It just brings us back...

It just brings us back to the concept of voting for the lessor of two evils. I only want to vote for the best man and no other and RP is that man.

RickStone

The RNC is simply gross

It's all an entertainment show to attempt to make the delegates feel good about being forced to vote for someone rotten.

It was OK to say Romney in

It was OK to say Romney in his speech but not his father's name. I am sure the RNC had to approve Rand Paul's speech. Wow, that must have been difficult. How do you live with that? I believe there will be regrets.

Yeah. I'm sure he had the

Yeah. I'm sure he had the same conditions as his father was offered.
1) Vetted remarks
2) Full endorsement of Romney

It's sick, but he spoke to the mainstream of the GOP, and it just might help him out in 4 or 8 years.

I'd rather surf the web

I'd rather surf the web watching porn than listen to that sombitch.

Thnx truthpursuer

Hm, does that make it something like making your own birthday present that someone presents to you?

Screw you Rand...

you'll never get my vote, even for dogcatcher. He is officially a neocon shill.

I don't play, I commission the league.

Stop the overreacting, it

Stop the overreacting, it makes people seem small and unstable.

Before we throw Rand under

Before we throw Rand under the bus...let's not forget he was one of about 7 Senators who voted against NDAA. He is actively campaigning to end the TSA. He's against the wars....

etc, etc.

He's one of the good guys.

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

Indeed

...there are words, and there are deeds.

I don't care what Rand says to gather votes among the zombies, provided that what he does advances the cause of liberty.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Really?

Seriously??

C'mon, look at his voting record. What about the speech was unconstitutional?

OMG

Back to Americas got talent.

Mark Twain

Bunch of republicans

saying Ron Paul is a man of integrity and conviction, but we're going to nominate somebody without those qualities instead. What a fake lip service video.

Sums up the GOP Perfectly

"All these words are just ideals long forgotten"

OMG yes! That's the GOP!

That was as disappointing as

That was as disappointing as I expected. He obviously made a point to not even name his father, assuming this was forced by the Romney campaign. Yes he brought some good points to the stage, but at what cost?

Don't you think Rand really wants Romney to lose??

If he does (which he will) then there will be no incumbent in 2016. This is a chance for Rand or someone else to possibly run.

I think that's the plan...

.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Rand Paul

What a POS!

I hope Janet Renos there too !

Maybe Elias Gonzalez.

Mark Twain

Mc Cain !

Can't get this party started with out him. All together bomb, bomb Iran.

Too Be Fair Though

Rand has that same disgusted look almost every time I've heard him talk.

pretty good speech... seems

pretty good speech... seems like he made a good introduction of himself to Republicans.... if only he didn't have to end with saying Mitt Romney was the guy who could do all he described... maybe Ron Paul or Rand Paul would be more capable...

Come 2016, if he walks his talk, he may have my vote... even if his father deserved it more.

Rand's speech was good until

Rand's speech was good until the end when he lied and said that the only man that will lead us out is Romney....

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Sorry Rand, but I am not

Sorry Rand, but I am not voting Romney. Romney and the RNC showed their true colors with all their corruption of stealing delegates and changing the rules. I can't believe anything that comes out of Romney's mouth.

Well Rand and others ARE the future.

Barring an unforseen miracle Ron Paul was never going to win and Ron and Rand and everyone else new that. The difference was that we would have had closer to 300 delegates and maybe even more votes AND he would have been able to give a speech. Even if we got 600 votes for Ron Paul, which is 3 TIMES what he got yesterday, Romney would still have won by a landslide. Did you not see all those frothy mangy old neocons dancing and chanting USA!!

And if Ron Paul was nominated and able to speak do you actually think that the humble non-aggressive Ron Paul would've outright asked for the nomination? Of course not, he would deliver his normal speech on the issues. The funny thing is that even though he espouse libertarian philosophy (which liberals consider fanciful) Ron Paul is very realistic and pragmatic.

Like it or not I have come to the realization that he never expected to win. He probably didn't even expect to be "allowed" on the convention floor. He has made this clear: he won't run third party, and he's not going to leave the Republican party. Hell, the republicans were begging him to leave and every newscaster and pundit was asking if he'd run 3rd party.

Rand and the delegates and all the other liberty candidates is what Ron Paul was running for. Rand is young and can make inroads with the establishment. You call it "selling out" or being unprincipled. Why don't we just judge him on his voting record?

I believe you are

mistaken. I only heard RP say he had no plans to run third party. I don't believe even when pinned down by the newcasters he ever said he would not. Small point, but who knows. I think he only speaks in absolutes when he is talking sound money, freedom, liberty, and the Constitution.

I will

Judge the man based on ALL his actions thank you very much. To me, Rand is the ultimate co-opt tool. I suggest we forget about him.

He's not giving this speech to Ron Paul supporters

He's giving it to a room chock full of raging neocon psycopaths and homophobes who want to bomb Iran.

That was funny.
