It's Not the Winner, it's the Spread. Why We Must Vote Obama to Sweep Out GOP Leadership.Submitted by James_Madison_Lives on Fri, 08/31/2012 - 00:47
Don't listen to the people trying to shunt your vote into Johnson which perpetuates the close spread which perpetuates the two party myth. I don't trust people who were here talking about Johnson even before the nominating convention, which should have been the only topic and taken all our energy.
That's where I'm coming from. I'm sorry to people who don't like it.
The fix is in for an Obama landslide. The GOP establishment wants Obama. They expect us to go for Johnson. They have that all figured out. A super-landslide which pisses off the GOP base and makes them kick out their leaders is our smart move.
The alums, the base, only start hollering for heads when the coaching staff loses big. Otherwise they give the benefit of the doubt and say, "next year, they'll get it together."
Unless RP goes third party, perhaps a Johnson-Paul or Paul Johnson ticket. This only takes a meeting of the Libertarian national committee. In which case we regroup and go for the glory.
Just putting it out there. Stay in the GOP, take it over. Consolidate our gains. But as you have seen, there is no sense of fair play, or camaraderie, with these people. Dr. Paul helped build their party for 30 years and he was treated like a red-headed stepchild. Politics is hardball, and what happens in the voting booth is between you and your God.
Sweep out the GOP leadership. Their job is to not miscalculate "problems" like us Ron Paulers. They miscalculated badly.
I'm looking for comments. I want to hash this idea out with you people who I respect. We have to do something. What should it be? Please debate.
