Rush Limbaugh Goes Off On The RNC - Mentions 3rd Party RunSubmitted by zooamerica on Mon, 09/03/2012 - 00:18
What I heard this afternoon while driving over to a friend's house for a BBQ was quite interesting.
Even Rush Limbaugh thought Rule 12 was a really dumb move because the new rule turned a, "united party," into a bunch of po'd disenfranchised grassroots republicans. Anyone hear his program this weekend?
I found it amazing how he spoke about what the RNC did in Tampa regarding their own rule changes, but in the 20 minutes of listening he never said Ron Paul's name.
But what Limbaugh DID say, made my jaw drop. "There's a real possibility of a 3rd party run here..." As a direct result of what happened in Tampa. I almost didn't make it to the BBQ...
He sounded completely disgusted with what the republicans had done in Tampa. Limbaugh was essentially calling the Ron Paul republicans the "true conservatives," of the party. He went so far as to say that the GOP is no longer a conservative party. I was quite stunned to hear Rush say this. What he was implying was left for all of us to fill in the blanks.
"He just wants us to leave the party, the GOP would be so happy if we just all packed up and left."
I have read both sides of the argument. To go independent, or to stay the GOP course...
Mr. Stang's article was very strong and true, but what about Rule 12?
Rule 12 shuts the door in our face, forever. What happened in 2012, and what happened in 1976 when Reagan challenged Ford and almost won the nomination can never happen again in history within the republican party.
Rule 12 is the rubber stamp of all rubber stamps. The RNC just closed the door on us. Or did they open a new one?
I am a registered republican, but an independent at heart. The only reason why I am a registered republican is because I don't have an Independence Party I can call home.
Bring It On Home, Ron Paul. Bring it on home.
