thread. Original is here.

We really don't need 4 threads on this subject with everything going on..

Thanks for understanding.

Let's be honest about this event.

It was NOT a Ron Paul event. It was a "all of you Ron Paul supporters should now back Gary Johnson" event. That is why it failed. That is why the campaign couldn't get involved. That is why you saw LP posters everywhere.

The fact is, if you support GJ right now, you are NOT a Ron Paul supporter. Once the nomination process is over, do what you want, but until then you are either supporting one or the other. It is literally impossible to vote for both.

Don't take this the wrong way. GJ is my backup plan. There were some great speakers at that event. BUT, how can Ron Paul possibly be involved with an event that includes another political party while he is still trying to win the Republican nomination? Don't you think that would eliminate any possibility of that happening?

Why did they not combine the two events?

The Paul campaign should have invited Tom Woods, Lew Rockwell, and Peter Schiff to speak. It sounds like those guys were given the cold shoulder. If this was Jesse's idea to not invite them than that is terrible. Schiff, Woods, Rockwell, Doyle, and the likes have contributed much more to our movement than Jesse Benton. But i'm just speculating, perhaps those guys were invited, and declined.

Lew Rockwell did speak at the

Lew Rockwell did speak at the Pauls rally..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Speclating, thank you

Everyone here bashing Jesse is just speculating also.

They don't know. I don't know.

I don't know these bashers, so I don't trust them, but I do know Ron, I trust Ron, Ron trusts Jesse COMPLETELY. so I trust Jesse.

It's that simple folks, if you don't trust Jesse you don't trust Ron.

I don't trust Jesse any further than I can kick him.

I trust Ron to leave me free and tell me true.

Free includes debt-free!

Actually, Dr. Steve Parent introduced the Delegate Strategy.....

back in 2007-2008.

Doug Wead was lying then when he gave Jesse the kudos yesterday at the rally.

According to the Weedman Benton is the architect of our delegate strategy.

It's OK for some.

It's OK for some to take others work as their own. Happens all the time. Works great until revealed.

Free includes debt-free!

Benton bashing is Paul bashing

Ron's son-in-law, Jesse Benton is A GREAT HERO TO THE LIBERTY MOVEMENT.

Jesse gave US the delegate strategy, WE now have a REAL voice INSIDE the convention.

All of the Benton bashers are Rombots or paid trolls.

Benton Bashers are traitors.

Jesse is the next Ron

All those attacking him are the same folks who have attacked Ron all these decades. These attacks against him are meant to keep him from taking his rightful place in our leadership.

Ron Paul TRUSTS Jesse.

Without Jesse WE would have ZERO state delegations heading into Tampa.

Because of Jesse, and Jesse ALONE, we are now in control of many state and county delegations across America.

So yeah, all these faceless, baseless, VAGUE accusations against him have to be coming from somewhere other than the liberty movement.

Ron Paul LOVES him and therefore so do I.

Now that's going too far.

Jesse Benton may have had something to do with the strategy but, to say we wouldn't have the state delegations without him is silly. There is more than one member of Dr. Paul's team.

Of course any accusations, regardless of where they originated, are picked up and run with by those who would kill our Liberty Movement. But, your blind devotion does the same thing, too.

not far enough

Until this election cycle EVERYBODY thought that winning the 'beauty contest' was how the delegates to the convention were selected.

The real ACTION was hidden from the masses to prevent the kind of strategy that Jesse employed so well.

It is not within the realm of possibility that we would have this HUGE of a delegation without a well organised and executed plan, which we WOULD NOT HAVE HAD without Benton.

AND it was/is Benton who has led the resistance against the GOP assault on OUR delegates.

His part in the effectiveness of the strategy should not be maligned.

Benton is a tool

that sabotaged supporters big time. Period! You don't like it that many feel this way, tough noogies.

Dogmatic much?

I think that Jesse is a hero to the liberty movement and will continue to be, but I think he was seriously misplaced. I think he would have been better as an adviser, with Wead as manager.

If you don't take the good with the bad, then you end up throwing everyone out. Jesse had some good contributions, but his gaffes and outbursts make me think that someone else should have held the actual management position.

I am not Paul-bashing, I'm not a Rombot, I'm not a paid troll, and I'm not a traitor. That was kind of harsh.

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

Couldn't agree with you more!

From day one, I thought Wead was misplaced and should have been the campaign manager.

And I don't bash people, until they get on my last nerve. Although I do wonder about some people, in the end, I trust Dr. Paul's instincts.

Which is it?

You make no sense, do you trust Dr Paul's instincts or was Benton misplaced?

The organizers sucked.

But that does not have anything to do with Ron Paul's campaign manager trying to sabotage the festival. Jesse Benton is immature and politics is not his cup of tea. He could always go into law enforcement. They like the vengeful saboteur types.

Doug Wead gave a shout out to Jesse Benton and John Tate at the Rally yesterday. The massive audience went silent. No 'boos', just silence. Awesome.

This post is misleading

Did Jessie Benton convince all the people NOT to show up too? The attendence was beyond poor. And the organizers have only themselves to blame.

From early on their customers let the organizers know of their dissatisfaction with the program. From the first failed money bomb attempts, the organizers should have made adjustments to the program that fit the customers desires and needs.

But instead, the organizers claimed we were 'dividers' and forged ahead with their own agenda, as if they were the 'leader of the grassroots'. Well, the market is always smarter than any one person. The organizers deliberately decided not to listen to the market, and they got burned.

While I have no affection for Jessie Benton, I do find it funny that the same people (organizers & others) that were calling for Jesse to be fired, or hanged, or worse, are now mad because Jesse struck back. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction....

Next time ask yourselves WWRPD, What would Ron Paul do? Maybe then you will learn to treat people with a bit more respect, dignity and class, even when you dont like them....

Everything is not a "head game".

Fact is most of us are broke I would have been there if I could have gone. Not just for P.A.U.L Fest, but for the rally, and just to be with like minded people to support Dr. Paul and the delegates.

Bad economy, baaa humbug!!!!

Ron Paul was shielded and the only way to get to him

was through Jesse Benton. I already posted about MN and it happen in other states as well like North Dakota and the list goes on. Its up to our delegates this week to make the cause to elect the true conservative that can beat Obama in the General Election.

Ron Paul was shielded? If that's true, then

the only way for him to get information was by reading Daily Paul, which he does read. He knew. One way or the other, Ron Paul always knew what was going on.

Well said!

Go Delegates!!!!!

Let us disappoint the Men who are raising themselves upon the ruin of this Country. John Adams

go delegates!

And thank Jesse Benton that you are there!
