It's Not the Winner, it's the Spread. Why We Must Vote Obama to Sweep Out GOP Leadership.

Don't listen to the people trying to shunt your vote into Johnson which perpetuates the close spread which perpetuates the two party myth. I don't trust people who were here talking about Johnson even before the nominating convention, which should have been the only topic and taken all our energy.

That's where I'm coming from. I'm sorry to people who don't like it.

The fix is in for an Obama landslide. The GOP establishment wants Obama. They expect us to go for Johnson. They have that all figured out. A super-landslide which pisses off the GOP base and makes them kick out their leaders is our smart move.

The alums, the base, only start hollering for heads when the coaching staff loses big. Otherwise they give the benefit of the doubt and say, "next year, they'll get it together."

Unless RP goes third party, perhaps a Johnson-Paul or Paul Johnson ticket. This only takes a meeting of the Libertarian national committee. In which case we regroup and go for the glory.

Just putting it out there. Stay in the GOP, take it over. Consolidate our gains. But as you have seen, there is no sense of fair play, or camaraderie, with these people. Dr. Paul helped build their party for 30 years and he was treated like a red-headed stepchild. Politics is hardball, and what happens in the voting booth is between you and your God.

Sweep out the GOP leadership. Their job is to not miscalculate "problems" like us Ron Paulers. They miscalculated badly.

I'm looking for comments. I want to hash this idea out with you people who I respect. We have to do something. What should it be? Please debate.

A vote for Obama is a disgrace.

It craps on all the work and sacrifice done by thousands of reEVOLutionaries.

A vote for Johnson sends a far stronger message to the GOP.

One would think that any hopes of "reforming" or taking over the GOP would have evaporated.

Not going to vote for Obama.

The End

All of you IDIOTS need to STFU!!!!

If Obama wins in a landslide it tells the Politicians that we as a country want to be not just screwed but do it with no K-Y. Are you freaking idiots. It must be a CLOSE loss for Romney with a wide range of voters going third party. I really don't care which but the third PARTIES MUST get together and decide on just ONE to support.

This will send the message and take away 1/3 of the electorate from the two parties. Only then will the Fascist/Communist, Socialist/(STATIST QUO) son of a bitches UNDERSTAND!!!!!

Does the Libertarian party or the Constitution Party want to win a third of the vote. How about the other parties. Do you want to end the DUOPOLY. This is how to do it. No other way. Other wise I'll just go tomorrow and purchase another case of ammo.

Either way you IDIOTS want to vote is fine with me.

Why We Must Vote Ron Paul 3rd Party - See Post "It's Still

Possible. We need everyone to check out that post immediately. We do not have a lot of time. We can win this as more and more people are sick and tired of the two party system. A lot of people are registered Independent because they do not like the 2 party system. This could very well be the year that they vote for another party and Ron Paul is just the person that they would vote into office as our next President of the United States! Blowback for the RNC/Romney/Charlie Webster

Are the Dems any better?

I was a Dem until after Clinton's 1st term, and became disgusted with the way the media and the Dem's gave Clinton a 'pass' and made excuses for him with the Lewinsky and related issues. I am not a person who will vote Republican just because, I've occasionally crossed party lines. In 2008 I voted for Baldwin for president after the primaries.

In short, there's not a chance in hell I'll vote for Obama.

Dont listen to idiots (^) telling you to vote for Obama

or Romney. Find a candidate you like and vote for them, or if you dont like any of them, write in Ron Paul or dont vote. Why is it so hard to come to this conclusion? Why are people so willing to throw away their vote by voting for someone they dont even like?

Under this scenario some of us will be writing in Ron Paul,

(make sure it is counted and recorded in your election district or you may as well be carving it in on a tree), some will vote for GJ or some other party, and some will vote for Obama to make sure we are not looking at at least 8 years of total, open fascism rather than fascism with a smiley face for 4.

This scatters the Ron Paul constituency to the wind, exactly what they want. Five fingers are easily broken. Clenched together they make a fist.

Vote for who you want.

I vote to chose who I want to be president. Of the ones on the ballot GJ seems to be the best choice.

General election voting for president feels good and all, and people think there is some strategy in it, but any strategy is wiped out by the huge flood of others voting and then the electoral college system only bringing forth the majority in each state.

To put it simply, despite what we have all been trained to believe, your vote for president essentially doesn't matter. People put to much mental energy into into an action that has little effect.

Local political voting and primary voting is much more meaningful. Start sizing up the people running in your state and be diligent about electing liberty minded candidates, or removing incumbents that do things against liberty. Then reach out to their campaigns and ask what you can do to help them (door nocking, phone banking, or just contributing fiat to them). This should ignore what party they are related to.

how do i up vote you +10 (or

how do i up vote you +10 (or as my son would say, a googleplex)? the bigger the election the less your vote matters. vote as a statement to yourself about your values. as a secondary, vote to add your voice to the others who have the same values as you, as expressed by their votes. its the secondary that leads me to vote johnson instead of voting writing in paul.

this is also why democracy is so silly at the national level. what good is your vote if it never matters. the act of voting at the national level leads us to believe we are only useful as a collective with a leader at the top, not as individuals. it would be better if the only national vote we had was for our representative. even that might have been better served by being selected by local governments. let the interests of the states select our senators, and let the bodies of congress select our president. direct democracy just leads to a power structure where the federal government has more control over people than the local governments, because local governments are no longer represented.

sigh. im ranting. you all know this already...

State and local

Focus on that instead.

The chicken hawks have taken

The chicken hawks have taken over the party.

Both fiscal and social conservatives are completely left out. The romney cult has taken over.

Number one thing is to stop listening to people that try to divide fiscal and social conservatives in the GOP, and unite against the chicken hawks, while promoting a tenable policy for that third leg of conservatism.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Don't be insane!

How well has voting for either parties candidate worked in the past, 100 years? All it does is give them more power. (Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results).

We don't yet know Rons next move as the so called official nomination only happened less than 48 hours ago. I believe we all need to settle once and for all in our hearts, not to ever vote for another tyrant. And who knows what could still happen? In politics anything is possible.

We are millions strong and the GOP is scared. We have already taken over many town, counties, districts, and states, (6 certified & possibly 13 states). Liberty is becoming more popular to people in both parties.

Here for 8 months and you are already calling him "Ron"

That's Dr. Paul. And I know we don't know his "next move." I have said my most fervent wish is a third party run announcement. Then I will drop this silly talk.

There is some tactical wisdom in what you propose.

Voting Obama en masse would certainly take down the GOP a notch or two and they deserve to be destroyed. They are the epitome of corruption, a trait they share in equal measure with the Democrat party. Do I believe the GOP deserves a major slap-down. OH YEAH! Can I vote for Obama, a man I believe is an impostor and a direct threat to the Constitution of this country? I cannot do that. I wish I could, because I feel like I'm enabling these dirty bass-turds... excuse my french.

how will they learn the lesson

i guess my problem with this is how will the GOP know what is the solution to their woes? if they are just bitch-slapped by the dems, how will the idiots at the top know the answer is to listen to the constitutionalists/libertarians?

a vote for one of the third parties aligned with the liberty movement in the GOP will send a clearer message to them what needs to be done.

Yes, the message will be clearer IF Romney loses

If Romney wins the message will be "See? We don't need them Paultards". Wanna take a chance?

Nuke 'em from orbit (vote Obama). It's the only way to be sure.

Four more years!

Leges sine moribus vanae

I think if Obama has another 4 years we might be able to wake up some democrats and move them over to the liberty side. He will burn everyone. I'm sure he will say at the end of his 8 years that it was all bush's fault.

The level of evil in the GOP is breathtaking. To see all these drones mindlessly cheering USA USA USA is utterly disgusting to me. The know not what they do.

Talk about putting hurt feelings ahead of your country. My vote vote for Romney will cancel your Ovama vote this November.

James you're right!

I've said this for weeks now.
We are fighting an intra-GOP war and most folks here still want to vote their principles and forfeit the battle and war.

Make SURE we keep Romney out. THAT is the key to having ANY influence the next time.
At this point, I'm voting/working for 2016.

Imagine this. HOW in the world does anyone justify losing to a presidential failure hated like obushma is?? How does the gop handle that? blaming us wont fly so they dont!

The Power is in the message.

Keep spreading the message of Liberty to those around you and you will see everything change.

Prepare for an economic collapse and social unrest.

My idea of the best way to proceed at this point would be to promote an Abstention campaign.

If we could get very high abstention percentages, it would at least discredit the "power elite".

I will wait for the opinion of Ron Paul on how to proceed because I respect his experience in these matters and will likely fight for whatever he suggests.

I try to change people every day. Do You?

Why do you keep spreading the

Why do you keep spreading the message of liberty in the now defunct Republican Party? ...when there is a candidate already out there espousing your message of liberty? Obama is not a viable alternative to Romney....Good grief....It is time to see the writing on the wall. November is only two and a bit short months away.

We have been there and done that..

The Libertarian Party will not have a chance to debate the two proposed kings of the world and there is no way to beat the establishment at this time in my opinion.

The best we can do is to grow our numbers and keep exposing the corruption and fraud that our movement has been served.

We must take our battle to the courts as well to either prove that criminal acts have been committed against our Liberty Movement and call for exemplary penalties for the infractors of the law or at least in a worst case scenario expose yet an other compromised branch of the Republic if the courts find these obvious infractors not guilty.
