Summary of What Happened Yesterday (I made this update to share with my Romney leaning friends)Submitted by Ed Thinking on Wed, 08/29/2012 - 09:56
I don’t know if you understood what happened yesterday.
First of all, as you know, they played really dirty against Ron Paul during the primaries. This link is very good at documenting that:
Then the delegates he had they took a lot of them away (they made this design to show the affected states): http://twitter.com/tombenning/status/239846086951452672/photo/1
This delegate from Maine explains how they robbed him from his credentials:
But there are three very important things that you may not have heard from the news, that happened yesterday:
1. They changed the rules so the RNC is the one that picks the delegates now, they just killed the grass root movement.
2. They changed the rules so the RNC can change the rules at will WITHOUT the voting from the delegates (people call it the GOD rule). BTW they had to vote for this amendment so they did not allow the Virginia, Rhode Island and Iowa delegates in the convention because they were going to oppose the voting. Even after their tricks when they tried to vote for the rule change (you can see it here:
the voice vote when nowhere they should have then done a ballot vote but the corrupt speaker of the house said the 'yeas' had it.
3. Ron Paul had the required number of states to be nominated (and was nominated from the floor). The rules said that he should have been given 15 minutes to try to convince people to vote for him and so does Romney. But guess what? Since they can change the rules anytime, well, they changed the rules and denied Ron Paul the chance to speak:
The part I really like was when Minnesota reported the delegate votes for the nominee they said “Minnesota where we do fair elections”, 33 votes for Ron Paul! Here is short video of the votes for Ron Paul:
