How To Deliver The Gop Your MessageSubmitted by The Granger on Mon, 09/03/2012 - 11:33
If you would like to deliver a message to the Republican Party about your perspective of what has happened at your state convention and the RNC, I extend to you an invitation to attend your next county central committee meeting.
You can find out when your next meeting is by searching your county name "______________ Republican Central Committee".
You will come as an observer, or guest, so you will not have any right to vote, but you will be able to hear what they say about the RNC. I would like to suggest you ask for copies of the by-laws, the Draft Platform, Resolutions Committee Report and Inniatives Committee Report. Your asking for this will make them sit up, as they will think.. "they are onto us".
I would also like to suggest you ASK to be put on the next meeting agenda as a speaker, or guest. They may allow you to voice your opinion at that meeting. My committee would, but each committee is unique, so it will depend if you have one of the 10 fat men there (chances are you will not).
IF you go to the next meeting/a second meeting, if they did not allow you to speak for just showing up, as they don't have to, they do have to follow their agenda; when you go, let them know exactly how you feel about your state's participation at the RNC, and what bothers you about the rules change, everything.. everything that get's you. If you can, write it out and give them a copy to be put into the minutes, and let them know you will send a copy to the editor of your local paper.
If they had copies of the by-laws, resolution, inniatives, draft platform on hand, you will have had a month to study and if you wish, you can take issue with it and tell them what you don't like, or like. There may be more people coming to this meeting knowing you will be speaking, or there may be less (running away). Find out how many seats are open, if there is one in your county district.
If you go to a third meeting, and you are registered Republican, if there is an open seat, you are eligable to be appointed that seat.
I'm inviting you to come to ONE meeting, your LOCAL county Republican Central Committee meeting, SEE FOR YOURSELF what the reality is, who is putting issues and candidates on YOUR ballot. Meetings are open to the public, not just Republicans. You may find Ron Paul Republicans seated, you may meet the delegates who attended the RNC and hear what they report.
If you belong to a Meet up group, consider making this an event.
Please do not be afraid, or so discusted that you disable yourself from deliverng a message to the people who need to hear it the most.
If you make an effort to look good for the meeting, they pay more attention. The meeting should last an hour, come a few minutes early, introduce yourself, and leave whenever you like.
If you came to my meeting, you would have a great time because you would see how the other Ron Paul Republican on my committee and me give our committee one two punches and fight FOR liberty. Also we would encourage you to speak and side with you. Chances are you have a Ron Paul Republican who would LOVE to see you, or maybe even several, who would also LOVE to see you.
Please do not think I'm asking you to vote Romney. I am not not asking you to do anything. I'm offering you an opportunity to give the Republican Party a message THEY WILL GET because YOU delivered it personally. It's up to you. How serious what happened at your state and the RNC is to you? Is is worth your time to make an effort for one hour to tell them how you feel? I don't know. Preaching here to the choir on DP is not how they get YOUR message. So here's your invitation. Carry on!
