Why I intend to vote for Mitt Romney for president.

This will get shot down by most here and to be perfectly honest, I understand. If you want to vote for Gary Johnson or Virgil Goode that is your business. But, I would like to voice the reasons why I will be voting for the Romney/Ryan ticket in November and will encourage everyone I meet who intends to vote, to do the same.

I had hoped that once Romney won the nomination that Ron Paul supporters would just let the presidential race go and concentrate their efforts on funding the campaigns of the dozens of Liberty candidates we have around this country this year on state ballots. Kurt Bills could sure use our help, but, because he and most other Ron Paul-endorsed candidates are supporting the Republican nominee, many Paul supporters now want nothing to do with them - which is why we have to keep talking about the sorry choices we have for president this November.

I will be voting for Mitt Romney because I believe Barrack Obama is THE worst president in U.S. history. He makes Keynes look like a Monetarist. Romney and his mushy, moderate supporters make me sick, but, it's either a mushy, moderate, status quo president, or an Alinsky radical. I will hold my nose any day of the week for a mushy moderate if it means buying a few more years time. Nixon was no fiscal Conservative nor classical liberal, but, if Hubert Humphrey had won in 1968, the United States today would be a mirror image of the crappy condition of the EU states, only worse (at least they don't have an empire to manage). Nixon managed to buy the Conservative movement time - time to build at the grassroots and eventually take the White House in 1980 and hold it for 8 years, not to mention dominating local politics.

We're not going to force the GOP to embrace us by giving the Kenyan fascist, wannabe socialist four more years. That will only cause them to hate us more and want us out of their party even more.

I'm 21 years old and a junior in college. Lord-willing, I have most of my whole life ahead of me in this country and I care too much for the U.S. and my future to do anything that could potentially give Barrack H. Obama, whose policies, agenda, and unconstitutional shenanegins make Lincoln look like Jefferson four more years to finish transforming America into his father's dreams.

I'm sorry if you disagree, but, it's Romney or Obama and I would take 20 years of the former before accepting one more year of the latter.

After reading YOUR comment I know who you are...

You voted for Bush....just "woke up"...

Guess what??

Coffee is still waiting for you in the kitchen.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” - Mark Twain

That's not true

Obama has no one on any committee holding him to the constitution or working to restore America.. Romney does.

Romney has Goldman Sachs and

Romney has Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan holding him to their own interests.
Romney sold americans' jobs out for his own personal interest and gain.
You like him?

That's right, and even more

Romney has Ron paul committee memebrs to deal with, so it's niot going to be easy being Romney.. paybacks are a MF.. so happy I can oblige while you run away from the real fun for a Republican that the Libertarian Party resents for being FORCED on them. Ever think that maybe the Real Libertarians wanted a Libertarian and not a REPUBLICAN who doesn't even have his own script but borrows one named Ron Paul?.

(((((Breaking News For Granger)))))

They heard your guy saying that he supports ndaa, tsa, biometric identification, etc. They heard your guy saying that he didn't know much about the Constitution and that he will instead consult with his attorneys once in office.

They cheered for your guy. They covered, pushed and took away RP signs, restricting citizens, delegates of their freedom of speech. Your guy, his attorneys and his "followers" completely silenced delegates who were duly elected by thousands of citizens across this nation. And you actually believe that THEY are going to "hold" him to the Constitution? And restore America?

Let me guess. He bought you 2 subs instead of 1.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

He didn't buy me anything

No one on my committee even wanted a free bumpoer sticker, but we;ll all be voting for him. We will be holding Romney to the constitution so he better start learning huh? Kinda hard to be king when all your men are threatening you with the constitution, which is WAY more than anyone on King Obama's team plans to do.

The Trolls.....

never give up. I wish I got paid to blog.

stupid choice, just dont vote

stupid choice, just dont vote there both the same, socialists.

The Paul Craig Roberts article - why not to vote for Romney

It's good. I am tending to agree with this assessment.

If you can cast a vote for Romney after reading this, you should go into politics.

Why vote at all in the Presidential race?

Why not do as The Granger has done and join a central committee of the Republican party (apologies if you are already a member). Then you will have to agree to vote for the nominee but at least you will have a good reason for doing it.

Otherwise there is little point. The race is already decided. The winner has already been chosen. If we have learned anything in these primaries it is that they are rigged. The votes are stolen and switched to the chosen one of the oligarchy. The absolutely best thing you could do is to withhold your vote from the machine so they have fewer to play with. Unless you must vote as a party official do not vote in the Presidency race.

There are many other races to support Constitutional liberty candidates in and that is where one should focus their time money and efforts.

That's all folks! BTW I voted you up for courage to speak your mind and take your lumps.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

People in GOP positions

People in GOP positions should make every effort to vote their conscience.

If you mean those on committees...

I believe they have a duty to vote for the party nominee. They can then with a clear conscience hold their nominee to the party platform that contains I believe a commitment to uphold the Constitution. The Granger knows more about these matters than I do but this is what I have gleaned from reading her posts.

She is very astute and has a wealth of political experience, in a good way. She is attacked for things she says but the ones attacking her are a lot less knowledgeable about the political minefield and therefore unlikely to be able to navigate through it without blowing themselves up along with anyone following them.

Just because someone is a libertarian does not give them a monopoly on wisdom. We all have a lot to learn and this year I have been learning a lot I didn't know before.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

Are you ready to suffer for 8 years instead of 4 more years. I will NOT sale my vote short Gary Johnson is the best choice left unless Ron Paul should change his mind. Gary Johnson 2012 my new motto.

Thank you Dixie-Paleocon

I don't disagree, and you gave me food for thought, which I appreciate. So many people who are down-voting you like to think they support Ron Paul, yet, they will not support your right to think for yourself. You do a great job of thinking for yourself. Again, thank you for the food for thought, and stepping up to share that!

And there she is!!!! The drum

And there she is!!!! The drum beating republican that will vote for 8 years of hell. Good for you, granger. You are a puppet and a slave. Bow down to your masters! I assume you are A-OK with all the cheating and B.S. that has gone on. You go, girl! Kiss their butts and their rings. Run out and campaign for your lying, flip flopping cheater!!! Sleep well knowing you helped that pos in the polls. Notice I did not say in getting him elected!
And just to be extra sarcastic... this is not the daily romney as so many of you have screamed about this not being the daily Johnson.

Formerly rprevolutionist

This is not the Daily Romney, but,

Ron Paul is no longer a candidate for president. In my opinion, Romney is the best choice of those that are left.

She is happy as long as she is on her committee

She will vote for whoever the committee tells her she should back.

That is incorrect

The CA sec of state had Romney as the nominee a month ago. I am focusing my attention on Liberty candidate for Congress Dan Roberts, and not working with the committee on Emken for Senate. I donated to Dan, not to Emken.

Lawst week my committee voted against the CA GOP recommendations.. I see progress.

I am happy as long as I see progress on my committee moving to Liberty.

It's awesome.

She is one of the sheep. As long as her committee allows her a small voice, she will play their game. If she steps outside their boundaries they will throw her to the curb. Don't tell her that though, you might upset her republican applecart.

Formerly rprevolutionist

I see you as the sheep

Sheep like to flock, be surrounded by others who think like them. I can stand alone.. and I like to eat sheep, by the flock.

granger, go vote willard.

Then run back to your committee for your pat on the head. Enjoy!

Formerly rprevolutionist

I will

And then I'll remind them of the loyalty oath they took to the constitution, and hold them to that.

How do you expect to hold them to that

when by voting for Romney you yourself will have ignored it. Ron Paul had a plan to take over the party but it was based on the party being bottom up. That is no longer the case.

Take the For out of it

All of us who did what Ron Paul asked, and took committee seats, that are two year commitments, signed loyalty oaths to the party, so Romney for us, is not a choice, it's a condition, and that condition also applies to the loyalty oaths we all take to the Constitution.

When Ron Paul was in office, the GOP ignored the loyalty oaths, Now that the GOP has found those oaths, and used them, we don't see any reason not to use them too.

Ron Paul's plan was brilliant, that is why Palin's Earthquake is doing it, where Ron Paul has way too many "young people" who have NO experience, don't want to listen to those who do, can't think past what they feel from watching the propeganda on MSM and YouTube, and don't read their own posts.. as the post reams about tptb, but they just don't understand how that applies to anyone, or themselves. It's like we have a generation of those who want hard knocks.

There are two Ron Paul RepubliCANs on my committee, neither of us are young, that is a huge advantage in that we don't take much crap. We don't have an RNC over us. We have tea party members who LOVE the constitution, so that is a plus.. and now Palin's people are pouring onto the committees.. Ron Paul wished to God his supporters did that. I have to give the Palin people credit, it is very impressive.

So we have a majority standing for the constitution, where as when Bush was in office, there was Ron Paul all by himself.

It is a crying SHAME people here are not storming those committees.

Sounds to me like you'd be perfectly happy returning this

movement to obscurity and insignificance (third party).
