Mitt Romney said what?!Submitted by principle_first on Fri, 08/31/2012 - 00:13
OK, did anyone watch Mitt Romney's acceptance speech tonight at the RNC?
One thing he said pissed me off.
"...That America, that united America, will preserve a military that is so strong, no nation would ever dare to test it. That America, that united America, will uphold the constellation of rights that were endowed by our Creator, and codified in our Constitution."
That man should not have been allowed to say that about our Military. Not him. Don't pump your chest Mr. Romney and proclaim that no nation would ever dare test our military. No! Not with your positions on foreign policy. Not with the reasons that you give supporting the need for military intervention around the world.
You have said hundreds of times that we must take the fight to our enemies because if we don't, they WILL bring it to us.
So which one is it Romney, because your talking out of both sides of your mouth?!
A military so strong that no nation would ever dare to test our military? Who's been saying this for 20 years?.......RON PAUL! Not you.
The press called Ron Paul crazy for spewing that same foreign policy position.
Foreign policy...the media crucified him because of his stance to bring our troops home. To make them strong again here at home. To have them ready at a moments notice if any nation or any terrorist attacked our homeland. And through this strength no nation would dare test us. A strong national defense.
Mitt Romney, you believe in an aggressively expanding offense that is quick to put our young men and women - who have chosen the most honorable of careers - in harms way.
Such action does nothing to defend our constitution. It does nothing to Defend our homeland. It prevents Americans from living their own lives according to their own wills.
Ron Paul was crucified for what he said. Mitt says the same thing, and he's glorified.
This deeply saddens me....
