Illinois Write-in Campaign For Dr. Paul/need Signatures Turned Into Your County Clerk's Office By September 6th!

I just spoke with my county clerk's office and was told that we CAN have Dr Paul as a write-in candidate (if he is not on the ballot)if we gather 100 signatures from each county, and have them turned into our county clerk's office no later than September 6, 2012.

I need help quickly! I live in Will County Illinois and will get those signatures as quickly as possible. It will not take me long.

I beg of you to make the final push to have our votes counted for Dr Paul, should he not be on the ballot in November.

Do your part in your county to get those signatures and get them fast!

For Liberty,

Here are the 2008 Requirements for Illinois

Probably the same today, but clarify with SOS

From the above link:

To qualify as a write-in candidate in the entire state of Illinois, the candidate has to submit a "Declaration of Intent to be a Write-in Candidate" form to every jurisdiction (i.e. County) in the state and with each of the 8 Board of Elections Commissioners. There are 102 Counties in Illinois, so the candidate needs to file 110 forms total. Each one has to be signed and notarized individually. The Declaration of Intent form is available from the Illinois State Board of Elections. Call (312) 814-6440.

The candidate can also submit the Declaration of Intent forms only to those counties in which he/she wants to run. Here are the 10 most populous counties in Illinois, plus Chicago’s own board of elections:

The Ron Paul Write-In Campaign Is Underway!

Gary Johnson has a better chance

At this time a Ron Paul write in is futile and won't accomplish a thing except as a protest vote. I was going to do that as a protest but decided to vote for Gary Johnson instead. I think that the stars may be aligned this time to welcome a third party for the rest of the country to vote for in protest.

It only takes one to KEEP AMERICANS FREE. Know your duties & rights as a juror. Stop the unconstitutional conviction of innocents in federal custody. The Fully Informed Jury CALL 1-800-TEL-JURY www.fija.org IMMEDIATELY if not sooner. It's that important.

Make Pens that say "Write-In Ron Paul"

as campaign materials.

Write-ins sabotage the

Write-ins sabotage the potential for better results as outlined in this strategy for a libertarian nominated by the GOP in 2016 and how we get it... with the bonus of good things that could happen here in 2012.

Ignoring viable strategy for something better is sabotaging potential... and in turn hurting the libertarian movement. Your vote... your choice... if that's what you want to do with it.

Write-ins are the equivalent of libertarians not voting for the same delegates at the conventions... completely throwing away the delegate strategy.

I'm convinced that this is a strategy that Paul himself would endorse...

Critical Thinking > Emotional Thinking > Pseudo-Intellectuals that Saturate DP
Utilitarianism > Consequentialism > Deontology > Egocentrism
Making people feel "troll'd" with the truth > being an intentional troll > acting like one naturally

Gary Johnson is on the Ballot

Gary Johnson is on the Ballot in all 50 states.

its time for the viral grassroots internet campaign that will make history.

Does Anyone Know What States will Allow Dr Paul as a write in?

If so please list them and your source. TY

Galatians 5:1
It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Ron Paul Write-ins Accepted in California

Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota do not allow write-ins at all (total of 45 electoral votes).

Many other states require forms of intent to be filed by a certain deadline, a deadline which has passed in many states, including Florida (29), North Carolina (15) and Texas (38). There is still time in New York (29), Pennsylvania (20), Ohio (18) and Virginia (13) and other states.

Many of these deadlines give only the month of September with no specific date of the month. Who knows how the election officials will consider paper work received on 30 September, when the rules simply stated that September was the deadline. Illinois is by far the most difficult, because you have to collect 100 signatures in each of the 110 city and county jurisdictions plus 8 election commissioners, all by 6 September. A pretty tall order to accomplish in a week. But if it can be done it will be terrific, because Illinois has 20 electoral votes, 5th highest among all the states.

It has been done in California (55 electoral votes)!!! Ron Paul write-ins will be accepted and counted (ethical election polling allowing) in California. Yeah for California!!! We can take California away from Obama. Do you suppose that will shake up the establishment? It would certainly destroy any wide lead in the electoral polls that Obama currently has. It's a major consideration for those "lesser of two evils" voters. Romney has no chance of winning California, but Ron Paul does with a write-in campaign. So Obama loses California. Note to Mitt - You're welcome. But then, Ron Paul could conceiveably get the forms done in enough states with enough electoral votes to win.

None of them. A few will

None of them. A few will pretend to, but NO state actually allows write-in candidates. They also don't allow liberty candidates as we just found out in this process. Your write-in for Ron Paul WILL NOT BE COUNTED, PERIOD. Any tally you see of Ron Paul's write-in votes is COMPLETELY FABRICATED, just like ALL of the other election "vote total" figures that "they" give us.

Go Illinois!

Go Illinois!

Blessings )o(

well thats great and all

but write-in's doesn't count where I live. =(

This website needs work

Trying to edit my posts and website keeps shitting out. Anyways, The candidate must swear to and sign the Statement of Candidacy
and the statement must be notarized.
So does anyone know if RP is going to do this? He needs to get his legal team in gear.

Official rules on a write in candidate

I'm still unsure if Ron Paul has to do this or we can do it for him.

I called

and she said that we need 200 signatures per county. For Will Cty, they have to be in by Sept. 6th

Regardless if his lawyers

filled out the required paperwork, we need to have our signatures turned in. Cover all ground.

Bump! Thanks for researching

Bump! Thanks for researching this! :)

Anybody out there know if this can still be done for Colorado? I have been at the SOS's website but cannot find the information.
I am willing to get the signatures for counties in my area (Boulder Co.)

Please call

your county clerk's office and ask what procedures are necessary to write-in your candidate, and if there are signatures required for each county (if so, how many), and what date they need to be turned in by.

^ That should be the number you need to call.

Good luck!
