Tom Woods Speech at Paul Fest, gives shout out to The Daily Paul

Woods tells Paul supporters to be an army of one

"Whatever you do, remember the example of Ron Paul. In a world of cowards, stick to your principles. In a sea of lies, tell the truth. Into the darkness, shine a light. Do those things, be that person. That is what Ron Paul wants from you. Be courageous, and studious, and persistent. Remember that the one person on this earth you have full power to improve is yourself. Learn and teach whenever and wherever you can. Be your own army of one, and then you will be carrying on the Ron Paul legacy."

Oh and the Oathkeepers definitely need our help.

They're targeted now, like never before.

Freedom lives in all of us. Where the living is an action word.

If there is a 2016 as we would know it.

such a forceful speaker

anyone remember the speech a year and a half ago in LA where towards the end Tom Woods did this masterful part about once believing the GOP and their ideas about war, then waking up and amazingly speaking out to encourage others. very effective.

the speech given wearing the down home blue sweater...

is one I'll always remember...a classic

tom is part of a brave group of Americans on American soil willing to fight for our very freedom

I'm an American, a Tennessean, and just who is this that has taken away our rights and forced us into slavery?

These brave men and women and me and you all will see this country right or die fighting for liberty.

I freaking love this man

One way or the other we need to convince Tom to run for president as a Republican in 2016 just to get him on the debates and educate the country/world...

I don't care if he drops out after the debates just as long as he gets on that damn Republican debate stage!

Tom, I know you don't want to get into politics (I can't blame you) but do you realize how many people you'll educate? Plus, not to mention you'll sell so many more books!

It's a win-win, Tom!

I Ryan Paul endorse MITT ROMNEY!

It was great and more

Not only was his speech great, so was his Q and A with the dozens of supporters that were circled around him for a very long time asking questions and getting autographs and pictures. He is very personable and humble. I wish he was able to speak for an hour to the crowd. It was awesome.

Tom Woods is One Person I'm paying Attention to...

...Since Rand Paul crashed and burned with his endorsement of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan we now know who is NOT going to take the baton from Ron Paul as leader of the Liberty movement when the appropriate time comes. Tom Woods is brilliant and eloquent like Ron Paul. Could he be the one? We'll have to wait and see. Tom is one to watch.

Rand Paul did not crash and burn. Get over the endorsement thing. Ron Paul himself endorsed Neocon Lamar smith in 2010

If you pay attention to the tone of comments at the Daily Paul

You'll see that Rand did crash and burn. I've read a lot of commentary here and continue to and it's clear he has alienated a lot of liberty minded people. There is a huge percentage. That doesn't mean I don't like Rand. I actually do. I would take Rand for President as a no brainer if matched up against Romney any day. I like him in much the same way I like Jim DeMint or Mike Lee as a good decent Senator. At the same time I now recognize Rand as someone who prefers to work as a politician rather than an impeccably honest individual who will speak his mind regardless of the fallout. I see Rand as fitting within the movement but not as a leader of the movement. Ron his father brought us all together and it was specifically because he acted and spoke as he truly believed regardless of the fallout. Just as Tom Woods declared in his speech "An Army of One." The Army of One is the stance of a statesman and not a politician. It takes years of patience and principled actions to become a statesman and it must be earned. It's clear Rand prefers not to be an Army of One. He is trying for the short cut. It falls short for those of us in the know. It is we the people who choose our leaders. Someone will surface. It won't be Rand.

you rock Tom!!!

Maybe You Should Line Up Woods For Prez...What Say You?

Why Not Tom Woods? He is a much better speaker than Rand Paul and you could trust him not to endorse someone like "The Romulan"

Randall Paul turned out to be a failure and a complete disgrace..

Time to draft Tom Woods..

Tom Woods in 2016...If there is a 2016

Good luck waitng for 2016...We will be lucky if we survive into 2013..

This is the revolution!

After all the kissing up to Romney and the GOP by Rand and the Campaign, its nice to here someone tell it like it is!

Best speech of the day

Thanks Tom.

Thanks for posting go.

Free includes debt-free!

we need

this guy to run for president in 2016! already he's gaining quite the following. he's a very likeable guy, smart, speaks very well for our cause.i'd get behind this guy in a heartbeat

He's an anarchist

It's true. It the logical conclusion of libertarianism, and I'm proud to say I'm one too.

not me

Libertarians are not anarchists. Libertarians have thought through the consequences of anarchy and understand the need for governments that the people have control over.

You are referring to minarchy,

small government. One of your flaws in logic is not remembering that the prime directve of the state class is to enlarge it's power and scope, NOT to protect indiviual liberty. Your minimal state will inevitably become totalitarian because it has a monopoly on power over other people, as we have seen play out in "the great American Constitutional experiment". The other one is that you are endowing the state class with a superior moral judgment that they simply do not have. Give any human being absolute power over other human beings and they will tyrannize. Absolute power corrupts absolutely....even when "we" vote for it.

Oh, well,

who needs logic when government makes us "feel" safe, right?

Above all, he's a free market

Above all, he's a free market Austrian economist and Libertarian.

Anarchy is not logical at all

It's tyranny of power.

We suffered through many periods of anarchy before the American republic. Without law, those with power and wealth dominate all others even more easily and more ruthlessly. Anarchy only works in theory, because there are always those that choose evil.

Those with power and wealth who tyrannize

nearly always are in CAHOOTS with government to work their evil. They just buy the pols. You haven't learned this yet?

NOTHING works in theory...

..that does not work in fact.

Please stop misusing the word "theory." A theory is not a guess, or a hope, or a wish, or an idea, or even an hypothesis. A theory is a carefully constructed explanation of all the known facts pertaining to a phenomenon. A theory not only explains each detail, but predicts new information and behaviors.

Our understanding of gravity and evolution and laissez faire economics are all tested and reliable theories.

Anarchy works in the real world. You've probably seen it yourself. Every so often a big storm will blow out the traffic lights and anarchy will break out at every previously controlled intersection. Drivers will stop, look, AND TAKE TURNS proceeding with NO ONE FORCING their will on them or issuing traffic tickets.

There's theory and there's scientific theory

Don't confuse them.

Anarchy does not mean without law, only without rulers.

Check out a couple blogs I wrote detailing my process in learning about anarcho-capitalism.

I just read

"Why Anarcho-Capitalism?" and it looks pretty good to me. Gotta go read the next one now.
Other than the RSS feed is there any way I can be notified when you post another article?

Also, have you read "The Probability Broach" by L.Neil Smith? (see http://www.bigheadpress.com/tpbtgn for a illustrated version) The society he describes sounds like Anarcho-Capitalism and sounds great to me! Altho he has 'a' government it isn't much noticed or paid attention to. (They even had "none of the above" for president one term! LOL)

, thanks for reading, and I haven't read that but I'll add it to my ever-growing reading list!
