It's Not Either/Or, It's BOTH
Submitted by Paulreal on Sat, 09/01/2012 - 19:26I've engaged in the debate here of whether to stick it out in the Republican Party or or to join the Libertarians.
I fall on the side of dropping out of the Republican party on the grounds: why try to conform cheaters, neo cons, hypocrites, warmongers and big government statists?
Most here by a glance at the high number down votes seem to fall on the side and tact that Ron Paul took-infiltrate the party and continue the fight there.
I disagree. For Myself.
My motivation does not come from transforming persons or entities that do not wish to be transformed. Why join a club that doesn't want you as a member?
I would prefer to join like minded people in the smaller Libertarian party and help build that party up.
However, if liberty minded Paulites can infiltrate the Republican party and influence it or take it over, the reward will be greater, sooner.
If you are cut out for that type of fight, winning IS possible, but its not a battle I would chose to engage.
So I say, join the battle you feel most comfortable and best suited to fight.
It can't hurt to spread liberty everywhere.
Indeed, why not also try infiltrating the Democratic party?

i say liberty everywhere- in the libertarian party the republican party and the democratic party and
with independents

is potentially dangerous and can weaken the movement. Its best to have liberty minded people all over!
Smart Democratic strategists
will probably see an opportunity to try and exploit the Paulites that were dissed by the Republican party.
