Top 3 reasons the liberty movement failed

1. Ron paul never defended himself. Throughout the campaign we have seen it , the fraud , the abuse. Never once did ron paul call anybody out on it. Never once did ron paul stand up for himself. Sorry to tell you this but politics is dirty business , if you dont defend yourself you are going to get walked all over. And thats what ron paul and the campaign allowed them to do , walk all over us.

What if ron paul had gone off during one of the fox interviews? Directly said on national television that there is active fraud going on? Some would falsely argue that it would be "blacked out". This is false because this is the wonderful thing about modern politics. The other side would take this clip and use it as ammunition against the republicans. If ron paul openly said he was being cheated out of the election , the left media would be playing that clip 24/7. This would have caused investigations from the outside , and it would have caused romney to be exposed for cheating.

2. Conspiracy theories.
This destoryed the credibility of the movement and its supporters completely. You may have your own opinions on this , but im not going to get into an argument about it. The average person on the street sees a ron paul supporter as a extremist who believes completely insane conspiracies about our government. The truther movement is the biggest culprit. Nobody is going to join a movement that thinks the government blew up the trade centers.

3. Letting the media get away with propaganda.
The campaign never adressed the fact that they were also being cheated out of the election by biased media coverage. Going forward (if this movement survives) this is priority number 1. You cannot , in 2012 , win an election without fair and equal media coverage. No amount of "grassroots" bullshit will ever change this fact. I suggest somebody make a high budget documentary on the media coverage of ron paul.

You failed

"Nobody is going to join a movement that thinks the government blew up the trade centers."

Yeah that's why millions have joined in the last several years...Sigh!
And that must be why 70% do not believe the official story on 9/11. It's the cowards who are afraid the truth will offend people so are willing to suppress it that are the drag on the liberty movement!

So if you think the liberty movement has failed because people in it are willing to stand for truth no matter the consequences then move on and let the real men and women patriots and warriors do the heavy lifting in the fight for freedom while those who fear the truth might offend someone cower in their beds at night!

In the words of Samuel Adams:
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

It didn't fail. The liberty movement is a lot more than just the 2012 election.

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." -J.R.R. Tolkien

The Liberty Movement HAS NOT FAILED

It is just getting started. In any movement or marketing campaign for that matter, you have 4 basic demographics.
1. The Innovators. They are the ones leading the Charge. Ron Paul, Rothbard, Mises, Hayek, etc are all examples of innovators, though I dare say that there are too many to name all and all not so famous. Yet.
2. The Early Adopters. They are most of what the Liberty Movement is today. We're the ones who've tried Liberty out and like it. We understand what it is and how it benefits us in many ways.
3. The Early Majority. They are what we are shooting for as a movement. They are the ones who have been convinced by 1 & 2 to consider Liberty as an Option and have agreed to commit to it for a period (Term).
4. The Late Majority. They are the ones that will be kicking and screaming once they figure out the movement is catching on. However, once they experience Liberty and the fruits thereof, they end up adopting it as well.

We are in Stage 2 and heading into Stage 3. It is important to bring up Conspiracy Theories because so many have a negative view of it. A theory is a theory, conspiracy or not. My advice is if one looks interesting to you, attempt to test it using Objective and Proven methods like the Scientific Method. Don't try to Prove Negatives. And don't share it with those you wish to consider Liberty as an Option if you don't have your facts straight.

We have to Sell this thing called Liberty. Not many are familiar with it, but it is obviously the best Product on the Market. Why is it such a hard sale? Change. People are resistant to Change, so the best way to get them to switch is through Adoption. Convince them to try it out. Convince them that 2 years with Libertarians Representing them will bring great Transparency, and 10 years will bring Prosperity for most.

Sorry guiltyspark, I have to disagree. We are just few years past getting underway and need to recognize where we are in our journey and who we want to join us.

Agree with #3 only. #3 means

Agree with #3 only. #3 means that #1 would be charicterized as being "insane" or a "sore loser" and also that sound libertarian theory could be charicterized as "conspiracy theory" aka #2. Ron Paul had massive support from Conspiracy theorists because he talked about conspiracy theories, period.

Ventura 2012

Conspiracy Theories

Aren't number one and number three conspiracy theories??

I agree with 1), disagree with 2) and 3).

2)I have backed so many trolls into corners that I have lost count. My coup de grace is "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to state my facts, while revealing yourself to be either a disinformation agent or fool."

3)If Ron Paul had done 1) and 2), we would not have needed 3).

"Nothing is over until we say it's over!"

Ron Paul did fail.

He failed to win the primary.
But, he won at:
1. Awakening people to Liberty
2. Revealing the FED
3. Energizing the youth
4. Bringing up unending wars and US tyrany
5. Bringing farcical right/left divide together.

The liberty movement lost a golden opportunity to win an election.
But, the movement won by:
1. Introducing many to the new face of liberty
2. Growing itself in many states
3. Enlarging the idea of grassroots movements
4. Introducing money bombs to bypass corporate money
5. Providing an alternative to neocon-ism for conservatives

So, I guess, Paul and the movement did fail.....NOT!!!

Why are you saying we Failed? We lost a contest that was rigged against us. We didn't Fail. There is no room for failure here.

1) Partial agreement in that I wish Candidate Paul handled the alleged vote fraud, Newsletter controversy and 'racist' associations differently

i. legally investigate dubious numbers in the face of wide popular support
and alleged anti-Campaign operatives

ii. privately identifying the ghost writer of the letters and disassociating with them until a public apology is made

iii. returning monies donated from any self-identified persecution group and publicly denounce their organization

iv. claiming organizational responsibility for any mis-Tweets and privately discipline the staff

2) Disagreement

3) Disagreement

Otherwise I celebrate Dr. Paul's valor and believe the Liberty Campaign did fairly well considering the odds

What's this...

the second most dangerous superstition?

Wait a minute there:

How can you quote "conspiracy theories" were part of the problem but then you quote "media propaganda"? They are directly related you blow-hole!

Liberty Movement failed my ass. NEXT...

I try to change people every day. Do You?

Have you been living under a rock?

1. He DID defend himself by remaining true to his character and by doing so the Fraud became very evident and out in the open. For many, they now know 100% that there is rampant corruption throughout the whole system.

2. A Corrupt System WAS a conspiracy theory that PROVED ITSELF REAL.

3. The CORPORATE Media got away with propaganda and PROVED another conspiracy theory RIGHT: The Corporate Media is a talking head for the corrupt establishment. This gave RISE to the Alternative Media that is a large part of the dying ratings of the Corporate Media.

You need to adjust your perspective.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

I disagree with

"a Corrupt System WAS a conspiracy theory." For whom? People who are focused understood things all along. 1) Majority of Americans today want free stuff; 2) Only a fraudulent system can accommodate such a demand for a long period of time. "FED is just a facilitator, not the cause of the problem" - RP.

You answered your own question I think

We, the focused, now have the proof to wake up more unfocused people with all the revelations that came out of the campaign.

You are also forgetting that Ron Paul inspired many people in OTHER nations who are facing elements of the same corrupt system. The Corporate Media does a great job as usual of NOT covering that news though.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

I would say, motivated rather than focused.

We are motitvated to spread the message of liberty. When we can align our thoughts with what is true and real it is liberating.

Of, course we want to share liberating experiences with our friends.

Individual Liberty brings prosperity.

The more the merrier!

Good point, but

keep in mind the limitations. One cannot call himself focused when he is 50% focused and 50% not. If you ARE focused, you would see that religious, socialists and other collectivists share the SAME morality of sacrificing an individual man to an abstract entity (god, universal neighbor, community, society.) "America first" or "the common good before the private good" goes well among DEM & GOP. The latter was the top slogan of Nazis.

Ok you're losing me

Those people's limitations are not my problem. It is their's and their's alone. You cannot assign such percentages to something that is so subjective.

But you did touch on a good point with the whole "America First" statement. I'm a Canadian citizen (born in Poland) but I do not define myself with the nation where I reside. I don't believe in imaginary lines on a map. I'm a Naturally Born Human. What I believe everyone in every nation should be thinking (a nice thought) is to put "Humanity First" as a whole not just a shade of skin or noises we make with our mouths that we call language.

Right now what's going on on a Global level, is that people are waking up to the fact that there is essentially a Global network established mainly through banking institutions and corporations, that is seeking to take control of the planet's wealth and resources while the people suffer. What I believe is on the horizon, is a Global Liberty Movement.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

At the VERY LEAST, the

At the VERY LEAST, the government was waiting for a big event to happen, and 9/11 was just such an event. They had the Patriot Act ready to go, wars in the middle east already prepared (but not against Saudi Arabia, where most of the hijackers came from), etc. It seems that they would have shot down these planes that were up there for an hour, but the military was off flying drills about hijacked planes. Interesting. Reach whatever conclusion you want, but anyone who is willing to look into it will reach similar conclusions.

Ron Paul stance on 9/11

Many folks here hurl abuses at Rand Paul & Gary Johnson for not being pure to Ron Paul stance. Now, I suggest 9/11 conspiracy folks to leave us alone. Otherwise, you remind us you have no personal integrity.

Well said!

Can't add anything to that.

9/11 was

an inside job.

Did you want to enter into a debate about this and talk about it like 2 adults? Honestly Liberty, I find it strange you come here and don't even fathom that 9/11 was an inside job. It surely was and it surely wasn't the first time in US history.

(9/11 Panel Suspected Deception by Pentagon. August 2006.

evidence provided enough probable cause to believe that military and aviation officials violated the law by making false statements to Congress and to the commission.

No evidence of Commercial Airlines found. NORAD didn't see anything either.

Free includes debt-free!

What part of this....

...do you not understand:

"hoping to hide the bungled response to the hijackings"?

Sorry to disappoint you and all others who think our government is as intelligent as James Bond, but the planes were, in fact, hijacked and the very same government that can't even deliver the mail on time bungled their response to the hijackers.

Enough of this 9/11 "Truther" nonsense. Time to wake up and live in the real world: James Bond is only found in the movies.

Believe the lies, because the truth is inconvenient?

I've never been a truther, but I always look for the truth.

Just the way I am.

Free includes debt-free!

I don't think we failed. I

I don't think we failed. I think we've become complacent since the end of the election. Ron's retired now and as much as I love the man we need someone else to carry the torch or even better we need multiple torch carriers. We need leadership and until we have a person or people we can all agree to support, we're just like a boat waiting for the wind to catch our sails.

We are the torch carriers

We are the torch carriers. No matter where you are, )I live in the Peoples Republic of Maryland), you can make the case for liberty. To have a society of liberty, we need to stop waiting for a hero to rescue us. Any man liable to being coopted. It would be much harder to co-opt millions.

Wait now...

I'm one of the people that believe that 9/11 was an inside job...and I joined the liberty movement....

There are many more out there that are waking up

2 Chron 7:13-14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Me 2, Sir.

Too many questions are unanswered and the Gooberment doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
