Agreed. That's why he

Agreed. That's why he should've dropped the script and given the speech his father would've given.

Thank you Ron Paul

Great video tribute, though a mere taste of what he stands for. I'm glad his years of service and steadfastness were acknowledged, in spite of the injustice at RNC. Providence will vindicate you, Dr. Paul. You are a true American hero. My generation is profoundly indebted to you. May our actions ensure that you will never be forgotten.

Rand Paul

In a 17+ minute speech, one sentence about Mitt Romney. Damning with faint praise, executed flawlessly.

Malo Periculosam Libertatem Quam Quietum Servitium
On y soit qui mal y pense

Is there any video of crowd reaction during the Video Tribute?

I would love to see some shots of Romney delegates realizing they've been had, and that the media has been lying to them for five long years.

Someone thinks we don't care.

Rand is the most boring speaker ever

I couldn't even make it through his speech. Nothing but Obama bashing. What an establishment hack.

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

Yeah

Not the warmest of public speakers.

Except for the unfortunatel reference to

Romney, I thought Rand's speech was pretty good. I like his use of true story telling. I think that's an excellent approach for the general public. It was much better, less stiff than most of his speeches I've seen. And the crowd seemed to respond positively; of course by comparison his was the most principled, on-target speech of the entire RNC. Plus people knew he wasn't just uttering platitudes like the others.

And yes, he does have to grow a lot to ever be in any way half the man his father is.

Yeah i have to agree

Yeah i have to agree

"you're a funny dude, but who gives a fuck about that? I don't care about someone's wit, I care about the courage of their heart and the honesty of their mind."

Hey Rand, you have my name on

Hey Rand, you have my name on your list. I'll have a check for you in 2016. But this year, F UCK Mitt Romney.

I think

in a way the tribute video is sort of like finally telling the Rmoney-ites that they were had. More than likely, in their arrogance, they thought they were being more than generous. I don't know, really. I feel more jaded than anything, and I really don't think anything will come of trying to change the GOP. They'll just use it to take more power from the people. I don't know what I will do beyond trying to tell people as opportunity presents itself about liberty, but I'm done with the GOP. And I think RP had the more noble and smarter delegations which will forever be very meaningful to me.

That does it...

I'm abstaining from voting entirely. That way they can't rig what would otherwise be my write in vote for Ron Paul.

these we spurn for men of brass....

The course our city runs is the same towards men and money.
She has true and worthy sons.
She has fine new gold and ancient silver,
Coins untouched with alloys, gold or silver,
Each well minted, tested each and ringing clear.
Yet we never use them!
Others pass from hand to hand,
Sorry brass just struck last week and branded with a wretched brand.
So with men we know for upright, blameless lives and noble names.
These we spurn for men of brass...
- Aristophanes, 405 BC

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

Love it!

especially the last two lines: "So with men we know for upright, blameless lives and noble names./These we spurn for men of brass..."

What is evil is thought to be good, and what is good is thought to be evil, these are the days that mark the end.

I spent 100s of volunteer hours since 08' working with local

groups, online promotion, enlightening others, video editing and just generally spending most of my "free" time talking about Ron Paul and why we should support him.

I even managed to get elected as a PCP only to find my Delegate selections at the Convention were stripped and/or specially appointed.

The RNC has a way to bend their own rules with no remorse.

As far as I am concerned, Rand, Romney, Priebus, and most of the State and National level RNCs are involved in these crimes.

When did Rand stand up and point out all the fraud that was going on? When did he come out and say "this is wrong!"?

Well I did, and I did it in front of all my local PCPs, Chair and Vice Chair and upset a lot of people. But also enlightened a lot of people too.

I won't be an accessory to these crimes.

Rand is part of the problem. Not a part of the solution.

Bravo

Don't give up we have them on the run!

I don't know genius maybe

I don't know genius maybe because if he pointed them out we are dead in the water. Ever occur to you Rand is playing a bullshit game of chess with a machine that neither you or I can fully conceptualize?

Some people, in an attempt to

Some people, in an attempt to manifest something positive they'd like to see in their future, examine every single possibility and, rather than admit what their eyes see, sieze upon the imaginary and the invisible. It's possible you're right. If you're not it could be the cause of a lot of grief. Why not take the middle of the road and see what happens. Sometimes it's less painful than standing to the left or right in front of the oncoming cars.

I'm sorry this ain't no "Trojan Horse" type operation if that's

what you are getting at.

There is nothing Rand can do now to get his dad elected as President, but at least he could have endorsed him and stood with those who played by the rules.

Either way this is being played, I look at the route that was taken as a drainage of air from all tens of thousands of volunteer hours put in since 2008.

Rand had his chance to be a real Patriot. Rand had his chance to point out publicly what was wrong, and help fight for all the lost and stolen delegates along the way.

Again, I respect Rand as a human being and I wish no ill will toward him, but as an individual I can trust. Sorry that's long gone.

You see it's the people that have a voice that can really make a difference. Rand could have been one of those people.

He will be silenced in the coming years. I'm calling this out now.

Ron TOLD HIM to endorse

Ron TOLD HIM to endorse Romeny in my opinion and he got approval from the campaign to do so at the very least. He said that himself in an interview (second part).

"The Campaign"? Do you mean Jesse Benton?

I didn't know he needed approval to endorse.

Yes I am sure Rand hates his

Yes I am sure Rand hates his Dad and is secretly plotting how to bomb African countries, along with Canada and Mexico, as we speak.

Freedom doesn't always win. It takes courage and honesty.

FreedomLoses.

Please go back to The Blaze.

My Ron Paul Tribute

President Paul, the true will of the people for president, didn't stay for the GOP's tribute video. Here are some I hope he enjoys instead. With Love and Endless Respect...

The next one is more special. I am not gifted in the video arts. I spent 40 hours without sleep putting this together. Dr. Paul you will always be my president.

The words I wrote march 19th are true to today, neither romney or santurum or gingricha can win without pauls people

Thanks,

I needed that.

what about the WARS???

My biggest concern and the main reason i am a RP supporter, which ties into many of the other reasons..... is his foriegn policy... he stance against NEEDLESS and ENDLESS WARS!! NOT ONCE did his "tribute video" remind the RNC about his VERY STRONG stance on foriegn policy. A HUGE Reason we are IN THIS MUCH DEBT is our RIDICULOUSLY Astronomical "Defense" spending. What a SHAME.... ROMNEY Would NEVER get my vote. Neither will Obama.

This. Me too. The foreign

This. Me too. The foreign policy issues are what prevent me from voting for the Ryan/Romney ticket. I would vote for the RR ticket if the election were only based on domestic issues.

SteveMT's picture

The word "war" has not been mentioned yet.

Neither have the phrases "undeclared wars" nor "bring the troops home." I do not think we will hear them in Tampa.

You are right about that.

Rand Paul

Just another sold out prostitute puppet, even betrayed his own father for a position at the pig trouth of self enrightcment, government.

sovereign

Harsh and uninformed

Would you sell out your own father for anything?
Do you think Rand would do that?

Did you ever think that maybe the Paul family knows what it is doing?
Do you really know anything or are you just upset?

Give them some credit they are not dumb and unprincipled.
