Boehner Must GoSubmitted by cablenewsjunkie on Wed, 08/29/2012 - 02:04
John Boehner's actions today have given us a brief window of time to build a broad spectrum of support for his removal.
It's not just Ron Paul supporters that are upset over the Orwellian rule changes 'passed' at the RNC on Tuesday. Tea Party groups, FreedomWorks, talk radio personalities, and columnists have all weighed in and voiced their concerns about these rule changes.
We should start coordinating with them now to unseat Boehner ASAP.
Unseating Boehner will not be easy (especially during a Presidential election year). Here is a link to his vote totals in elections going back to 1990.
We'll need someone with impeccable credentials that will appeal to the conservative base (but not exclusively), someone with name recognition...someone that is well-liked...someone whose words can help to start conversations around the water-cooler...someone who has a name that is easy to spell in case we have to mount an independent write-in campaign...someone who doesn't even have to actively campaign (but can just catch the political tide and ride to victory on an emotional wave of support) and someone who really doesn't have anything to lose by running because they're already very influential...and will remain so whether or not they defeat Boehner...
Can you guys think of anyone in the Cincinnati area that might fit this description?
I have one person in mind :)
But based on some internet research I've done, that person might not be interested in entering the political sphere...but it's worth a shot anyway...
