So, where is the email from Ron Paul that says he is quitting?

If the rumors are true (we will know by 10:00 pm central, my Dad will be filling in for me on the call as I work nights), then Ron has not given up on us. He believes in us, and we believe in him.

08 had the infamous 'Trotsky Email' stating that Ron was no longer seeking the presidency, essentially giving up. There is no such email from the campaign to my knowledge. (I check my email regularly)

There is no parallel. Sure he said that the money bomb for the delegates was the 'last' money bomb. lol, maybe the last of his Republican career. We will fund you no matter what Dr Paul, and you know it.

IF, IF Ron is running 3rd party, we must create a money bomb in celebration. Just saying.

Shaded of 2008 again

And just like 2008 people refuse to accept reality. The nomination is lost so there is no future in the GOP race for president. And Paul said a long time ago that he would not run third party. The main difference between 2008 and now is that Paul is also ending is service in congress. He has fought hard but the fat lady is singing.

He shouldn't need email-He sent a thank you letter on his site

He saw what happened in Tampa and that is it as far as the campaign goes.

He's not quitting!

What part of "We Are The Future" (of the republican party) do you not understand?

From Ron Paul Forums:

Maine State Committee Meeting 9/1/2012:

"These are the resolution votes at today's special meeting of the Maine GOP State Committee. They were amended to past tense because they were submitted originally for special meeting prior to the Republican National Convention which Webster managed to put off until Sept. 1, after RNC ended.

Resolution to express displeasure that the duly-elected delegates to RNC were not seated and expressing displeasure that the State Chair did not intervene on their behalf passed 45-21.

Resolution calling the challenge filed by outgoing-National Committeewoman Jan Staples and Maine Romney Chair to be of a "divisive nature" to the party passed 40-22-4 abstain.

Resolution that the Maine State Republican Committee has "No Confidence" in Jan Staple's ability to represent Maine "in a fair and professional manner" passed 40-22-4 abstain.

Resolution formally requesting Chair Charlie Webster to remove Staples immediately from the Rules and Bylaws Committee passed 37-22-7 abstain.

Committee members acted in an orderly and dignified manner, although Webster had a uniformed Waterville PD officer wearing leather riot gloves stationed in the back of the meeting room and two officers on the sidewalk outside!

Several attempts by pro-Webster members to adjourn without votes were defeated by significant voice votes.

One person was outside the meeting with a sign reading, "MAINE GOP...GRASSROOTS UP NOT TOP DOWN!"

Channels 8, 13 and 23 and a print reporter were outside the meeting room and did interviews on the sidewalk.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the State Committee is Nov. 10, the Saturday after Election Day. The only other regularly scheduled meeting in 2012 is on Dec. 1, which is election of State Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer."

Are you getting it yet?

The man is not quitting the

The man is not quitting the fight, but he has sadly lost the race for the nomination. The Libertarian's already have their candidate and that is the only third party that I can find that will be on all 50 state ballots.

I'm sorry to be a downer, but this sounds like a silly rumor to keep people hoping and dreaming. He said look at Gary Johnson, but vote how your conscience. He is not done fighting for us, but he is done with politics. Sorry guys, do what you must. Some work inside the GOP party, some work on third parties, some even work in the Democratic party. We must fight for liberty on all fronts.

I respectfully disagree

It is not a silly rumor.

It is the grassroots showing our support for Ron Paul and respectfully urging him to continue with GJ if at all possible.

I understand, but we're

I understand, but we're making ourselves look silly. Do we really need continue to pretend that Ron is somehow going to win this election? Can we focus on what to do next instead of pretending that we haven't been squashed by the GOP rule changes? We need to stop living in the past and praying for some miracle and get to work.

I agree

And I think the most important work to do is to educate the people.

And the best way to do that is to support Ron Paul running with Gary Johnson, in my opinion. Just think how many new people would hear the message!! Independents, Democrats and maybe some of all the people who have lost trust in the system a long time ago.

Many people have no interest in the Republican party and would never consider voting for a Republican for whatever reason. Running with Gary Johnson would spread the message more than anything else we could do over the next couple of months.

If I'm not mistaken the

If I'm not mistaken the Libertarian party has already suggested that it would be very difficult to get Ron Paul on the ballot with Johnson at this point.

I would love to see a combination of the two, no doubt, but I cannot see it happening. Overall it could go either way, as a bad or a good thing, but it really depends on how the media spins it and if people choose to believe it or not. They can definitely find a way to make Ron look like a "desperate old man" or something like an "ego-maniac, bent on controlling the country." I can't say for sure how it would be received but you get my point.

Where is the one stating that he intends to press on and run third party? The only way he would do that is if they had internal and external polling that showed him getting a significant bump after the RNC debacle and Romney and/or Obama losing ground. (he would also have legal advice about going around "sore loser laws" in a number of states that would effectively keep him off the ballot.

I don't know this person who claims to have talked with Dr. Paul about a 3rd party run and is hosting this conference call. I do know that Israel Anderson (from Ron Paul Flix) spoke with someone in the campaign who already said no. NO third party. No special announcement on Leno.

Just sayin'.

We are liberty. Time to pick up the torch.

The email, I would guess, is

The email, I would guess, is on the front page of his campaign site.

Nothing on his site says

'I Quit'

haters gonna hate. There is no analogy between a personal email saying he is quitting and a nonpersonal gee thanks on the website. I have yet to get personal confirmation ala 'Trotsky Email'. Putting up on the campaign website? What is that? Why give out a personal email, and now we get an impersonal gee thanks on the campaign website.
