An angry post about leaving the party.

I wrote the post while extremely angry. I have no idea how to delete a post, so after much consideration, I decided just to edit it out of existence.

Romney is a bully, a liar, a thief, an empty suit, who will win only by deception. He fits in well with the old established Republicans who are a warmongering, prejudiced, self righteous band of hypocrites. But we are the future and even though I'm angry at the treatment Dr Paul and his delegates have received from the RNC, I'm proud to be a part of such a wonderful group of patriots, who call themselves Republicans. Thanks for taking the time to comment to my previous rant. Whether you stay in the Republican Party, as Ron Paul suggests we do, or go support another, we are all on the same team for liberty in the rEVOLution. Each of us will spread the message across America and the world.

Romney gave his acceptance speech tonight. It was all platitudes. No issues, no suggestions of how to fix anything. We will succeed because we are exceptional and we deserve to be rich and prosperous, he said. Total BS, after what has been done around the world in the name of America, I hope that we don't reap our just rewards. He had a look of evil in his eyes. He has made it very clear that he does not want my vote anyway.

How anybody can be a republican after the 8 years of Bush's congress running the country into the ground and transfering 80% of the countries wealth from the people to the banksters is beyond me. Not a fan of Clinton either -his record on civil liberties was abyssmal.

I can't find the silver lining just now, and I'm looking pretty hard.

We face an even tougher environment than Dr. Paul faced 30+ years ago. Our enemies include the media, many among the wealthy, the corrupt establishment politicians, and even multinational corporations.

Theirs a reason why RP ran as a republican all these years. because he is a republican, at least one of the historical sence, trying to restore the party, and knowing 3rd party tickets aren't effective.

The Republican party proved today that the party bosses roots are dug SO DEEPLY, that not even obvious vote manipulation can be stopped. Romney was their guy. Nothing could stop it. Nothing and nobody would stop it.

I will not be a part of this party. I'm not tied to the name "Republican." All you guys dedicated to reforming the Republican Party.... WHY?!?! It's a name. Pave the path in a new party. Pioneer a new trail. It's what the Founders did. It's what I'm doing.

and my enemies closer. The best way to get revenge on the GOP establishment, is to stay in the party, support new faces and real change and never donate money. In the general election, vote 3rd party. Leaving the party might make you feel good, but then you're no longer a threat, and the only way to get the attention of the status quo is to be a threat (and we have their attention).

Ron Paul is My Congressman

He's the one who best represents me.

That said, I would like to invite anyone who can't stomach their local GOP to join the LP (if there is a group near you).

The way the GOP operates is not new; it has only been exposed so clearly because we now have the Internet and because of the Ron Paul campaign. I gave up being in one of the dominant parties a long time ago.

If you are in a state or region where the freedom fighters made inroads in the GOP or where they were welcomed, you might want to stay there, but feel free to use Gary Johnson as a protest vote.

The real fight will be in Congress, since that's the body that needs to grow a backbone and stop these out of control executives.

I can't stomach the LP

We have 71 (seventy one) registered LP memebers in my county of 36K population. The closest LP committee is 3 hour drive, in another county, and meets only around election time to nominate. It's a JOKE, that's why they nominate Republican'ts like GJ (and why I can't stomach anymore of the LP nominating GOP for president.. and a guy who was running in the GOP...come on!)

I will stay in the party, but vote for Gary Johnson, that is of course if Ron Paul is not on the ballot somewhere. Ron Paul is still my president, and has been since 2008. His polite command is to turn the Republican party back to it's roots, so back to it's roots I must accomplish. Unless my president say's otherwise that is exactly what I will do.

I was one of the first on the boat to change the party from within, but the stink of the accumulated shit in this boat is making me sick. Gotta get out of here for awhile. I need to puke.

There is no worse stink then what we have at state level. Local level is a different story, they are nice well meaning very much asleep people. I guess it's just easier for me then it is for you.

If you want to make a statement, sure you can leave the GOP. If you want to punish the GOP or actually CHANGE anything, then opting for a 3rd party is not the smartest thing to do. The GOP could care less if you leave the party. I think they would actually be glad, since they would have one less vote to be fraudulent about.

A 3rd party has no chance, cause the two party system has changed the rules in favour of themselves. You thought we've been treated unfairly? A 3rd party doesn't even have the chance to feel cheated, cause they aren't allowed into the race to begin with (no debates, etc.). Unless the election laws change, a 3rd party has no viable chance. And who gets to change those election laws? Right, the two parties currently in power.

This Wasn't True for Me

If I hadn't left the Democrat party (I was in California and they had more candidates to choose from in primaries) to register Libertarian, I would not have heard about Ron Paul last century (1995 or so), and participated in supporting his congressional races. Somebody has to keep the flame alive.

I sleep much better voting for Libertarian candidates, knowing that I voted for the best candidate. I feel much better supporting libertarian candidates (doesn't matter which party they're in).

My role in the LP is to make sure voters have the option to defend our liberties in every race. It's a good feeling and I know that I'm working with the "party of principle."

Become the Tent

Ron Paul did not say become the Republican Party. He said become the tent! Why do you think a big tent like the Liberty Tent has to have a GOP logo on it? Patriots come from all Parties.

Don't give up now.

Omaleta is making the establishment happy. They want us playing by ourselves in the powerless LP when we're making great strides in reforming the GOP.

Their cheating and stealing is pissing off the party regulars and grassroots who oppose corruption. It makes the establishment considerably weaker.

The Liberty Movement has taken over Nevada, Maine and Alaska State Parties and gaining influence in many others. We're putting a big check on the corruption. Yes, we've lost an important battle in 2012, but we're winning the war. We've got many great Liberty Candidates on the November ballot. We'll have more in 2014 and 2016.

Now is not the time to give up.

Don't let your ego get in the way of your power.

I also have thought about leaving BUT it's not the time yet. As soon as we leave we no long have the advantage of the threat. And one of the most important things I learned at Paulfest was the Ron Paul Inspired, libertarian minded people are actually taking over the the Grand Old Party in their towns, counties, districts and states.

What really scares the neocon party leaders is not us leaving the GOP but taking over and keeping the name. Investigate what the patriots did in Pahrump NV, and the states of NV & NH. We can beat them from the inside out.

The nomination process is just another battle in another campaign. It's not the war or the defining battle, that occurs in Nov.

I think we should wait until Ron Paul leaves the GOP and all leave at once. Now that is powerful. Even though we are registered as republicans we can vote any way we want. Don't let your ego get in the way of your power.
