Mediaite Destroys RNC's "Pitiful" Attempt To Pay 'Tribute' To Ron Paul

Mediaite's libertarian columnist destroys the RNC for what he calls a "pitiful" attempt to pay "tribute" to Ron Paul. He says they conveniently glossed all the issues that have made him so vital to RP's followers in a "superficial" attempt to convince Paulites to vote Romney.

The tribute video may not have covered all the points, but

Ron Paul's integrity, the unique depth of his principled convictions that has motivated him to stand alone if necessary to do what was right, and the popularity of his beliefs among millions of enthusiastic Americans - a belief in small government, fiscal responsibility, and liberty - came through loud and clear.

What I found telling was the RNC's unwillingness to have anyone either introduce the tribute or acknowledge it afterwards with so much as a word. When the video ENDED with Senator Jim DeMint saying, "The longer we go, and the deeper in debt we get, the more apparent it is that RON PAUL WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG," and then Senator Mitch McConnell having the last word: "Whether people want to admit it or not, RON PAUL CHANGED THE CONVERSATION" - when McConnell himself then IMMEDIATELY came out, I thought it would be him. Then with the loud chant of "RON PAUL, RON PAUL, RON PAUL..." still going on when he opened his mouth to speak, when he said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we're here this week for the simple reason that our nation is in desperate need of leadership..." for a nano-second there I thought he was going rogue! (Yeah, I know.)

They don't need votes.

It's all electronic voting machines from here on out.

Either electronic voting machines or some dirt on Obama.

Several years down the road

Several years down the road we may look back at this convention as "the striking the match for Liberty" and thank the imbeciles at the RNC for giving us the jetfuel to start our revolution.

They didn't care about getting "our" votes~~

Don't kid yourself. They could care less who "we" vote for. They are going for the ones who were the non-activists, not us. They know we won't vote for him.

What they DON'T KNOW?....is that we will be speaking to all our non-activist friends, co-workers, and family to write in a candidate's name, preferably RP, but any name will do, and if they don't want to do that, then, they will be encouraged to just stay home, why?

Because the Romney regime... is... no different... than the Obama regime.

We will also be blabbing to everyone we know what happened at the convention. They will be shocked. Some already know & are shocked! They sense that things will not change. THEY ARE RIGHT!

Exactly. Forget the "We are the 99%" meme

From here on out, We are the Grassroots.
