It sure helps pass the time between the other 23 and 1/2 hours of other RP related activities.....I'm so anxious to here the quarter totals. I would hope that they would start the 4th quarter with a device like this in place but maybe there's a strategy to not revealing the total numbers. God Speed Ron Paul.

I was hoping they would do something like this. It is strong motivaton and shows the fruits of our effort as well so is rewarding for him and us.

I do the math every so often, and at this point it requires us to put in $4,400 an hour to hit the 1 million mark in time. We are going a bit faster than that, and so as we go on, the per hour raise amount goes down.

Thank goodness I am not the only one. I check it every hour to see how we are doing. It looks like we might break the million mark Saturday night at our current pace.

When I watch the red pulsing thermometer, it reminds me of the life blood being sucked from the Giuliani, Romney & Thompson campaigns.

I GUESS WE ALL NEED TO GET A LIFE, but it sure beats watching the news with no mention of our RON PAUL. I did catch some of Tucker today and he mentioned RON PAUL and Crossed himself at the same time. I really think as a Catholic that was awesome. Tucker really does like RON PAUL and I can only hope that was a prayer going up for him.
My husband thinks I've lost it and every time I call out through the house with the latest figures---he calls back with the scores of the latest game he is glued to. I keep trying to tell him that not one of those teams will change our country and give us back our LIBERTY---but RON PAUL will help us do both. He just grins and we both go back to our obsession. He is not complaining too much about my donations because I have not been shopping at Macy's since this thing started. Now that is sacrificial giving. Keep those donations coming and I will keep watching and calling out your names to the Lord. God bless RON PAUL God bless us all.

I embedded it on my desktop

I customized my Windows XP desktop to handle active web content and "embedded" the flash file directly onto my desktops wallpaper so the thermometer is always there:

  • Right click on an empty area of your desktop wallpaper and then select "Properties"
  • Select the "Desktop" tab
  • Click on the "Customize Desktop" button
  • Select the "Web" tab
  • Click on the "New" button
  • In the Location: box, add the address to the thermometers flash file:
    http://www.ronpaul2008.com/features/quarter3/quarter3-1mil.swf
  • Hit the "OK" button to confirm addition of this to your Active Desktop
  • Hit the "OK" button to close the "Desktop Items" dialog box
  • Hit the "OK" button to close the "Display Properties" dialog box
  • Minimize all th open windows you may have open, until you get to your desktop - you will see a square box with a shrunken thermometer in it
  • Click and drag the very edge of that square box to resize it to make it bigger
  • Click and drag at the very top of the box to position it on the desktop
  • The thermometer will remain there, even through reboots, until you remove it from the Active Desktop through the Display Properties page again

    It's the next best thing to seeing Ron Paul TV ads to see money coming in that will pay for them. Media buys probably won't happen in my state (California) any time soon, unless some millionare wants to run them independently, but it's great to see results from our commitment going toward future media in those early key states.

    It would seriously be eating into my RP YouTube viewing time, except, fortunately, I can watch it at work.
