Six soldiers were killed and four were wounded Wednesday in a booby-trapped house in Diyala, the U.S. command said. It also announced that three U.S. soldiers were killed and two wounded in an attack Tuesday in Salahuddin province, north of Diyala.
The toll marked some of the deadliest days for U.S. forces in Iraq since last fall. For all December, 23 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq.

Since Ron Paul entered the race and drew a large following, the media has greatly reduced its negative reporting in Iraq.
My theory is that not much has changed, but previously, the heavy coverage of Iraq tolls was something that helped the Democrats and therefore supported the "powers-that-be" candidate (Hillary).
Now that Paul has become the most vociferous, powerful, intelligent anti-Iraq-war candidate and gained a large following, they have tried to downplay the coverage in order to not give him mass ammunition against the warmongering republicans.
I am pretty well convinced that Hillary is the favorite of the globalists and Paul is the most hated. As much as possible, those at the top work to provide Hillary a boost and hurt Paul.
Reporting on Iraq is one large aspect of this.

The casualties from both of the fronts are going to be downplayed because of politics! This is outrageous and disgusting. What's evn worse is that the majority of Americans just follow along like lemmings.
My Nephew leaves for Iraq next month. I am scared for him and mad as hell. He got sucked up into the war marketing about honor and patriotism, duty to his country bullcrap! GW is using my nephew as a tool in his war for oil and empire building. My nephew and I have talked since he went off and joined last year and now sees he made a not to smart decision, but must now go, weather he wants to or not. At least now we will have another Ron Paul supporter in Iraq.
I heard a rumor a few weeks ago, has anyone else heard this? They have stopped counting the war dead differently now. If the soldier does not actually die in Iraq, that soldier is not counted in the tally as an Iraq casualty. If a soldier is severly wounded and they can get him airlifted out of Iraq, on their way to another hospital outside of Iraq, then he really didn't die in Iraq. I have not been able to confirm that anywhere. Has any one else heard of this?
It's time to bring these troops home! We are not getting the full story of what is going on over there.

I have heard all along that the casualties reported are from troops killed in action. The troops that are injured and die in a hospital or later on are not counted in the tally.

I hate how all the media claim that everyone we hurt in Iraq is Al-Quaida. Iraq has the sunnis and the shiites, not Al Quaida. We attacked their country but make it sound like everyone is Al Quaida.
