Did the RNC Also Snub Santorum & His Supporters at the Convention?

Just wondering if anyone remembers before I try to hunt down the answer myself...

Of course we know the RNC shamed itself even more by not announcing Ron Paul's delegate votes, leading to the audience doing it for (her).

Question:

According to http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P12/R Santorum got 9 floor votes.

Did the woman announcing the totals repeat Rick Santorum's votes?

It would seem that if she did, it only would have drawn more attention to the fact she wasn't saying Paul's votes.

If she didn't, then I suppose that all of the Rick Santorum backers out there should feel as snubbed as we do.

This could be a huge rallying call for Santorum people to 'get on board' the liberty train, since we were both ignored and discounted as irrelevant.

Of course the states went in alphabetical order - does someone have a good version of the convention video to look at?

No One But Romney's Votes Were Called Out

You asked if Santorum's votes were called out in confirmation and no they were not. I was watching the live stream while at work (it's no wonder I haven't lost my job during this campaign!).

There was one vote for Huntsman and that other guy from Texas (besides Ron) too and neither of them were called out either.

A coronation indeed.

I dont think thats as bad

I dont think thats as bad compared to Paul. Santorum didnt carry any states, had far fewer delegates than Paul did and even "released" his delegates.
When they first started reading the counts, I figured that a few delegates didnt matter too much. However, when you have someone carrying a state or more, not reading the person's name is definitely snubbing.

I am actually glad now they did that because it was far too blatant not to be picked up by most people. While the rules railroading got some press, the snubbing probably got as much if not more.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

TEA Party

I believe that the votes which went to Santorum represent a dissatisfied TEA Party, of which I was a part before I knew about Dr. Paul. In my experience in Oklahoma, they do not seem to be as concerned with liberty and peace as the revolution is, but we both have in common our disdain for spending in Washington. Freedom Works even helped majorly in getting Audit the Fed through the house.

If we're smart (and we are!) we will use this to our advantage in the days ahead. I'm prepared to "lose the battle" every now and then in order to win the war.

They snubbed him a long time ago along with everyone

else. Otherwise we would have had a real brokered convention which is what should have happened.

hthomas

Santorum was Snubbed

however I think he was offered a cabinet post should Romney win.

It was clear to me that once

It was clear to me that once Rick Santorum released his delegates, he had no interest of being nominated.

His name was never called

Yes his name was called...

I only saw Oklahoma where he got 1 delegate but apparently he got 8 more delegates from at least one other state...
