Ron Paul: GOP 'Not His Party'

From Zero Hedge via Bloomberg:

Ron Paul Recants The GOP, Just Says No To Keynesians

"As we anticipate more demand-rigging, pump-priming, can-kicking experiments from Bernanke today, Ron Paul just came out with his latest stream of truthiness (via Bloomberg):

Indeed, what is the opposite of 'between a rock and a hard place' when deciding on just who will provide 'change' in November."

Rep. Paul: “Well, it's not my party,”

In a Friday interview with Bloomberg News, Rep Ron Paul (R-TX) was asked to reflect on his presidential campaign and state whether or not he was “unhappy” with his party.

“Well, it's not my party,” Rep. Paul responded. “I don't like politics at all, and I think both parties are Keynesian economists and both parties support the positions that I don't like. So the party in many ways is irrelevant.”

Right there. This is why I love this man so much :

Right there. This is why I love this man so much :

... Next question, please ?

Dr. Ron Paul : you just ROCK, sir.

The man IS one of us and ISN'T a politician: wow

He's also a heck of a street fighter. We all love him, no doubt about it.

Rep. Paul: "..the party in many ways is irrelevant" - We agree!

Another party must be found or as Amelia Eirhart advised, "Find a runway and if you can't find one, build one!"

Because the MSM will continue to block RP out, (GE, Disney and other companies, bailed out with tax dollars when they made "mistakes in judgement" were allied with the MSM,and fear him as a criminal fears the law, because RP does not approve of favoritism: lobbyist-induced bailouts). Shout this message from the rooftops!

Paul reminds us that people pay for their personal failures and poor judgement - they do not hand their next door neighbor their unpaid bills! This practice and the Fed's "free money" to Congress and the warmongers, adds to these employees' dread of exposure of their own unorthodox activity and is cited as one reason for their juvenile secret antics. They fear RP and his on-target message, addressing doctor cures for the damage, since both parties now practice Keynesian economics, which reduces citizens to serfdom. Character is relevant, so to quote Dr. Paul: ".. the party, in many ways is irrelevant"

Important on this site is Calling those of Hi-Tech-savvie to take RPer's message once more across the Internet and the world. No trolls allowed! To call all Lawyers for Ron Paul who are willing to take supported and legitimate complaints, with no conclusion in the Complaint, all the to way to the US Supreme Court. We must make viral the truth that our movement and our Constitutional rights as delegates and supporters have been blacked-out by an Organized Criminal Element. We must recruit investigative reporters, once again to uncover the names and pasts of the "ten deciding men" who perpetrated the GOP's outrageous bully behavior in Tampa. We will not stand silent, being very aware this election is not a ball game which ends and we can go home.

RPers must join to seek and find a viable party - Constitution Party if the candidate, Virgil Goode, (an accomplished young man with six years in the National Guard, his stand not given on the vital issue of undeclared wars at times when the US has not been in imminent danger, which is contrary to the Constitution), will agree to wait another eight years to run, perhaps in exchange for a cabinet post, or until the time when he can again "throw his hat in the ring", or run today under a different banner-in November, so that the last true statesman many of us will ever see, Congressman Ron Paul can be included on a 50-state ballet!

This is what we must be about. Judge Napolitano as a RP VP! This judge is not only a cracker-jack on the law and a good friend of Dr. Paul, but is well-known to the public on Fox Channels, has excellent name-recognition as well as an excellent mind.

Ron Paul will win if we can get the unvarnished truth out, if we outnumber the GOP hijackers, if America is not already a total police state,(Tampa). This, we cannot know. We must go with what we do know and that is there are victims who have retrieved their stolen goods and by their testimony and a competent lawyer, placed the thieves behind bars.!

One other topic the R3volution hopes to see covered in the dailypaul:

A warning to YouTube readers and posters on the RP portion: When you see a tiny, almost hidden green square on the left, with letters, RT, this is a troll from Russia Today with the "Come into my parlor" blog. Google it. RT is NOT our friend!

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

LOL Why The Granger,

Why The Granger, specifically ?

(I ask genuinely)

The Granger

Is a Romney troll and actively campaigns here to get people to stay in the GOP and vote Romney.

She fully supports and is voting romney. She believes that by doing so, it will promote RP's positions.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

That's Not Really The Case

Granger has to vote "for" Romney, her vote is NOT a private ballot.

You know that, it's been discussed here endlessly.

To confuse voting for Mittens with supporting RP's "Policies", you denigrate the many hardworking committee-members and activists who have chosen to battle the GOP-Elitists from within.

We need to encourage more people to stay involved and work toward the goals that Dr Paul has outlined.....not to run away.

Did you question Cynthia Kennedy's remarks to the "Occupiers"?
When Cynthia urged them to get up?...to "become" GOP activists and effect "true change" from within?......I don't think I saw your "critique" posted there...to single out Granger is only divisive, and certainly not coming from a Libertarian point of view....shame, shame.

mods change the title of this. can you stop this disinfo?

even the original poster has admitted it was taken out of context.

i dont understand how anyone could have watched this interview and not understood that he was saying the gop [does not belong to me]/not MY party."

He said it didn't he?

Text of story above.

It's not my party either

Flush out your headgear new guy, you think this was a fair campaign? This was a slaughter. Go back, listen to the words, listen to the very end.

“It's not my party” That statement may seem ambiguous but it's correct no matter how you take it.

What do you "may seem ambiguous?"

Only a hopelessly romantic piss ant could possibly construe this to mean he is suggesting that.

You people are no different than the hannity and oreillys who knowingly spread lies while looking the other direction as if there is any sort of legitimacy in quoting out of context.

You people are no better than the TelePrompter script writers who presumed the ayes would have it at the rnc.

You are no better than than the disinformatinalists who called Paul a racist for newsletters he didn't write.

You are the same journalists that you complain about who regurgitate without logic.

I just joined the Liberty Party

... No membership info is kept by this elusive non-organization

Join me !!!!!!

I like it

The un-party.

I won't even ask where to sign up.

But I am all in.

I really don't know how

anyone can continue to be a republican after what they have done throughout this presidential campaign,. That includes (holding my nose) all the candidate running.

The only voice you will have from here on out is the one they allow you to have.

You don't have to be registered Libertarian to vote Gary Johnson

So I'll keep the Republican party registration for now. But if the Libertarian party actually becomes a viable alternative with poll numbers to prove it I'd make the switch. I don't give a shit frankly, I'd register for the American Bolshevik Party if a libertarian managed to sneak in & I had to do so to vote for him in the primary.

Do we have to be registered to vote for...

Popeye? It's all good...I'll just write him in.

Perhaps it is....

Stockholm syndrome?

Ron Paul said Become the Tent

He DID NOT say it had to have a GOP logo on it. The single largest category of voter are registered as Independants. R is only 27%. ANybody here that thinks Ron wants us to vote for Romney and be "good little Republicans" has missed the entire point of his campaign.

the stranger's picture

being Ron Paul

Ron Paul being Ron Paul; I guess I never grow tired of that, for what it's worth. Oh well, back to storm watching - a hard rain's gonna fall... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sxk8qjqAhk

Not his party? How long was he a Libertarian before

he became a Republican? Was the GOP ever his party? Does he consider himself no longer a libertarian and if so,why not?

He was a Republican first.

He left the GOP in 1988 and joined the LP because Reagan didn't do what he said he was going to do, and instead, grew the government, and entrenched Keynesian policy.

He learned fast, that at least at that time, the LP was a joke and that the system was so rigged to keep them that way, the only way to affect change was to run again as a Republican. He switched back 2-3 years after his Presidential run.

So for the most part - he's always been a Republican.

I think he just means he does

I think he just means he does not OWN it. He doesn't like when they pronounce so much power to him. He really is a humble man. My impression is he thinks the party belongs to all of us. But I got the impression he was saying the Republican party was not his party in this particular video.

LOOK people

this is what a football field looks like:

study it closely.

now imagine 3 teams on the field trying to score on a game designed for only 2 teams.

do you understand now?

the game is designed for only 2 teams.

Two teams?

I wonder how the Whig Party is doing.

That is a great analogy. The bottom line is that we need

players on BOTH teams. Eventually the game will no longer be about winning or losing - it will just be fun!

~Your perception becomes your reality~

Paul actually said:
"Well, it's not my party. I don't like politics at all, and I think both parties are Keynesian economists and both parties support the positions that I don't like. So the party in many ways is irrelevant.."
which in my opinion has the meaning as the title suggests - even underlined:
"Our appeal right now is to independents and Democrats ... These people want their freedom. They want sound money, they want to bring the troops home, they want the wars to end. They want the spending to quit.."

This to me very much looks like a call to independents...

I know an interesting precedent example - in our country the president Vaclav Klaus (a Ron Paul admirer) was the crucial founder of the "ODS - "Citizen democratic party" in 1990's (- still the prime minister is from this party now) playing the pivotal role in the transition of Czech republic from a communist country to western capitalist democracy just in couple of years.

After V. Klaus became president in 2003 he remained the honorary chairman of the party. But then the originally conservative and pro-laisez faire party without his direct leadership more and more was becoming a party with a dubious platform, unprincipled and not fulfilling its promises, with more and more antidemocratic tendencies, leaning more and more to Keynesianism and party high brass even supporting the totally antidemocratic socialist Lisbon treaty (euroconstitution), which the president was on my advice fervently criticizing - although it was quite clear from the very beginning that he cannot win the battle, many people woke up - he gave the most critical speech against EU politics in the European parliament in its history and he was even going then to the Czech Constitutional court to try to stop the Lisbon treaty - which all together led to his job approval skyrocketing to around 70% even he was openly hated by all the mainstream media.

In the December 2008 in mid of this continentwide Lisbon treaty controversy there was a convention of the ODS party, which was full of shenanigans like this year in Tampa, throwing out the delegates and high brass trying everything to rise the support to the Lisbon treaty, which good to note was mainly supported by social democrats.

Then V. Klaus came there and gave a very short surprising speech where he said that he cannot support the party anymore because it disconnected itself from the principles which it was found on and he immediately resigned from the post of the honorary chairman.

Many voters and even some influential politicians since then stopped supporting the ODS party more and more center-left leaning politics, the ODS government was subsequently taken down mid term by the parliament and even by some of its own members and needed to be replaced, then there was the 2010 parliamentary election and the party was unable to get the majority, two new parties were found and got into the parliament and the ODS must now be in a coalition government and generally speaking many expect that it will lose the next election in 2014 completely.
