I'm fkin terrified of what will be accomplished by the corrupt in the next 4 yrs.

We Have the 'Net

Start making friends, and have a sphere of influence. We may need to do some seminars on the perils of wage and price controls, the Constitution, and other things having to do with our problems.

I know how you feel, but I was sure I'd never have Social Security back in 1973, so sometimes disaster takes longer to happen than you think.

I'm optimistic like Ron Paul, but it will depend on our being ready to spring into action in leadership roles.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Rand Schools Neocons

Rand just schooled a huge room of neocons (plus those watching elsewhere) about Liberty, Free Enterprise, the role of individuals in our economy and the dangers of debt and big government.

Was it worth having to give a lukewarm Romney endorsement? I think so. Great job Rand.

I liked the speech also...

he's not his father but he still has the principles. He is willing to play politics to make gains and maybe that is good. I heard him say in one of his interviews that now that auditing the fed is part of the party platform, more GOP senators will feel a willingness to support the bill. I think he is very smart and I support him.

Denise B's picture

I know I am going

to be downvoted for this, but I have decided at this point that I will support Rand with the same vigor I supported his dad up until the point that he violates his oath of office (which I don't believe he will). I believe in my heart that Rand is of the same mind and heart of his dad. I believe he loves this country and wants to see it restored to it's Constitutional principles, but he has seen first hand that TPTB are so powerful and so in control of so much that his only chance to hope to make a difference in the long run was to do what he did. I also think that if he thought for one second that his dad could have actually gotten the nomination this year, he would not have done what he did. They were not going to allow Ron Paul to be nominated, I think that is very clear at this point.

It is so important that we all stay engaged and continue to fight in whatever capacity that we can to restore this country, especially in our voting system and integrity so that we can eventually gain enough of a foothold and presence that we can get the right person into office the next time around.

This war is not over people, not by a long shot if we refuse to give up. Keep fighting, keep working and keep waking people up and eventually we can turn this ship around. Look at how much one determined person accomplished in the last four years (Ron Paul) and imagine what an army of us can do if we fight with even half of the passion, determination and courage as he did. Anything less than that and he will have made all of his effort in vain, and that would be no less than a tragedy.

Going forward I'm supporting Rand, Amash, anyone

who is getting us in the direction we need to go. I think Rand is taking a calculated risk, he might get trapped in the long run or not. Whatever, he is one out of many. We need a tidal wave of people to take over the liberty message.

I agree Denise, the people expecting different from Rand ..

... and throwing him under the bus when he doesn't do things exactly the way his dad does, are not doing anybody any good.

Rand Paul

He did it once and now he did it twice.Rand Paul is Ron Pauls worst nightmare. What a back stabber!

Like father like son...

Ron Paul always says a certain senator from KY when referring to his son, why can't Rand do the same?

the video

makes me sick because every second I watch it I know that Ron Paul should be president. I don't think he would have it in him to last the 4 years, his age plus the constant political crap he would have to deal with would be too much.

I think he is what this country needs but the country doesn't know it.

Breaks my heart.

"The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle."

Rand knows what he is doing

Rand knows what he is doing and all you people who think he all of a sudden became a "neo-con" are equally as stupid as the people who think our government is actually run by the current or former Presidents. Get a clue. The hope is he can win the battles we do not see and out maneuver people with real power in a David vs. Goliath type manner. But he certainly doesn't need morons giving him **** when he IS the leader of our movement now and the some of the only tangible hope we now have in the near future.

Rand hasn't a clue

Rand knows what he is doing! Are you crazy? The RNC knows what they are doing and they just got Rand to screw his own dad for political gain. What a STUPID comment! They do this year in and year out every four years and they conspire to do this in dark little rooms.Yes,it is a conspiracy because they conspired to do this to Rand and his dad.Divide and conquer and Rand got sucked in.

Rand is not the leader...

...YOU and I and the rest of us are the leaders.

Let us go forth and lead.

"The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle."

Everyone knows I'm the

Everyone knows I'm the leader.

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

Is it me, or does that stadium have a lot of empty seats? Seems very pathetic. Kind of embarrassing for the GOP.

Rand Paul throws father under bus

Rand Paul throws dad under bus to save his own worthless but.

Rand Paul will campaign for Romney

Rand Paul gave an interview on ABC after his speech saying he would campaign for Romney. That is inexcusable. The excuse that he had to endorse Romney because of his senate race is one thing, but there is no reason to campaign for Romney. Pathetic.

Perhaps Rand just wants Obama out of office

Perhaps Rand Paul just wants Obama the socialist out of office and helping Romney is the only way to accomplish that now. Romney and Obama are not identical. Obama is significantly worse.

I agree

It crosses the line. I still like Rand's voting record, but I am concerned for him now.

Oh they just wheeled out McCain

The man is a walking cadaver.

Too bad

It talks too.

"Its easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled."
Mark Twain

Before you bash Rand Paul...

...stop and think about watching your father speak the truth with courage and comitment while being laughed at and belittled for nearly 20 years. Imagine the nights spent talking to him after he spoke to a room of only a few hundered people, or told lobbyists and snakes in the grass 'no' for the third time that week, or found out that he was one of the only Congressman to vote 'no' on something that clearly violated the Constitution.

Would you follow the exact path he followed? And even if you had the exact same convictions and beliefs, would you not try something different?

His speech was good - Rand knows that you don't dump the entire baby food jar into the infants mouth if you want it to eat, you feed it spoonful by spoonful.

"The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle."

And then imagine delivering

And then imagine delivering your speach knowing your father and mother didnt stay in the state to watch it.

And then imagine that just as

And then imagine that just as Rand's father reaches the pinnacle of his success, Rand stabs him in the back in order to support the people who're lying and cheating in order to stop Rand's father from achieving his lifetime goal.

Rand Paul is a disloyal bastard.

We might agree on the issues but that does not mean he has integrity. If you put party above your own father AND HIS PRINCIPLES. What good is Rand Paul? Rand is a somewhat good politician without a soul, without a heart. I am disgusted by it because in some ways it's the opposite of everything his father stands for.

Most DailyPaulers make better sons and daughters to Ron Paul than Rand Paul does.

I never said

he had integrity. And it isn't surprising to me that he is working within the system or playing ball - I don't love it but I'm not going to abandon the guy either. That was the point of my post - he's trying something different. Maybe it will work and maybe it won't, maybe he is sincere and maybe he played us like a fiddle but only time will tell.

As long as he says the right things (he does most of the time) and votes the right way (most of the time) I will proudly support him and I can forgive him for the few things he screws up - none of us are perfect, not even Ron Paul (though what his faults are I couldn't tell you).

One last thought - which voting is base is larger and more crucial to staying in a position to make changes: the GOP/Conservative/Republican base or us informed/liberty/Ron Paul types? I'm outnumbered in my family 6 to 1.

"The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle."

The Thing Is, He Did Not Have To Do This

Why does Rand think he needs to dishonor his father to grow his career? WHO in the GOP would NOT understand him supporting his father? They always talk about FAMILY VALUES!

I firmly believe that Rand could have supported his father through this entire process, AND with his somewhat different positions, remained very popular within the "mainstream" GOP. I also think the GOP could have let the Ron Paul people have their votes and Romney still would have won. This entire process and situation has been unnecessarily juvenile and petty against Ron Paul. A man of such integrity and honesty that it astounds me.

From now on, Rand should never be able to give a speech about FAMILY VALUES ever again. If he does, my fat ass will rip the microphone away from him and fart into it. I don't wanna hear some disloyal bastard like that preach to the American public about family values because he has none!

I agree.

Rand's speech was not bad

He's trying to make the devils bargain. Who knows, 2016 might work out for him. I'm not a huge fan, but its better than alot of other republicans.
