Either a Paul-Johnson or Johnson-Paul Ticket Would be Much the Same to Me.Submitted by James_Madison_Lives on Mon, 09/03/2012 - 15:39
The irony is, who do we have to thank for the idea of a virtual co-presidency? Dick Cheney. There would be no question of the policy direction coming from the White House, and I suspect even a Ron Paul VP slot would draw almost as many votes as a ticket headed by Paul.
If it turns out to be too difficult to put Dr. Paul at the top of the Libertarian ticket, I'll take any ticket with him as VP any day.
The important thing would be to have Dr. Paul's voice in the spotlight and able to command media attention. And a debate with Biden, Paul, and Ryan would be a television ratings sweep. Can you image Smokin' Joe Biden all tongue-tied and stammering at Ron's zingers? The Libertarian ticket's inclusion of Ron Paul would also kick Johnson up to the 15% threshold needed to be included in the presidential debates.
Just thinking out loud here and exploring all options. What do you guys think? The closer we get to election day, the more apparent the bankruptcy of Obamney will become.
