The Rebirth of Liberty

"Hope is a waking dream."
-Aristotle

“On August 28th in the year 2012, the Ron Paul for president movement came to an end.”

Perhaps this is not a suiting epitaph for what has been an amazing 8 years of sweat, tears, and blood, but it is a fact that we cannot deny. We must face the truth and accept the pain of defeat for a brief time once again.

I know the emotions which are running high at this moment for they course my veins as well: anger, sadness, fear, despair, loathing, depression.

Some of us cry for action in support of Gary Johnson. Others are vying to fight until the end of the November election where they will write-in Dr. Paul’s name.

But if there is one thing I hope that we can all agree on at the moment it is the past we all share and the future we have together.

Throughout history’s worst times, it has not been the frustrated single individuals crying out to the stars that have made the difference.

WE NEED SOLIDARITY. And the easiest place to find it is in the passion we have all shared for Liberty in this fight.

Look within, the passion still exists! Nurture that flame! Keep it alive! Spread it where you can! And most importantly never let it go out!

We all have a job to do in the coming years and it will not be easy. Ron never expected it to be easy, and never gave up. Even after nearly 40 years in the cause of Liberty, he has fought to the bitter end.

I love America. I love Ron Paul. I love the Daily Paul. I love all of you...

But most importantly:

I LOVE LIBERTY!!!

And so do you!

So I say to you all:

RISE UP AND PREPARE YOUR BLADES FOR BATTLE!

THE FIGHT HAS JUST BEGUN...

AND IF THE POWERS OF TYRANNY ARE LOOKING FOR A FIGHT?

LET IT BE US WHOM ANSWER THEM IN THE FIELD!

WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT, BUT INSTEAD RAISE SUCH A FLAME FOR FREEDOM THAT IT SHALL NEVER BE EXTINGUISHED!

Blessings to you all...and I will see you out there.

Good Night, and Good Luck!

bump

Sorry to self bump, but I really believe this is important for many of us to hear.

"Liberty's too precious a thing to be buried in books...Men should hold it up in front of them every single day of their lives and say: 'I'm free to think and to speak. My ancestors couldn't. I can. And my children will."

-Jimmy Stewart
