Ron Paul Can't Run 3rd Party, Independent, or Write-in Campaign

Ron Paul can't run 3rd party, independent, or register to be a certified write-in candidate because of GOP Loyalty Oaths that he took and signed. It's time for Ron Paul supporters to face the fact that Ron Paul is retiring and to look at other alternatives in the General Election in November.

"In order to be on the GOP Primary Ballot in at least 11 states, including Texas, Ron had to pledge that he would not seek the presidency on another ticket if he failed to secure the GOP nomination." - Jesse Benton, 2008 -

BIG LIE

evan alask, I spoke with Dr. Paul this afternoon about continuing the fight by running on a third party ticket. I want to share what he said to me and let you know what needs to be done to make this happen. It can happen, but it's going to take some work. If you are willing to support this effort, please share this event and call in:

Freedom.

This is not true..

I live in Texas. You can vote for anyone you want for President as long as they filed. Show me one of these alleged "loyalty oaths". Why have we allowed the Gary Johnson sell-out cowards to take over this site?

It's depressing that the truth-seekers seem to not want all forms of truth... especially about themselves.

Ron Paul doesn't have to "run" as a write-in for me to write in!

DUH!!

Look, all you Gary Johnson supporters can talk about him all you want. To me, you have an opportunity to write in Ron Paul (if you live in a state that counts write-ins) and be able to tell your children and grandchildren you voted for him instead of Obama or Romney.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime...well, for me, twice in a lifetime. (For some, third time in a lifetime.)

In 24 States Ron has to run as a write-in

Only a few states may count and report a Write-in Vote for Ron Paul.

Please view this image that shows the rules State-by-State on Write-in votes: http://imgur.com/EF2bM

8 States do not allow any write-in votes.
8 States have sore loser laws that prevent someone who ran in the primary from being a write in candidate.
24 States require a write-in candidate to sign and notarize paperwork to be a write-in candidate and it is unlikely that Ron Paul will do this.
10 States may allow a write-candidate but the votes will not necessarily be counted or reported.

Do you want to educate yourself on Write-in and 3rd Party Rules?

Don't take my word for it. Read these articles and follow every link. On the pages that break down the rules by state click on he hyperlinks in the text that take you to the actual website of the states that have the actual law. Don't believe anything I have to say and do your homework. I'd say that a states webpage is pretty much the final word.

Amazing how quickly and fervent some are to remove

Ron Paul from the political equation. Are we really so limited in our creativity and resolve to so quickly dismiss dr. Paul's campaign and leadership? Is an unknown and constitutionally weaker candidate ( with the initials of GJ really our only option)? Somehow I don't think so.

The dust hasent even settled yet in Tampa. I say we keep moving forward till we hear differently from our leader. Liberty, freedom an independence are win at the local level. Ron Paul's name is becoming more relevant every day.

Ron spoke about Gary Johnson just this week

Ron Paul suggested that Gary Johnson was worth taking a look at in a video interview this week. You might want to watch it:

I took a look

But wasn't impressed by his voting record, tax plans or support especially when compared to Ron Paul. Who BTW hasent dropped out of the race and continues to win new supporters every day.

I'm starting to see a possible pattern of manipulation here

You posted that map the other day without giving any proof on whether or not Dr.Paul was eligible for write-ins past your word and now you're here trying to pass off a 2008 statement as relevant to 2012.

He didnt fail to secure the nomination...

it was stolen.

Maybe this is a dumb question

but can he run as GJ's Vice President?

That is from 2008. It's irrelevant now.

That is from 2008. Irrelevant now. We need to know if he signed a similar agreement for 2012.

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

Is there-

a current version of this for 2012. And in theroy - how can any of their rules be valid if they do not follow them?

theoretically, couldn't he resign from the GOP?

wouldn't that cancel out any "oaths" he made or signed? I mean since when did the GOP follow their own rules? ''

I can see it now.. he runs, he wins (or gets damn near close), they sue him, as witnesses are called to the trial, one after another show up testifying that the GOP lied, did not follow its own rules, and constantly broke laws and self rules in order to "get what it wanted" , hence how could they expect someone to follow their rules?

I MEAN HE FU CKING FOLLOWED THEIR RULES AND HAD 6 STATES NOMINATE HIM ..AND THEY F UCKING IGNORED HIM!!! WHY SHOULD HE SUDDENLY DECIDE TO HONOR THEIR RULES, SO THIS NATION CAN DIE??? I DONT THINK SO!! HE MUST MAKE THE BEST CHOICE FOR OUR NATION(ITS HIS COUNTRY TOO YOU KONW) AND THEN FOLLOW HIS HEART FROM THAT POINT ON<?b>

Love it

Well said Jdayh.

AND, I feel, there IS a time and place where cussing IS appropriate/warranted AND I feel, this IS one of them.

After all WE ALL got "ROYALLY" screwed AGAIN by some pious elitist DOMINATION FREEKS and were not even supposed to be able to verbally thank them appropriatly?

NO! There is a time and place where cussing is NOTHING in comparison to what they do.

He doesn't have to.

He can endorse and participate in the Gary Johnson and Jim Gray campaign.

Governor Johnson and Judge Gray can announce that they are instructing their Electors to vote for Ron Paul and Gary Johnson in December.

Maybe he had to do that in 2008.

I have not seen nor heard that he had to do this in 2012.

Accept reality

Do you imagine that the GOP is less tyrannical in 2012 and that they rolled back their loyalty oath requirements because they have decided to be nice guys? If anything there were probably more states that required loyalty oaths in 2012. If he signed even one of them he can't run and keep his word.

In all the interviews, Ron Paul would have said I can't run 3rd

party, I signed a Loyalty Oath. He never ever said anything about an oath or he could of shut them up immediately from asking him that same question over and over again. And besides, even if he did, GOP certainly didn't go by the rules so why should we now.
