Blood Donation Drive for Ron Paul (Thank you)
I decided to give blood after accompanying Mrs. Carol Paul and her family to a local blood drive in NH. While there, I garnered a lot of positive response from people in the waiting room, got to promote Dr. Paul's message, and probably saved three lives in the process. I also showed the people at the blood drive that Dr. Paul's supporters are generous, compassionate, and loyal Americans. The success of that event inspired me to organize a nationwide campaign to give blood and promote Doctor Paul during the week of Jan 28th through Feb 4th.
I usually would have plead some morose apathetic drivel about how an idea like this could never work, but after getting so much positive encouragement from everyone, I decided it must be worth a shot.

* Having spent two tours in Iraq and seen a single soldier take 5 pints of blood, I can’t tell you what an incredible idea I think this is. While I am ineligible to donate (for recent service overseas), I appreciate beyond measure what you are all doing and am going to donate to Ron Paul’s campaign based on my appreciation…This is really amazing.
* This is a tremendous thing for Ron Paul supporters to do. Me donate? No, no. I used to. I never thought I’d be on the receiving end, but I am now and am grateful to all who give blood. I must be part Spanish, part Japanese, part Italian, part Vietnamese and part a lot of other nationalities by now. If only speaking the language came with the transfusions, I’d be multi-liingual.

I just got a call from my community blood center (I'm on the donor list), They REALLY NEED blood!
I'm going to take this idea to my meetup group.
If you're not signing up because you're scared, please know it doesn't really hurt and it's fast 5-10 minutes. Also, if you bring someone with you it becomes kinda fun.

Great Idea!
After I donate I can honestly say "I've given my time, my money and my blood" to this campaign.
I use to give blood but now I
will only give blood for family, friends, or relatives. Why? Because I realized my blood was going to support unnecessary surgeries and unnecessary war efforts, neither of which I will ever promote again. Know that unless someone is in a major accident, doctors can recycle the patient's own blood, which is the body's preference. I believe the giving of blood is sacred, something of the heart, not the head. I gave gladly, without any publicity as a blessing. I recommend all fellow supporters consider doing the same. Think about what I said, then if you decide to give blood, do so speaking from your heart (in secret), not your head (for political gain). Then pray your blood doesn't go to support dark enterprises.

Blood Bomb
I definitely support this idea... all the way. It's a great cause, and hopefully will motivate people to do it again. Only thing I don't like, is the term "Blood Bomb" A Money bomb is good, cause well... an explosion of money sounds like a great thing, however an explosion of blood, just sounds a little too... morbid. Just throwing in my two cents.... and my $50 to support the site ;-)

I agree about the morbidity of the phrase. I've tried to avoid it, but several people have encouraged me to use it. I'm going to avoid it in the future, because of the bad connotation. This is a positive movement.

donations for blood drive
I have a paypal button on the site to cover the costs of renting the server and the domain name. I just got a 50$ donation too!
As soon as the amount I paid is reached (about 100$ paid so far), I'll either remove the button or send donations to the head campaign.
Or, I can start using the money to advertise on TV. I heard that the local cable stations charge cheap rates (like 75 dollars to run an ad 21 times for a week!).
