My plea to the dailypaulSubmitted by jno060790 on Fri, 08/24/2012 - 20:40
To whom it may concern,
Ron Paul doesn't even want you to write his name in. Why not vote for someone who is actually running. Too many of us treat GJ like he is somehow comparable to Romney or Obama. He has stated he misspoke about 'humanitarian intervention' in his interview with Israel Anderson. You may not agree with every little tiny detail but he is 95% or better in line with Ron Paul. He also has a record of balancing budgets and vetoing bills with wasteful spending despite popular opinion (I lived in New Mexico when he was governor, and trust me he didn't let popular opinion sway his vote). We can't be this nit picky. It is good to have principles, but the way GJ is treated like a leper on this site is ridiculous. Ron Paul is a great man, but after Tampa his political career is over. You can vote me down, but you GJ bashers are just people who refuse to embrace anyone who is not a Ron Paul clone. His own son doesn't agree with him on everything. Gary Johnson isn't the lesser of three evils like many on this site would like to make him out to be. He is the only option running that proposes a balanced budget, ending the wars (war on drugs included), and abolishing the IRS among other things. And the first mention of him on this site is met with hostility. So I ask you open your minds a little more, which shouldn't be hard for this group considering we are more open minded than any political movement out there today. If you disagree with me, disagree, but don't be disrespectful. I will respect your opinions as I hope you respect mine.
