So Ron Paul didn't lose the Republican nomination, it was stolen. Ron Paul never conceded his delegates or endorsed Romney, and as the media presses his "loss" of the Republican nomination, he will appear in front of millions on September 4th, 2012:

He is getting more attention for his steadfastness to principles than he ever has in his life at this moment...

I don't get...

all those saying RP needs a break. What if he had won the nomination was he gonna get a break? No!

I wouldn't say he "needs" a break...

I was just saying that he deserves one; that is, if he wants one. Knowing Dr Paul, he'll stay active. I'd rather he stay active, but if he wanted to relax a bit, that would be fine by me. In other words, I will support whatever decision he makes. He definitely cured my apathy, and, for that, I am forever grateful!

That's me at around the 5

That's me at around the 5 minute mark yelling a few PRESIDENT Paul!!!"'s. What a great hero we have as a gift, time to fully cherish it for regret later in history will bring nothing but pure agony...

Don't take this the wrong way...

But screaming/chanting from the audience and interrupting an interview is not good manners. I appreciate the enthusiasm but we must recognize that the way we present ourselves and the message of Dr. Paul to the world greatly affects our success in how well the message is spread and received.

No one Cares

About manners. This is a war and we are the army! None of the corrupt jerks at the conventions or the RNC had ANY manners. There is a time to stand up and make your thoughts known! People out there need to know how passionate we are.

skippy

The fact that "No one Cares"...

is irrelevant because it doesn't change the fact of the matter.

Great!

I wish I was there with you to help you yell it!

Good for you!

Thank you for speaking for me, and so many others.

Hey Vrezh!

I didn't get to say goodbye to you. Thank you for everything you did for Dr. Paul and for the delegates last week. We totally appreciate all your hard work and dedication!

Elaine - the delegate from Hawaii :)

& Elaine, Thank You for

& Elaine, Thank You for representing our State. I loved seeing Ron Paul in a lei!!! That was amazing.

You're welcome

but really it was an honor and privilege to represent Hawaii and vote for Dr. Paul. As far as that lei goes...I got to present a lei to Dr. Paul after the Rally on the 26th, but the one given to him on the convention floor was from Joe Kent our Maui delegate.

Painful

I just saw the interview on Leno. Man was that painful to watch. Not the interview itself, but rather the annoying dickheads in the audience. That was pretty embarrassing. They're trying to do a show people. You'll typically get booted from the audience for that crap. I think a lot of us need to work on being a little less socially awkward/inconsiderate.

Have to agree... well to a degree

I wouldn't have used the word "dickhead" though. I feel like sometimes we don't do a very good job presenting ourselves. What we see as passion is viewed by others as poor etiquette. I feel like sometimes we don't have very good TACT or street smarts. It's one of the reasons we have such a hard time selling the message to people. Like Tom Woods has said on many occasions, you can package things in a way as to make them appealing to people who may disagree with you. On the whole, we don't do a good job of that.

Silence Dogood IX

"Painful"?

Well, it was painful to me to hear you call them annoying dickheads.

A few cheers/chants from some of his passionate supporters are offensive to you??

How silly.

Dr. Paul

is a staunch defender of life, there is no way he is endorsing pro abortion johnson, I agree.

unfortunately my vote is still going to johnson, only for political reasons

Take over the GOP 2014

SWANN 2014!!!

Yes RP is a defender of life...

but he was going to leave the issue up to the states. He has always believed that you lead by example and not through forced morality.

GOP

"Take over the GOP in 2014"

And hold our noses in the meantime .....

I am SO DISAPPOINTED in Ron Paul

I've never said a negative word about Dr. Paul - until now. I have questioned his campaign staff and tactics, but never the man. Until now.
This was his opportunity to do something truly rEVOLutionary and game-changing. He could have, in one sentence, made a "Patrick Henry-esque Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" statement - such as denouncing what the Republican party has become. It was almost certainly the last time he will ever have an audience of millions watching and listening to him. And he really had nothing to lose.
But instead, he went out with barely a whimper. Pathetic.
I feel betrayed.
Don't bother replying to this post, especially trying to change my mind. I'm out.

Aww

Hey guy, once you wipe the baby tears away, we'll be here.

Eric Hoffer

I'm not (very) disappointed!

And I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm expressing my opinion.

Maybe he did have something to lose by denouncing what the GOP has become?? I'm not sure.

And I wouldn't say that it's almost certainly the last time he'll have an audience of millions.

Bye?

"But instead, he went out with barely a whimper. Pathetic...Don't bother replying to this post, especially trying to change my mind. I'm out."
Ron Paul didnt go out, he will keep fighting for liberty and freedom, he's just reassessing his situation. Even if you could give up, you'd be back; you can't unlearn the truth.

I agree that you can't unlearn the truth...

but the fact that Paul and campaign made this about his image rather than the truth and the message and the presidency is frankly more disappointing than him losing.

I glean in the end that Paul was a messenger. We need a true leader to take this message and voice it in spite all resistance.

Bye

Bye

Interview

I think some folks are being a little critical. Sometimes it's just an interview. Am I disappointed he didn't guilt the Libertarian vp into resigning so he could conveniently step in - sure, but that's not Paul's style. A couple more months of hitting college campuses and spreading the liberty word would have been a nice boost. But now it's up to all of s to pay attention to what's going on. And is he going to endorse someone - true to his philosophy

it aint over for my Liberty Party dream

Ron's response to Jay's

Ron's response to Jay's question of running via a 3rd party was as ambiguous as it gets. In the past, Ron has stated numerous times that his primary reticence for running via a 3rd party was ballot access in the various states. Support, both financial and personal, seem to be secondary issues for Ron running on a 3rd party ticket.

Frankly, I'd keep signing the petition, calling Ron's offices, and e-mailing him through this Thursday, September 6th. Voicing the support can't hurt.

Personally, I've e-mailed Ron and asked him to consider running on a 3rd party ticket in 2012, but I'm basically indifferent. I'm somewhat confident that Johnson and Gray just might carry enough of the vote to deny Romney the election and thereby weaken the RNC.

The peace candiate wins

I'm not sure why most seem to think that was a bad appearance. I was glad to hear him make the comment about the peace candidate winning, which is exactly what I would want him to run on if he were to run 'third party'.

Our people should have pushed this idea more when trying to convert other delegates and voters, rather than trying to portray Ron's foreign policy in a way more palatable to them or avoidung talking about it.

The GOP's mantra was 'we must defeat Obama", yet they hand him the election by trying to be even bigger (chicken) hawks than the Bomber himself.
