Who is less evil? Romney or ObamaSubmitted by wraiththirteen on Sun, 09/02/2012 - 15:35
When I tell people now a days that I will not be voting for the republican for president, but writing in someone or voting third party (I have yet to make up my mind) they tell me that I should be voting for the lesser of two evils, and that since I am not voting for romney that I am giving my vote to obama. When I respond I think that obama is just a tiny bit less evil than mitt, and if that is my choice I would be voting for obama they are shocked, and that tends to be the end of the conversation. My reasons are
obama 4 years is less than mitts 8 years
obama is lazy mitt is actually a very hard worker, so I would rather have a lazy evil dictator than an industrious evil dictator
The military tends to lean right so if the shtf they are more likly to ignore a democrat than a republican
obama has been known to be a reason for unity among the grass roots, the tea party, and the ron paul people in the republican party, but Mitt romney is kinda known to divorce all such groups out of the republican party.
I know that obama uses executive orders to do evil (and this is the biggest knock against him when comparing him to mitt)but in all honesty I can not compare mitt to him in this category, so on this one issue its a question of the devil you know verses the one you do not know.
I feel the republicans will likely keep congress, and may get the senate, and historically that is an awful thing to have with a republican president, but a wonderful thing to have with a democrat president because instead of destroying more freedom, and spending more money they argue about petty things.
So my question fellow dp'ers when you vote third party or write in someone, is your vote being taken away from mitt, or obama? and why?
