Video: The Teleprompter Had the Results of the Vote Before the Vote was Taken!

Re: the Vote on Rule 12 and 16.

Here is what you did not see on the "mainstream" news media. The teleprompter had the results of the vote before the vote was taken.

Text: in the opinion of the Chair, the "ayes" have it! Go to the 2:00 minute mark to see the pre-fabricated "opinion of the Chair"

UPDATE! Can Teleprompters Count Votes?

[Washington Examiner] Aug 30, 2012

"RNC Chairman Reince Preibus and House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday railroaded the party’s grass roots in order to shut down any debate over rule changes or the decision to unseat 10 Ron Paul delegates elected in Maine.

I was on the floor at the time, and I saw these party leaders chairing the convention simply ignore points of order and objections. They also ruled that the Ayes had won a voice vote when the Noes pretty clearly shouted louder. It’s hard to get more undemocratic than simply making up the results of a floor vote." ~ Timothy P. To clear this up, I hope.

Since there is some confusion on here about the "If objection, Go to Option 2", here's what happens in a REAL meeting under Robert's Rules...

1. Chair says the "without objection, the question is ordered." This means without objection, we're going to take a vote on what's being asked. If anyone on the floor objects, "Option 2" should be to hear the objection.
2. A vote is taken. Ayes vs Nays verbal vote is normal.
3. Chair says which way the vote went in his opinion. If he is uncertain, he should call for a division and carry out a standing tally.
4. If anyone on the floor calls for a "division" the chair MUST conduct a division of the vote, meaning a standing tally.

On #1, I'd be surprised if there were no objections.
On #3, Boehner obviously should have called for a division. Instead, he went with the script.
On #4, he ignored countless calls for division.

Clearing up the clearing up.

The teleprompter offered an "option 2" after the vote, when the chairman said "without objection" the motion to reconsider is tabled. "If objection is heard, go to option 2," says the teleprompter. Virginia was right up front and yelled many objections, but Boehner steam-rollered right along.

I know what happens under Robert's rules. I think the RNC rules have an automatic motion to reconsider after the chairman calls a voice vote for the yeas or nays.

Thanks! I think I was shocked

Thanks! I think I was shocked enough that I just stopped the video right before 2:09.

There's only ONE thing to do: Apologize to Boehner & elect a new

Teleprompter!

completely

lmao

Did anybody hear the woman say to

make sure the ayes were loud? The had the script memorized and were given previous instructions!

didn't notice that

what point in the video is that?

Not as obvious on this particular video but, go to

about 1:07 on this one. You can just about hear a voice say "Loud. Loud. Make sure the ayes are loud."

There is another video of this posted someplace else on DP and if you listen to that one, Shawker, you will definitely hear it a lot better.

I hear it too

Can someone with the technical knowledge filter out everything but her voice to confirm what she's saying?

Question is,

Question is, who wrote the script???

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

I think you spell their name....

Doesn't matter who casts the votes

Or even who counts the votes.

All that matters is the will of the teleprompter.

It was all completely

It was all completely scripted. No dissent allowed. This is not how politics are supposed to work in a so-called free country.

Doesn't Surprise Me

AT ALL. We knew it was rigged as soon as they started stealing votes months ago.

skippy

This guys can't even cheat properly...

...and they want to run a country...?

It's hard to believe. Shared on facebook.

The RNC's Scenarios

were pretty damn accurate, I'd say. The smooth scrolling result appears as IF the chairman was using a modern version of a crystal ball with an advanced system of speech recognition capable of counting votes via sound in real time. LoL ...

In defence of the teleprompter ...

The contraption did say, "If there is an objection, go to option 2." Although the teleprompter was a bit presumptuous assuming the ayes would have it, it was trying to follow the rules. The problem was, Banana Republican Boner was deaf to cries of "Objection." (And "Division," and "Point of order.") Option 2 was not on the table.

As stated before... the

As stated before... the "objection" part is not what is being debated here. It is the teleprompter predicting the outcome of the actual vote (well past the point of any "objections"), and not giving any alternative scenario in that regard.

Look again

There was an option for an "alternative scenario." Boehner simply cheated. He is guilty of election fraud, not the teleprompter.

Wrong. The "alternative

Wrong. The "alternative scenario" was for if there was an objection -before- any vote was taken. There was -no alternative scenario- for if the "no"s had won the vote. These are apples and oranges.

It's right there in the video. After the vote.

Go to 2:09.

The way it works is when the chair calls the ayes and noes, there is an automatic motion to reconsider. The chairman then says he will table the motion to reconsider if there is no objection. That is after the vote. The teleprompter puts up the instruction, "If objection is heard, go to option 2." Boner then ignored the numerous objections. HIS fault. HIS CRIME.

Apparently the teleprompter also predicted possible objections

So that means it was aiting for input (like any software program does) and your post is pointless.

The point is...

... Boehner is scum. There was an instruction to "go to option 2" if there was an objection. He just steam rollered through like a little Joe Stalin.

Ĵīɣȩ Ɖåđşŏń

"Fully half the quotations found on the internet are either mis-attributed, or outright fabrications." - Abraham Lincoln

Again, there was no

Again, there was no alternative scenario offered for the actual vote results. If the teleprompter had been offering proper alterntatives, it would have offered two scenarios for whether or not there was an objection to bringing the topic to a vote in the first place (it did), -and then- it would have offered two scenarios for whether the "aye"s won or the "no"s won. These are two completely separate things that -each- need their own alternative scenarios. Objections are -not- the same as "no" votes, as objections can keep the vote from ever coming to the floor.

It alternative scenario after the vote is at 2:09

Ĵīɣȩ Ɖåđşŏń

Exactly, so why isn't there a Boehner is scum post on the FP?

Instead it's, "OMG, they read a teleprompter at the RNC derrrrr."

Can't we blame the RNC chairman instead of the machine???

Beats me.

He committed election fraud on national TV and we are upset over a script? He cannot even say he was just following orders. The script had an option in case of objections.

Ĵīɣȩ Ɖåđşŏń

"Fully half the quotations found on the internet are either mis-attributed, or outright fabrications." - Abraham Lincoln

But there was no option in

But there was no option in case the "no"s won the vote. Objections come before the vote and can prevent it from even happening. Where does the teleprompter offer a scenario for the "no"s to win, or even for the result to not be clear from the audible vote? It does not. Once the rules are put up to a vote, alternative scenarios are -no longer given-. Don't mix up alternative scenarios for objections with alternative scenarios for the actual vote result. They aren't the same thing.
