Romney Must Lose (please read)

Romney must lose.

This coming from a person who might benefit if Romney wins.

You see, I'm an ex-pat who wants the US government to reverse FATCA
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_Account_Tax_Compliance_Act). This act is an invasion of every citizen's privacy, it's unconstitutional, and clearly a sign of an out-of-control government. If it isn't bad enough that we are all taxed on our overseas income, now the government wants to make it impossible for us to do banking while living overseas.

Because of who Romney is and his background, a Romney presidency could limit and maybe even reverse this Act--in other words greatly benefit my life overseas. Obviously an Obama presidency could be worse for people like me, but I'm willing to risk it all for the bigger picture... I'm willing to risk my own personal benefit to make sure the GOP gets taken down in 2012!

The only way to continue what we have started is to make sure Romney loses in November. We have to make the establishment GOP pay for their corruption, and we have to bide more time for Liberty minded individuals to take over the GOP platform.

I know some of you have serious issues with Rand Paul, but until we can get another one like Rand in the fray, we have to stand behind this man as long as it takes. The only way to do that is to make sure Romney loses in 2012.

Romney must lose. He needs to lose for us to win and it doesn't get anymore blk/wht than that.

Stand with me, place your own personal needs, wants and opinions on the back-burner, and make sure Romney loses in 2012.

There's no other way....

You're an exception. Most of us are activists because

we have our personal needs, wants, and opinions (liberty, a country that doesn't go bankrupt, peace...) on the FRONT BURNER.

I want Romney to lose because I don't want a president/vice president who doesn't stand for the traditional American principles I do.

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.

United States Program for General and Complete Disarmament

0bama victory = full implementation of "Freedom From War: The United States Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World".

R0mney victory = attack on Iran and/or Syria, resulting in Russia and/or China jumping in against us.

Martial law and forced gun confiscations here at home resulting in civil unrest at best, civil war at worst, or WW3? Tough call. We aren't getting another shot using the election system. Add electoral corruption as one of the list of grievances in the next declaration.

Rand is right to worry that our nation may not survive another 0bama term. So instead of the neocons attempting to work with us, they instead cheated us needlessly, thereby creating a culture of revenge on Romney.

I believe the neocons want 0bama to win so the above Department of State publication 7277, printed Sept. 1961, could be carried out, and the GOP brand would not get the blame. Some contrived event will occur, blaming the Tea Party as terrorists, and then it's on. That's gonna suck. Lose Lose for everyone.

Vote your conscience, vote for revenge on Romney and the RNC to "teach them a lesson", or vote against martial law and forced gun confiscations? I'm voting for my conscience, wether it counts or not, so I can say I did not vote for martial law or WW3.

It is a Dilemna

A sure sign of the devil's involvement is that all of our choices are bad.

As that famous philosopher, Rush Limbaugh, said.

By the time that Obama finishes with us, we will all be begging for Hillary.

Since you qouted the rotted Rush Limbaugh, so will I...

Limbaugh: "Any of these candidates - except John Huntsman and Ron Paul - would make a better president than Obama."

I HEARD IT WITH MY OWN EARS after one of the republican debates earlier this year.

So THIS is how the champion of the "conservatives" talks???

Rush Limbaugh LITERELLY SAID that Obama is a better president than would be Ron Paul.

And basically so did every other right wing host such as Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, John Gibson, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck etc.

This is another reason I will NEVER vote for a party hack and banker stooge like Romney who gets support from people like this.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I couldn't agree more...

Worst thing in the world for this movement is for Romney to win the Presidency. The way i see it , if its bad for the movement its bad for the whole country because THIS MOVEMENT is the only thing working to bring America back to where it should be. The Republicans aren't doing it, The DemocRats aren't doing it, the "Compromisers" aren't doing it... WE are doing it and the best thing for this movement is to stand your ground and send Ramrod packing in November.
If this happens the sky is the limit in 2016!
If Romney is elected, kiss it ALL bye bye....

Yes But

Obama must also lose.

Obama has gotten away with blatently ignoring the Constitution more than any other President. As a lame duck, he would be a tyrannical dictator.

Look, an Obama victory would

Look, an Obama victory would piss a lot of Conservatives off. They would finally get fired up and start looking for answers. Moreover, it would give us Liberty folks a chance to make a huge mark insider the GOP platform.

Besides, Ron Paul wants us to take over the Republican party! This is the only way.

P.S. - People said the same exact thing about Bush. We could only hope for Obama to try something tyrannical because then we would finally get a real revolution!!!!

Take a Closer Look At History

We already had that revolt.

It was called the Civil War.

This time, it won't be as easy on us.

Carter, Clinton, and Bush never had Obama's hatred of free America or Obama's ability to ignore the Constitution.

If Obama gets control of the nukes as a lame duck, he would lead a revolt much worse than the Civil War and there would be nothing good about it for the cause of freedom.

Agreed. But at the same time

Agreed. But at the same time we must elect a liberty-leaning congress to keep Obama in check. The work is just beginning.

obama troll alert

People, don't cut your nose off to spite your face. THINK! GJ supporters are obama trolls.

4 more years of nobama and we are toast. We won't get another election.
If we get rid of obama we win. Rmoney stinks but hey....anything is better than the maggot we have now. Just think, we'll have a firewall against obama.

Keepin' it real.

You have been smoking

way to much RINO booty.....

teafortwo is a rino playing

teafortwo is a rino playing the old game of choose the least offensive. Four more years of Obama is exactly what the boomers and the Country deserves. Any fan of Atlas Shrugged understands that - will Ryan vote for Obama???

The only troll is you, pal!

The only troll is you, pal! You've been here 5 months and you are going to preach to me about the lesser of two evils??????????

The Left Right Paradigm is

The Left Right Paradigm is Over: Its You vs. Corporations

Every generation or so, a major secular shift takes place that shakes up the existing paradigm. It happens in industry, finance, literature, sports, manufacturing, technology, entertainment, travel, communication, etc.

I would like to discuss the paradigm shift that is occurring in politics.

For a long time, American politics has been defined by a Left/Right dynamic. It was Liberals versus Conservatives on a variety of issues. Pro-Life versus Pro-Choice, Tax Cuts vs. More Spending, Pro-War vs Peaceniks, Environmental Protections vs. Economic Growth, Pro-Union vs. Union-Free, Gay Marriage vs. Family Values, School Choice vs. Public Schools, Regulation vs. Free Markets.

The new dynamic, however, has moved past the old Left Right paradigm. We now live in an era defined by increasing Corporate influence and authority over the individual. These two “interest groups” – I can barely suppress snorting derisively over that phrase – have been on a headlong collision course for decades, which came to a head with the financial collapse and bailouts. Where there is massive concentrations of wealth and influence, there will be abuse of power. The Individual has been supplanted in the political process nearly entirely by corporate money, legislative influence, campaign contributions, even free speech rights.

This may not be a brilliant insight, but it is surely an overlooked one. It is now an Individual vs. Corporate debate – and the Humans are losing.

• Many of the regulations that govern energy and banking sector were written by Corporations;

• The biggest influence on legislative votes is often Corporate Lobbying;

• Corporate ability to extend copyright far beyond what original protections amounts to a taking of public works for private corporate usage;

• PAC and campaign finance by Corporations has supplanted individual donations to elections;

• The individuals’ right to seek redress in court has been under attack for decades, limiting their options.

• DRM and content protection undercuts the individual’s ability to use purchased content as they see fit;

• Patent protections are continually weakened. Deep pocketed corporations can usurp inventions almost at will;

• The Supreme Court has ruled that Corporations have Free Speech rights equivalent to people; (So much for original intent!)

None of these are Democrat/Republican conflicts, but rather, are corporate vs. individual issues.

For those of you who are stuck in the old Left/Right debate, you are missing the bigger picture. Consider this about the Bailouts: It was a right-winger who bailed out all of the big banks, Fannie Mae, and AIG in the first place; then his left winger successor continued to pour more money into the fire pit.

What difference did the Left/Right dynamic make? Almost none whatsoever.

How about government spending? The past two presidents are regarded as representative of the Left Right paradigm – yet they each spent excessively, sponsored unfunded tax cuts, plowed money into military adventures and ran enormous deficits. Does Left Right really make a difference when it comes to deficits and fiscal responsibility? (Apparently not).

What does it mean when we can no longer distinguish between the actions of the left and the right? If that dynamic no longer accurately distinguishes what occurs, why are so many of our policy debates framed in Left/Right terms?

In many ways, American society is increasingly less married to this dynamic: Party Affiliation continues to fall, approval of Congress is at record lows, and voter participation hovers at very low rates.

There is some pushback already taking place against the concentration of corporate power: Mainstream corporate media has been increasingly replaced with user created content – YouTube and Blogs are increasingly important to news consumers (especially younger users). Independent voters are an increasingly larger share of the US electorate. And I suspect that much of the pushback against the Elizabeth Warren’s concept of a Financial Consumer Protection Agency plays directly into this Corporate vs. Individual fight.

But the battle lines between the two groups have barely been drawn. I expect this fight will define American politics over the next decade.

Keynes vs Hayek? Friedman vs Krugman? Those are the wrong intellectual debates. Its you vs. Tony Hayward, BP CEO, You vs. Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sachs CEO. And you are losing . . .

Well, thanks for sharing and

Well, thanks for sharing and being honest.

I don't really buy, if at all, into any argument that any desired outcome, be it somehow or definitely positive, justifies the means.

Because, unless some miracle happens, we already know pretty much for sure what the outcome will be : VERY NEGATIVE; in essence :

be it with Romney or Obama, WE KNOW FOR SURE, that America is then continuing to go down the slope. Only the modalities will slightly differ between either option.

But it's not exactly FATE. I see it rather as a sadly unavoidable milestone ... before the next, hopefully the one of the country's LIBERATION. As fast as we can, but without HASTE that would force us to compromise and bargain our principles.

Ron Paul IS OUR LIFE-LONG example in Flesh and Bones to follow; and it's ALREADY BEYOND HIMSELF, as a person. The next Ron Paul, if any, is SOMEWHERE, yet to be found in THIS country. This is our duty to recognize that man or woman, when he/she STEPS FORWARD before us.

Ron Paul's Thank You letter was clear to me :

let's continue defend the ideas, values, and principles we believe in AND WE KNOW WE'LL NEVER COMPROMISE ABOUT (where we'd be failing to protect them).

Individual Freedoms restored. Ending the income taxation THEFT. Ending the Federal Reserve SCAM. Stop the INHUMANE, MATERIALISTIC, CYNICAL, UNDECLARED WARS with foreign countries, all wars that the American People **NEVER ENDORSED**. Only their corrupt representatives did.

You don't need to worry much about Romney not losing : he very likely will. And even if he doesn't, whoever benefits from it or not, will witness the same thing :

that the Revolution for America Restored that we're still building up has cleaned up the GOP for good, either from the inside or the outside. It doesn't really matter.

What really matters is Liberty and The Constitution be restored eventually, by and for the People, with an ending of all these corrupt political games.

Let's keep STANDING WITH RON PAUL. Some sees Johnson helpful for that matter, while I'm still very skeptical.

As for Romney and Obama : that's the same ugly thing we'll have to cope with anyway.

Sincerely, and God Bless America.

I respectfully disagree about

I respectfully disagree about the ends justifying the means. I am proof positive the ends justify the means--it has been my life story. I've taken so many risks and ultimately made choices that, at the time, seemed crazy, but it all worked out like I wanted it to in the end and I'm so much more happier for it.

We can take the Republican party back, but we have to deconstruct it first, and voting for Romney is not doing that, it's just justifying their means, not ours....

Cyril's picture

Okay. Then, I think you're

Okay. Then, I think you're nitpicking a bit or I missed something (which I sure might have).

Well, of course, voting for either Romney or Obama, IMO, DOES NOT HELP Ron Paul's cause in ANY WAY I CAN THINK OF.

Now ... some seem to imply in this thread and others that BY DEFEATING EITHER OF THESE DECEIVERS (OR POLITICAL PARTIES, ALLIES, OR BUDDIES) **FASTER** will help us, somehow indirectly.

I am very sorry : this just seems too far fetched political computations for my politically-LIMITED brain, precisely.

I prefer to think the other way, I have the weakness to believe is more positive : disregarding the Evil games ongoing, let's continue to BUILD UP OUR GOOD -- defend, support Ron Paul's with our ENERGY AND TIME.

"Alliance with None ..." remember ?

Politics with parties and so on is maybe fun ... I don't know, I don't feel like I enjoy it ... AT ALL.

I much prefer to speak out and support THOSE WHO BRING IDEAS FORWARD, AND SOUND PRINCIPLES. I really do not care about the persons, fame, etc.

I don't know if I make perfect sense, but I can't put it another way than it just seems so futile to me to go on and on speculating on the odds and pros and cons for voting or not voting for / against EITHER EVIL.

I prefer to continue FOCUS ON THE GOOD, even if the good is out of the voting process since yesterday.

Maybe I'm just naive. But I want to be as constant as Ron Paul has shown us we can be with OURSELVES AND WHAT WE REALLY BELIEVE IN. For our daily lives in the future.

ABSOLUTELY! We now have

ABSOLUTELY! We now have 10,000 political activists with nothing but time on their hands. We have to make the GOP FEAR US! We have to become the KING MAKERS! We need to start FaceBook pages, blogs, comment everywhere, whatever it takes! "Conservatives against Mitt", "Tea Partiers AGAINST Romney", "Republicans to defeat Romney", etc.

I have compiled some compelling reasons Conservative should NOT vote for Mitt, we need to cull through them, add to them and SPREAD THEM AROUND! We need to be a force to be reckoned with! These are some I've heard and some I've checked out, what do you think?

‎1. Romney is an aloof impersonal millionaire that connects only with other millionaires.
2. A vote for Romney is a vote for socialized health care as he WROTE the blueprint for ObamaCare!
3. A vote for Romney tells the RNC that you will su
pport any moderate, liberal, socialist candidate they put in front of you, which guarantees MORE of them!
4. Romney thumbed his nose at grassroots conservatives and Tea Party people at the convention with an unprecedented power grab, taking ALL the power to himself to change rules against the will of the voters, this is a very troubling signal.
5. Romney bought support, broke the rules, and outright cheated his way through the primary, another troubling signal of how he would govern!
6. Romney was one of the first governors to sign an assault weapons ban.
7. Romney swore to protect a woman's right to "choose".
8. Romney raised FEES on guns by 400% in MA.
9. Romney signed a law legalizing gay marriage in MA.
10. Romney did not run for reelection in MA because he would have lost having a record low approval rate of only 34%!
11. A Romney win means that the soonest we could have a real Conservative president again would be 2021!
12. Romney touts his "business" experience, but only "saved" the Olympics with a 125 million dollar government bailout from the DOEducation.
13. Romney touts his "business" experience, but when tasked to "fix" health care in MA, he turned to government, like a democrat, instead of to free market solutions, like a Republican.
14. As a "Republican" governor, he appointed ONLY 9 Republican Judges, and 27 NON-Republican judges! (14 DEMOCRAT and 13 no declared party). This record means he WILL appoint LIBERAL SC Justices!
15. Romney still refuses to release his 2009 tax return, this is the year the IRS held an amnesty for tax evading overseas accounts.
16. Romney refused to seat elected delegates from MA, LA, OK, CO, OR, because they preferred Ron Paul, in doing so he pissed off at least 10% of the Republican party SEALING HIS FATE !
17. Holding the Guinness Book of World Records in FLIP FLOPPING, Romney has held at least three positions on EVERY issue, and ANYTHING he says during the campaign is strictly to get your vote, he means NONE of it!
And this is just a FEW things! As a Christian, lifetime Republican and Tea Party member I will do all I can to defeat Romney, the future of the GOP and our country depend on it! Vote for the ONLY Conservative in this race, Gary Johnson!

CFR Ties > Won't end the Fed > No nothing about Austrian School of Economics. Beware of GJ BUT DYODD.;-))

A vote for Romney is a slap

A vote for Romney is a slap in the face to Ron Paul and every single RP supporter. Obama didn't kick dirt on Ron Paul, Romney did!!!

Obama might be a whore, but Romney is a devil!

irrational kantian logic. ends justifies the means bullshit. you have learned nothing from liberty.

And you have learned nothing

And you have learned nothing from 100 years of Corporatism. You're a complete fool if you vote Romney... A COMPLETE AND UTTER FOOL!

who is voting for obomney?

oh wait.

you are.

No, I'm not voting for Obama,

No, I'm not voting for Obama, but a vote for Gary Johnson will mean an Obama win--unless Nader jumps in to help Romney. In that case I would vote for Obama.

We must destroy something and begin again. An Obama win would seriously divide the GOP into two!

google ends justifies the means

That saying is only relevant

That saying is only relevant when the "Means" is immoral! Voting is not immoral, or unethical! It's just voting, everyone has a right to vote however they want! I want to see our totals in a column without Dems or Rep., I am voting for GJ so we can see what percentage we have to bargain with!

I don't have to Google it,

I don't have to Google it, that quote is my life story!

The End = Taking the GOP back from the Corporatists and Welfare Whores.

The Means = Making sure Romney loses.

Thanks for helping me explain my point, bro!

I am with you

I agree that it is better if Romney loses, for at least three reasons. One is that Obama is slightly better on foreign policy, though not by much. More importantly, Romney talks "free market," even though he does not act "free market." Thus, if Romney wins and the economy continues to tank, people will blame it on the free market. Finally, since Romney would not cut spending but would only focus on meaningless reforms and making government more efficient, he would actually cause more damage. Making the government more efficient means making the government more efficient at causing harm.

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

Good points. A Romney win

Good points. A Romney win means the hot potato game continues. Actually, any true Republican would want the economy to keep tanking on Obama's watch not a Republican's.

Romney might be a businessman, but it's his style of business that is bringing the country to its knees....
