RNC Tightens Noose On Delegates In Last Minute Rule Change - Cynthia Kennedy Reports From the Trenches!

It’s 9:30pm in Tampa, and meetings are taking place all over the city, where delegates just received a copy of yet another proposed rule change by the RNC.

This is the shot being fired over the bow that everyone has known would be coming. The question now is, will some delegates still nominate Ron Paul or another candidate? Does it matter that even though many of us are bound by our state caucus or primary rules to vote for Romney, we’re only nominating a candidate – not voting for them? How many delegates will risk being evicted from the floor of the convention?

“You guys get kicked out, I’m going with you,” said one delegate from Nevada bound for Ron Paul, who wouldn’t be at risk for removal.

Right now states are maneuvering, will there be the five needed for Paul to have the plurality he needs for nomination? Tomorrow afternoon, all will be revealed, but in the meantime, read the rules change below, the latest from “The Party of Unity.”

IF the RNC succeeds in

IF the RNC succeeds in blocking the nomination of Ron Paul, then the only effective fall-back position for the Liberty movement is to block Romney by voting for Obama, WHILE CAMPAIGNING OUR HEARTS OUT for a Liberty-leaning House and Senate--which can summarily impeach a President for over-reaching.

Oyez

Delegates make the rules.

Get out and lobby those delegates. Take the chance and vote for Dr. Ron Paul or don't vote at all in the first round. They will lose face if the eject delegates. Can let Mitt Romney have the nomination without a fight.

Talk about the "Emperors New Clothes"

Man, these guys are the epitome of arrogance.

If not us than who?

And everyone is now seeing it.

Once they recognise that this is the type of government they are in for if they vote for either one of the puppets then perhaps they will wake up and turn to the light. They already complain about Obama's arrogance. Now they can see for themselves that Romney is no different.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

It sounds like another version of Henry Ford's dictum:

"You can have any color you like so long as it's black".

Now it's "You can vote for anyone you like so long as it's Romney".

This behaviour is ensuring their defeat. It's an extreme paranoia betraying their collective fear of Ron Paul and everything he stands for that will bring an end to their empire. Like Ron Paul said in his speech at his We Are The Future Rally: "We are standing on the brink of an New Era".

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

It's Dr. Ron Paul's Day.

Good Morning Delegates, go out and make history.

Incredible Power Grab

So you're telling me that if a delegate is "bound" (and I know everyone is unbound) to Romney, but if they either vote for or nominate anyone BUT Romney, or if they ABSTAIN on the first round:

They're penalized under state party rules.

They're considered to have resigned their position as a delegate.

Their votes for Ron Paul\abstentions DON'T COUNT and their votes are counted for Romney anyway.

They can't even nominate Ron Paul but still vote for Romney if they needed.

What's the purpose of even HAVING delegates? Even if word gets around and everyone gets pissed and walks out in protest, they'll STILL count everyone as if they'd voted for Romney!

Is the RNC INSANE?

Can this be challenged? I'm sure the delegates didn't vote on this change! This sounds like it breaks federal election laws as well.

TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS WHILE THERE IS STILL TIME! INFORM ALL DELEGATES!

Federal Law

It is the Federal Law that no one can intimidate a delegate to a Federal Election who is voting to nominate a president and vice-president of the United states. That is according to Attorney Richard Gilbert.

starts at the 2:15 mark.

Vote to nullify all rules proposed at this late date at this convention. Then follow your conscience and abstain on the first ballot.

That is to all delegates. You know because of the shoddy circumstances of the whole nominating process this is the only thing you can do to prevent the country from becoming a fascist state.

Make it a brokered convention!

May God be with you all. Know that we appreciate all you are doing

is there a specific plan to fight this???

I have contacts w/ delegates from at least 4 states that will fight tooth and nail to not let this stand!!

please let us know!

less than 10 hours left

Get them to tell the other delegates that since they've had only a matter of hours, they haven't had time to explore the ramifications of adopting this rule. And that they may be in violatuon of election laws at the state and local levels.

If that case were to turn out to be true, Mitt risks being disqualified in the GE- so out of protection for the nominee, they must not adopt this rule.

Wait.. they're citing state

Wait.. they're citing state law and party rules? The same state laws they ignore, and party rules they change as they go along?

Such a sham.

State Laws

do not apply .........this is for a Federal Election.

I was just referring to the

I was just referring to the letter they've written:

"At the same time, the revised language closes a loophole in our party rules, which previously failed to include a penalty for delegates who break their promise to vote for a particular Presidential candidate as required by state law or state party rules."

Seems the state rules/laws are handy when they're to Reince's advantage, if not, well, we'll just change them, or ignore them. Eh Preibus?

"At the same time, the

Sounds like they are threatening the delegates too. I hope there is a good bit of civil disobedience today. Peaceful with the delegates being dragged out for doing what was right. Will speak volumes to the world!
