Nebraska (2)
Nevada (6)

Texas (1)

Note: For Pennsylvania - he actually said Paul Ryan, but he must have meant Ron Paul, no?

Note: I had to assume 3 abstain votes from Oklahoma because they only announced 40 of their 43, 2 abstain votes for Michigan because they only announced 28 of their 30, 2 abstain votes for Nebraska because they only announced 33 of their 35 and 1 additional abstain vote from Nevada because they only announced 27 of their 28

Nobody abstained from MA...sad.

Thank you for posting this.

I was wondering as I listened this afternoon. We should all be very proud. This message has come a long way. I know I am recent voter to come around and see the light. Keep pushing and never give up. Thank you delegates!!!

I am confused...

According to the article below; Ron Paul won 6 states...

Other than Nevada, states submitting Paul's name for nomination are Iowa, Oregon, Minnesota, Alaska and the Virgin Islands.

http://m.lvsun.com/news/2012/aug/28/paul-gets-needed-petitio...

but did the RNC change the nomination rules from 5 to 8 states???

I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

SO No Plurality in 5 states?

.

They changed it to 8.

So he wasn't placed into nomination.

how does rick santorum

only have 9? could someone be more specific than mitt romney is cheating.

A large majority of the unbound Santorum delegates voted for...

A large majority of the unbound Santorum delegates voted for Mitt Romney. It didn't look like any of them switched to Paul.

Sad...but what did you

Sad...but what did you expect?

A huge part of the American public, including a huge part of the Republican party, either doesn't know about or doesn't like Ron Paul. With the media bashing him all the time, he had steep hill to climb, and it is very hard to blame him for not doing it.

The focus should turn to this:

1) Forget the old people. People over ~40, if they don't like Ron Paul, aren't going to change their ways. They are set. Too bad, we lost 'em.

2) Break the media fog. By any reasonable means. Use NBC as a platform to attack Fox news if you have to. Paint neoconservatives as crazies and paleoconservatives as the real conservatives.

3) Own the youth vote.

4) Focus on what is popular. ROn Paul's views on war are his most popular views. Get elected on that, and then strive to make changes on drugs, immigration, spending, welfare, etc.

I'm not downvoting you but will set you straight on the over 40.

WTH would you want to forget about the over 40 crowd. That's the majority of the voters.

I will tell you that the man who turned me on to Ron Paul 5 years ago was 86 years old. I am 50 and turned my kids on to Ron Paul. They turned their friends, my ex (their dad), and many, many others on to Ron Paul. I myself came to know and love Ron Paul @ over 40.

If that is truly what you think you are thinking like a collectivist. Or, maybe you are just sad and pissed, like most of us.

hes not being "ageist"

hes just not articulating that generally people of or over that age are not really looking for themselves. Its because you used to be able to turn on the tv and watch the news and listen to the truth. not that many are very adept with finding their way around the internet unless it falls into their lap. not trying to be rude by any means but just think about it. Go ask some 40+ year old people that are not in the IT field.

Look, it is a matter of

Look, it is a matter of resources.

Ron Paul doesn't have infinite resources, in terms of manpower and especially money. IT makes sense for the movement to focus on getting people who are more receptive to changing their minds. Receptiveness correlates to youth...basically, I am advocating a targeted strategy.

truth is truth, be it on the interwebz or face to face.

Maybe the key is not to get more folk on the internet, but to get us OFF the internet so much and into our lives, talking to people more. We are being characterized in poor light at best, and it is obvious to all of us I am sure, that there are more *actors* shown on media and in forums as Ron Paul supporters than actual supporters.

Interpersonal communication is the biggest threat to tyranny.

Still. People have got to value their own liberty enough to allow other people theirs.

#1

I am 53 years old and a lifelong Republican. I despised the Bush family, father and son, and became disenchanted with politics in general. The first time I heard Ron Paul, I liked him, but politics didn't matter to me. I watched the debates in 08 and fell in love with Ron Paul, but still, I saw his chance as 0 and didn't get involved until the run up to this years nomination. I have converted many a person my age and older to Ron Paul. I even got a few other fifty's+ to help me distribute super brochures. The biggest problem with people in my generation is they are addicted to TV. They are not comfortable with alternative media. They are in the dark- unkowingly consuming propaganda. They can be reached out to only by a personal association with a Ron Paul supporter.Friends and family will gladly listen and join up if you let them know the truth. I agree that many of the Party Hack types like you saw today at the convention are unreachable, but really, how many like that do you know? Most people are very open to listen to an eager messenger that they know. All politics is local. The old folks are your best allies and will smooth out the edges of the youthful indescretions.

I concur

I'm Canadian but I work with Americans. I've turned a few towards Ron Paul and the whole point here is, we are ALL over 50.

Hey Archons', we are taking our planet back and there's nothing you can do about it!

You picked the wrong day to

You picked the wrong day to insult people you arrogant pos. I`m 48 and only found the good Dr. in 08`. Plenty of people older and younger than I have listened to what I`ve had to say about liberty and agreed. Your age has nothing to do with it. How many "young" people will only vote democrat? Individuals, not groups is the message since you forgot...

I am humbled by the brave few that stood up against so many

and fought to vote for Ron Paul. Thank you so very much.

What about VP?

They can still vote Ron Paul as VP, right?

Well i'm glad for one thing.

Newt got 0 :)

Incredible. Just heard on NPR

Incredible.
Just heard on NPR that Santorum came in second.
After all this, the black out still continues.
F@@@ them all.

REALLY?! That is just... wow.

REALLY?!
That is just... wow.

What happened to Arkansas?

What happened to Arkansas? thought we were supposed to have delegates there. more false optimism.

Yeah - they gave all 36 votes to Romney...

Yeah - they gave all 36 votes to Romney...

Yes... 5 from Pennsyvania were for Ron PAUL

Yes... 5 from Pennsyvania were for Ron PAUL

But Think

about how far we came. In 2008, Dr. Paul just got 15 delegate votes, this year he got 190. I look forward to casting my first vote for a liberty candidate in 2016, and although this election was tough on the liberty movement, now is not a time to give up, just to pass the torch of our leadership. Keep going and grow stronger. Movements take years, and most of the unsuccessful ones are because the movement's members give up after a defeat. Don't give up, we will see this to the end.

This. We've come a long

This.
We've come a long way.
The message is spreading.
We're getting better organization and more people in positions of power.
Maybe in four years, we'll have Rand Paul, Justin Amash, Tom Davis, or even a Gary Johnson or Andrew Napolitano running for the GOP nomination.
At some point, we'll reach a tipping point and give the GOP the shock of their lives.
Also, I just want to say that I'm impressed. That's a very mature reply by a 15 year old. Keep it up!

WRONG Didn't you hear about the rules change?

Under the rules as shoved through by Romney - if he wins he gets to practically hand select the delegates for the next convention.

The very process we used to do so well will not be allowed and we will be closer to the votes we had in 2008.

Romney wil Never Win

By 2016 we will be the Tent.......Remember ......and we will nullify these rules.

Right. That's true. Well,

Right. That's true.
Well, we're kinda screwed then.
But what else are we supposed to do?

Take a Deep Breath

relax and take it easy for a spell. The answers will come for each one of us.

capitalize on the Ron Paul movement momentum

and found new Liberty party? Leave GOP to it's fate? Not vote neither for Rmoney nor for any their neocon candidate to Congress?
