Rick Santorum to Paul supporters: a vote against Romney is a vote for Obama

Speaking with reporters at a Citizens United event in Tampa on Wednesday, Santorum told The Huffington Post he is not concerned about how the mayhem created by Paul delegates at the convention might impact Romney's chances in defeating Obama come November.
"Ron Paul was a Republican congressman -- even though Ron would tell you he's a libertarian at heart -- and the Republican Party is closer to where [Paul's delegates] want to take this country than certainly Barack Obama," Santorum, a former Republican presidential candidate, said.
"And they can vote for somebody else," he continued. "But if they do -- a vote for somebody else is, in my opinion, a vote for Barack Obama."

But if Mitt wins then the RP movement had no effect. The GOP had nothing to fear and never changes its ways. If Obama wins they can blame the RP people and We will have a voice next time with the GOP, or they loss again. The only way to change it to take credit for a defeat.

OK Santorum, How’s this for disconnect. If Ron Paul is not on the ballet I will make sure my vote counts against the Republican Neo-Conners Party and vote for Obama. That’s because you and I know Obama will win if the Paul supporters vote for someone else. I’ll make sure the GOP loses and will not be voting for the unified Republican Neo-con party. Santorum played his role perfectly
Staying in the race long enough to keep the attention off of Ron Paul, but choosing to drop out when he was actually winning to avoid a brokered convention.
Now he does not seem to comprehend that more than two people can run for President. Santorum only recognizes the two statists in the race as worthy of a vote.
Maybe the RNC will reward Santorum's loyalty with the nomination in 2016 after Romney loses so he can present himself as the lesser of two evils against Hillary.

At this point in history, the greatest political power we have
is to withhold support from the neocon Republicans.
We are not powerful enough yet to overwhelm them in the primaries. The only way I see to get them to make real concessions to liberty is to show them that they need us and must move in our direction.
There is little difference between Obama and Romney, so we are screwed whichever of them occupies the White House. So this is the perfect opportunity to not vote for the lesser of two evils and vote third party. Sitting it out is not as powerful a message as voting but not for Republicans or Democrats.
Liberty isn't given to us; it is taken by us, and if not, we will not have it.

Santorum is right in that Ron Paul's a Republican. And if you asked him, he probably would say he was a libertarian at heart, but also a conservative. Where Santorum's wrong is when he says Romney is a Republican, because Romney isn't, he's a flip-flopping, pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-Obamacare former liberal who criticized Reagan for being too conservative!
As Santorum himself said, "Romney is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama."
