The Time Is Now! Make The Republican Party - Our Party - Here's How!

Just being registered Republican is not enough though, I mean it's great to be able to support liberty candidates in the primaries, but that's not how we take this ship over.
To take over we have to get involved in our county and state GOP. If you're not already, google your state GOP - like this if you're in Florida - http://rpof.org/contact-us/find-your-local-rec/ - and find out when and where your county meetings are held, and then go! It's very easy to become a PCO here in Florida and I'm sure the equivalent in your state is easy to make happen too. When you become a PCO you have voting rights on who your county GOP office holders are, and if you bring enough of your friends to these meetings and they bring enough of their friends, (it doesn't take a lot, it's amazing how few people are involved and how easy this can be) your county will be run by you and your friends when 2014 rolls around, and then we work to make the state leadership ours from there hopefully before 2016, and when we take the state parties, we take the RNC from there. We can do this, it just takes getting involved and going to a meeting once a month or so, sometimes they are even interesting and not punishment! Imagine how much better they will be when we are running the show and setting the agenda and deciding which speakers we want to invite to speak at the monthly meeting!
The Republican Liberty Caucus http://www.rlc.org/ is a great way to network with people in your area too and help each other run your local county GOP! I had great fun at the RLC events I've been to and look forward to more!

Consequences
Every time we make a decision, we gain something, and we lose something. Sometimes it's something we want to lose (being marginalizied for me) sometimes it's something we want to win, (Ron Paul's being the nominee).
Romnee is the nominee and I have to find a way to make the best of that. See what is good about it. For me, so far, it's that Ron Paul Republicans are on committees, Obama doesn't have any Ron Paul people on committees, so Romney is better than Obama for me.
I'm still seeking other reasons. A post earlier mentioned judges.. Not enough folks here admit Romney will be their candidate, so I don't get much out of it, but what I do get, is that I can not depend on Ron Paul supporters to support Ron Paul Republicans.
It's not good news, but it's better KNOWING, than not.

Wow, I can't imagine anyone here not supporting RP Republicans.
Now, I'm sure there are many that won't join the GOP, or are leaving it, that won't get on GOP committees, but that's certainly not the same thing as not supporting RP Republican candidates with money, time, or their vote.

Im a Ron Paul republican, in fact until last thursday after the Boehnor teleprompter scandal I was serving 4.5 more years here as the youngest precinct committeeman in my town, 23 years old. Im now the chairman of the Libertarian party county affiliate that didnt exist until I, the INDIVIDUAL, did something last thursday, by going down to my SoE and changing parties. Im NOT a cheater, Ive never been married, but Ive never cheated on any girlfriend. Ive been cheated on. I dont stay with cheaters. The GOP cheated, Mitt Romney didnt WIN the republican nomination, he cheated, the RNC didnt fairly win that prescripted teleprompted Boehnor vote, they both cheated. Ron Paul didnt lose the GoP nomination, he won by Technical Knock Out.
In sports, if its down to the last play, seconds left on the clock, and your player wielding the ball of that particular sport goes out of bounds, or breaks a rule, or runs out of game clock, facemasks, technical fouls, turnover, etc the reffs dont add up another point for said cheating team and declare them the winner, they didnt EARN the points, and in some cases they can be disqualified if evidence can be brought forward they were somehow cheating or inhibiting the other team. I see politics much like sports, which my team won last years national championship and I didnt hop on the proverbial bandwagon Ive been with it since I was born (granted, sports team loyalty is OK, political loyalty other than to the constitution is NOT OK).
Cheaters arent winners, even if nobody understands or sees that they cheated cause they dont care about that specific game or sport.
That all said, Im glad to be a young enthusiastic and constitutionally loyal member of a non cheating national political party, and its like dominos out here, about 50 friends of mine have switched since last thursday once I brought all this to light for them. The Republican Party GREW becuase of voter registrations for Ron Paul. So you left the GOP, to open a chapter in the LP that won't last after the election.
Instead of representing RON PAUL in the GOP, you ran away because of the 10 fat cats we joined the GOP to eliminate. So they forced Romney on us. BFD! So THEY are liars.. should motivate you to FIGHT, not run away to oblivion.

If you do take over your county party, you are then left either supporting the 90% of the GOP that doesn't agree with us or you engage in the same sort of tactics and rules manipulation that they did, becoming just another corrupt group. Their is no winning in the GOP,l there is only compromising of principle, humiliation and having our movement tarnished while alienating all those who are not Republican.

I am fortunate that my county has enough Ron paul Republicans, Tea Partiers, fiscal conservatives and religious righters who ALL want constitutional government to be working together.

I'll take history as my guide on this, and I don't see the possibility of the LP becoming a force to be reckoned with due to the way the R's and D's have rigged the system to not allow it....sure, down the road when we've changed the game from within I can see it being a viable vehicle, but I believe it's going to take us taking over the GOP first.
Besides...heck..YOU convincing me of this in 08' is the Reason I'm still a Republican today!!

do both. If you really think that taking over the GOP will work then do it, but then vote third party until you are able to place one of your own in the GOP. Which of course is very unlikely to impossible seeing that the PTB will never allow it.

The work for the future has been made, the Libertarians are just trying to cash in on Ron Paul's work in the GOP. They've never been credible, and are only gaining traction with Ron Paul's run.
I would be very pissed for all the money I gave trying to get ron paul as the GOP nominee, after all the time spent convincing other people that Ron is a republican and won't be a libertarian candidate if he doesn't win. This move to a third party will cause blowback to the liberty movement.

I hope they are heeded by the rest of us. There are some people who do not want to win. That is from Murray Rothbard. They just love because of their egos to be in some purer than thou sphere of intellecutal purity. In reality, they are viewed by society as a lunatic fringe. Rothbard advocated for the most ideal solution to liberty out there, the pragmatic one. Working within the GOP is very pragmatic. The seat are ripe for the taking as many are vacant. We can do this. The final push will be in 2016.

"Vote for Romney"? I didn't. Staying in the GOP has Zero to do with voting GOP. In fact, read my second to last sentence in the post.
I also think a Romney loss in November will make for greater opportunities for the liberty movement in 2014 and 2016.
