12 hours of PaulFest in HDSubmitted by RonPaulPascoNetwork on Tue, 08/28/2012 - 18:49
Our group, the Ron Paul Pasco Network has videotaped around 12 full hours of HD video footage, which represents approximately 80% of the activities, speeches and music presented at the P. A. U. L. Festival this weekend.
Hi, it's Kevin. There is a huge amount of material to video capture, edit, render, upload and tag with good descriptions and titles, so please be patient through the week. As I write this, the first eight videos are uploaded to YouTube and ready to view and share. Looking at the stack of MiniDV tapes on my desk, there are another 9 more hours of tape to go! Big project. I need some more coffee.
This footage was shot on a semi-pro Panasonic PV-GS400 camera, which records to miniDV 60min video tapes. The camera mic was upgraded to a high quality stereo shotgun mic, which was pushed to its limits because the music was extremely loud at this event. In some cases I shot video from the bleachers in the back of the hall, and the shotgun mic brought the speaker's words in nice and clear with the tele mode, despite the echo. A decent tripod really helped to steady the shots, especially during extreme zooming. As I shot these, I was trying to keep in mind what you'd like to see, zooming and panning to capture it best, and to provide steady video.
I hope you enjoy this incredible video collection of liberty minded speakers and musicians. I tried to present the experience just as if you were present, with no commentary added. The speeches and music are recorded in their entirety, with few exceptions.
Perhaps this is what an annual Liberty Festival would look like. We thoroughly enjoyed all the speeches, vendors and great music. Would you come to a future event of this type?
