Ron Paul told Evan from Alaska in a phone call that he would be open to running third party ...Dr, Paul is concerned that he would have enough support.
Evan advises to call Ron Paul's Washington office or his Lake Jackson office this week, voice your support for Ron Paul, and state your party affiliation.
He also suggests that telegrams supporting Ron Paul are a good idea.
I listened to the conference call with Evan tonight. Apparently Lincoln won third party.
UPDATE:
Evan said there Gary Johnson would step aside. As things stand now, Gary Johnson's VP would be elevated into the presidential candidate spot. Ron Paul would be put in the veep slot.
They are working on the legalities of how to get Ron into the presidential slot but in the meantime, the point is Ron would be on the Libertarian ticket which is on in all 50 states. (my understanding)
Let Dr. Paul know you will support him for third party. Let's give the donkey and elephant a run.....we have a Dr. that can run like a deer around them and we will make him our team drafted captain and win.

Ron has always said its about us
It is up to us to get Ron Paul on all 50 ballots and it is up to us to get him in the debates.
I'm sure Leno will ask him about a 3rd party run.
I am confident That he will say its up to us to figure it out.
I don't think he himself will say I'm running 3rd party
I think it will be more like I havnt given up on my supporters I hope my supporters havnt given up on me.
He should make it clear that he will not take anymore effort himself in getting on the ballott or campaigning but he must leave the door completely open to the grass roots effort to get him on the ballott.
That's what I think he is doing he is handing the campaign over to us but he is not retiring he will follow the movement.
Kinda like giving yourself up to a higher power.
There are still some states where we can get his name on the ballott.
Some states where we can get him on libertarian tickets , constitutional tickets.
That's the message Ron is gonna give us.
He is going to unleash us and give us the orders to get it done.

Libertarian Party who will do whatever is needed to get Paul on there. They are working on the legalities of getting him on for the Presidential vs VP slot.
I would love it if Ron Paul were the VEEP so he could spread the message of liberty and be in charge of Harry Reid in the Senate.

Yeah, because Dr. Paul always bases his decisions on, "whether there seems to be enough support" as opposed to his own values and judgments.
Yes, wasting the time of his staffers sounds like an AWESOME plan. WAY better than them spending time tracking down medals for veterans and listening to constituents.

I think faxes could be substituted in this case

he'd bring too much too it, and not get enough for it, the other way, and it wouldn't be worth the downside as VP, imho. The point is Ron in the presidential debates.

If the aim is to See Ron Paul's message maximized here and now, we all must pull together to make that happen. We've trusted him for five years. Shall we give up on him now, when change is chomping at the bit so hard we can all feel it?
We need Ron Paul in a position of maximum influence, and for the moment that is probably with Gary Johnson. Foot in the door, honorable agreements, shift the fulcrum of power enough to create change. Whatever it takes to keep the energy growing. He's given us everything he has...let's return it in kind.
