I'm voting for Gary Johnson. Here's Why I am. And Why I Think You Should.

1. Ron Paul is no longer a candidate. I wish he still was but he is not.

2. To not vote is what about 40% of Americans do anyway, so that is not sending a message. Sorry Lew Rockwell

3. Voting for Romney is voting for the lesser of the two evils which is what the whole darn system is set up for.

4. Writing Ron Paul's name in won't show up in the results. Let's vote Libertarian and spike the numbers up at least some. Demonstrate that people are waking up and becoming involved.

5. Writing in Ron Paul's name when he is not a candidate looks like the movement was about Ron Paul, and not the cause of liberty. Sorry TMOT.

6. Voting for Romney is a vote for the status quo and rewarding the RNC.

7. Voting for and promoting Gary Johnson allows us to keep ourselves focused on the liberty message: Sound Money, Non-Interventionism, Personal Liberty, etc

8. Voting for Gary Johnson allows us to continue to tell our story to others. We can tell people why we supported Ron Paul and why now we support Gary Johnson.

9. We can still work within the Republican party to change it for the future, however because of their recent actions and their candidate, we will not vote for the Republican in the 2012 Presidential race.

10. Ron Paul was our first choice but we must carry on.

All three of them

are the same and answer to the same puppeteers

3rd party is the only way to go now

I'm voting Gary Johnson this election, sick of the double headed dragon in Washington.

triple headed now

and your falling for the third of them

Jill Stein or Roseanne Barr

Will accept your vote if you can't stand GJ.

At this point

I'd vote for Spongebob Squarepants before I'd vote for Obama or Romney. I'm kinda neutral on Johnson, but I'll probably give him my vote and hope that those stupid voting machines don't flip it to someone else. If it weren't for the local and state elections, I'd just sit this one out.

To those who will vote Romney and compromise all that we have

worked for.Don't you know he IS Obama? Just compare their records and statements. Forget the rhetoric and labels.

Strangely

I'm more comfortable with 4 more years of Obama than the possibility of 8 with Romney. I knew he was a cheater, but yesterday's events at the RNC just proved to me that he will do ANYTHING for absolute power and control.

Also, kristi6904, you neglect a couple of very important points in Marat's favor.

Nothing energizes a Republican Congress like a Democrat in the White House.

If you reward something you get more of it, so to vote for Slick Willard is to tell the GOP that you like their larcenous "nomination" process.

“We have allowed our nation to be over taxed and over regulated and overrun by bureaucrats, the founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with.” Ron Paul

I don't want Obama to Win period

So I'll be voting for Romney. Obama is dangerous and will follow through on his destructive agenda, he cannot win period. The more votes Romney gets the better. This is our choice, 2 candidates competing, one of them will win. This is the REALITY of it period.

More than anything i want a

More than anything i want a libertarianish presence in the debates. I kinda wish we could just hire an actor and give him our talking points.. lol His only job would be to piss everyone off.

"What will you do about Syria/Iran".

"Not invade them, not police them and mind our own business. To work on avoiding our own pending civil war and bankruptcy".

You really don't want GJ to be representing libertarianism on tv

that buffoon would set the LP back 30 years or do you plan on training him to read a teleprompter? Doubt he could learn that before election day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTch7InkZjo&feature=youtu.be

Loved this!

Thanks for the laugh! LOL

Here is why I am not....

1. He supports a "humanitarian" war in Uganda.
2. He would keep most bases in the Middle East.
3. He said he may act in some way on Iran.
4. He proposes a 23% national sales tax, which is really 30% and would only be raised from there.
5. He would force every small business to become a federal tax collector for that tax.
6. He would make every citizen a welfare recipient with the so called pre-bate
7. He is clueless when it comes to economics and does not really understand the Fed or sound money.
8. He wants a federal mandate that every state accept his definition of marriage, including gay marriage.
9. He is pro-abortion.
10. He flip flops more often than a cook at the waffle house.
11. My state allows write in votes.
12. RON PAUL IS MY PRESIDENT.

Ron Paul 2012 - It's Almost Here!

Valid criticism. But, he's the only sincere

One we have.

Virgil Goode

He is not Doctor Paul but he beats the other three. He is not a globalist and believes the constitution is the law.

Not saying I will vote for him but he has it before Romney , Obama or Johnson

*Sigh*

1, 2, and 3. Really? He wants a an immediate 43% cut in military spending and you're quibbling over stuff he "might" do?

4, 5, and 6 are just silly. Are you trying to protect your IRS job? Even Ron Paul doesn't favor tax abolition until the debt is paid down. Johnson supports cutting spending drastically and balancing the budget immediately. The Fair Tax is nothing but one small step in the right direction of simplification of Tax law.

7 Ok, so he's the clueless guy that vetoed 700+ spending bills as governor of a Democratic state. Sounds like he understands economics plenty good enough to be President.

8 Yes, forget about our sovereignty and pending economic collapse, let's divide our movement over a dictionary definition!

9 Nobody's "pro-abortion". And he thinks Roe vs. Wade was an unconstitutional ruling.

10 Waffles are delicious, especially with syrup and butter. Mmmmmm. So you're saying he changes his position with the political winds? Did he push marajuana decriminalization as governor because it was just so convenient?

11, 12 Ok, understandable. You want to do what feels good rather than what will get the movement the most traction. That's at least a defensible position.

This is a good list and I

This is a good list and I agree with most, but I really cant stand the term "pro-abortion.". That is dishonest.

GJ Is Way Better Than Rombama

But I do have major concerns about GJ's lack of understanding of economics. That was *extremely* disappointing. Despite that, he still does have (to my knowledge) an excellent record on being a fiscal conservative. Plus he did say he'd balance the budget in his first year (which is even more aggressive than Dr. Paul's 3 year plan).

As for him being "pro-abortion", I want to remind everyone that a vote for Rombama is a vote for more war and thus more deaths (of both Americans and foreigners - who are often not mentioned, by the way). So if you care about life, then you weigh a pro-choice/anti-war candidate (which I believe GJ is) against a pro-life/pro-war candidate. I think GJ's positions will save FAR more lives in the 4 years. It's not even close. The pro-choice people SHOULD NOT ignore or be "willfully ignorant" of this fact.

the only difference

between the triplets GJ Obamney and Robama is what they use as empty rhetoric

You had me until number 9

$%#@ the republic party...at least in it's current state.

I'm not attacking you, but

I'm not attacking you, but rather playing Devil's Advocate, the Establishment may look at the 'surge' in Johnson as just another sign that we just 'fall in line'(not with Romney, but another 'figure'). Personally, I don't believe that, but I'm all too familiar with the fallacies that establishment types present.

Personally, I don't think any voting option will change anything. This isn't 'pessimistic', it's simply the realization that there are so many 'fail-safes' for the Federal Government that have been set up over the past 100 years(especially the past 40). The final 'vote tally' can be completely fabricated, even if at the state level there's noticeable fraud, and no one but those who aren't asleep would be the wiser.

As I've said before, I'm personally not sure what I'm going to do, going to have to do some 'soul searching', but I will defend those of you that wish to vote for Johnson, or even those that want to write in. I am only allied with the 'liberty movement', no single person.

Next week, South Carolina!

Governor Gary Johnson for President is going to be in South Carolina next Wednesday, September 5th at 7:00PM.
He will be in Charlotte that day and he wanted to visit Winthrop University in Rock Hill. More details about exactly where will come tomorrow!
If you want to help with the campaign please contact:

Should I be concerned that

Should I be concerned that his campaign has about 290k debt and only 14k in cash? He talks about fiscal responsibility but spends more than he takes in.......

most new start-up businesses

expect to lose money the first few years. They commonly borrow money as long as they have a plan to make it up. And if they have a good plan lenders will give it to them. Gary Johnson has proved himself a good businessman so I am not concerned about that. In the political arena that isn't much. If it were millions like some of the other Republican Candidates were I'd be more concerned.

You can help by giving a small donation!

Hubby & I sent $50 to

Hubby & I sent $50 to Johnson's campaign today...

I'm sure others must be donating as well.

No, A good money bomb could clean that up in a hurry.

I think that Dr.Paul would have ran 3rd party if he had any idea that the GOP would change the rules at the last minute and cheat so much. I will also not be surprised if something comes up here with him and third party as he has always said he did not know but does not see that happening at the time. Well, now the time has come and the fact that he left Tuesday from the convention, maybe he is as upset as we are.(I wish Rand was not in politics at this time) I think that in a lot of states you will not be able to write in anything on the ballot. We really have no choice at this time but to keep trying to take over the GOP and only vote for someone close to what we know is true. Lets see if Gary gets into the upcoming debates and how he does. We surely do not want 4 years or more of Romney. I became a delegate to return to conservatism, not to elect guys like him!

Well, a couple of hours ago I

Well, a couple of hours ago I went to my local convenience store. The cashier is/was a Ron Paul supporter. We chatted a bit about all the bullchit the gop and rnc have handed out. She had decided not to vote. So then I brought up Gary Johnson. She had no idea who he is, so I enlightened her. So one more vote for Gary!
