Keeping the Voices of Peace, Liberty, and Sound Economics Alive

What next??? We should not retreat to the sidelines and give up the stage to watch fiddle dee and fiddle dumb move deck chairs as the ship goes down. Our voices must rise not fall during the months ahead with clear and positive messages about what needs to be done - not just about bashing establishment ideas.

If Ron decides to go to the sidelines, we need to find a new leader to help rally the cause and be a point person for liberty as the next debates unfold. Without a point person, we will not be given opportunities to continue the fight for gaining mindshare.

Rand will certainly continue to challenge establishment ideas, but, as a senator, will only be able to speak from the sidelines. Do not expect to see or hear much from him in the mainsteam since the focus will be on presidential candidates.

Unless Paul decides to leave what is left of the Republican Party (what a disgrace it has become) and either start a new party or join an existing party as a presidential candidate, his views will also not get much airtime.

While not perfect, Gary Johnson is the guy we need to get behind. He will not win, but, with our support, he will have greater opportunities to take our messages to the masses. It is not about winning elections at this point - but about winning minds and sustaining the momentum that we have built.

We all wish Ron were that guy, but unless he does something dramatic such as leaving the GOP (emphasis on OLD), we will not have that essential point person in the presidential race.

I think that we should also change the name of this site from Daily Paul to Daily Liberty (or something like that), since the Paul era is over unless he decides to get into the ring as a presidential candidate. This forum has been super critical in helping us fight the cause of liberty - but we need a new banner if Paul is on the sidelines. We must shift our focus to those who are active in the liberty movement and work to keep expanding our base.
