Remove Mitt Romney from the ballot!

Nevada, Minnesota, Main, Iowa, Oregon, Alaska and the Virgin Islands, should hold a meeting with their Republican State committee, and demand that Mitt Romney be removed from the presidential ballot in their states just as their delegates were removed for violations in the election/nomination process.

They should SUE the state parties to force Romney off

With the duopoly sanctioned by state laws, seems improbable that violating the rules and changing them after the fact doesn't amount to fraud, making the Republican slot on the ballot void. The Republican nominee should be omitted from the November ballot in states where elected delegates were unseated.

Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.

I'm seriously in favor of a

I'm seriously in favor of a plan where a candidate that wins a plurality of delegates in any state should be on the ballot under the GOP or Democrat banners.

I honestly believe this is the closest way of letting voters in the states have their voices heard.

Imagine in 2008, you would've had all these match-ups!

--paul joins third party run

--paul joins third party run with johnson
--romney is removed from the ballot in 10 states
--final results for election: obama 40%, johnson/paul 30%, romney 30%

In these states, Paul would be running Major Party.

It means that the GOP fractured nationally due to the refusal of the RNC to hold honest conventions. It could change the dynamic of the election, and cause a political realignment of the Liberty Republicans with Libertarians and/or the Constitution Party.

If no candidate gets a majority of electoral votes (270) the U.S. House of Representatives picks the president from the top three finishers The Senate chooses the VP from the top two finishers in the electoral college.

Don't we have lawyers working on this kinda stuff?

Great idea!

Nice idea

Good luck making anything happen on this one.

The dastardly RNC at Tampa asked for it. Well...

Let's give it to their pet, Mittens.

Take Mittens...OFF THE BALLOT!!!

mostly democrat states

Except Alaska and swing Nevada

Maine is unique. It's not winner take all.

Maine has two congressional districts. It awards one presidential elector for the winner of each congressional district, plus two for winning the statewide vote. Thus it is possible for its electoral votes to get split 3-1.

Iowa is in play as a swing state this year, and Paul was polling well there in January. Some of these states could become competitive for Paul vs. Obama without Rmoney on the ballot. Minnesota elected independent Jesse Ventura governor a few years back. It could make things quite interesting if Paul was leading in some states, since it makes a deadlock in the electoral college possible with the U.S. House of Representatives deciding the election.

Are there election or campaign fraud laws?

It would be great to bring light to the large number of delegates actually elected and alternates. I also think that any fraud would also invalidate any sore loser laws.

Federal Election law is pretty forthright and comprehensive.

In case you haven't see this:

42 USC § 1971 - Voting rights
"Intimidation, threats, or coercion.
No person, whether acting under color of law or otherwise, shall intimidate, threaten, coerce, or attempt to intimidate, threaten, or coerce any other person for the purpose of interfering with the right of such other person to vote or to vote as he may choose, or of causing such other person to vote for, or not to vote for, any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, or Member of the House of Representatives, Delegates or Commissioners from the Territories or possessions, at any general, special, or primary election held solely or in part for the purpose of selecting or electing any such candidate."

Caucus or Convention.
A caucus or convention of a political party is an election if the caucus or convention has the authority to select a nominee for federal office on behalf of that party.” - 11 CFR 100.2 - Election (2 U.S.C. 431(1))."

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

It would be fantastic

but is it actually possible? They sure have gotten away with alot. Couldn't they just get something like this thrown out before it even got started?

Ultimately, the choice is for the presidential electors.

The state parties select the presidential elector slates, who actually elect the president. Denying Rmoney the state ballot lines makes a political statement, but the ultimate power and choice is for the presidential electors. Imagine if "stealth" Paul supporters win as presidential electors in their states. They could erase any "wins" Rmoney gets on election day, and vote for Ron Paul or Libertarian, etc.

How many stealth Ron Paul presidential electors are there?

Well, I don't want to get any of them in trouble if they can be removed before they would vote in December.

Is electoral process any more immune than the delegate process?

Why don't the parties change the rules for the electors as the GOP did to the delegates in the convention to get desired outcome?

Each state party sets it own

Each state party sets it own rules for choosing its presidential elector slate.

Thus is states were the Ron Paul people are in control, it is possible to deny Rmoney the state ballot lines or presidential electors.

However, once the presidential electors get elected in November, federal law prohibits any coercion for how they vote in December.

Very interesting.

How do we become electors?

Is there still time? And what's the process?

Each state party selects

Each state party selects them.

Rules for naming them and removing/replacing them will vary from state to state. In some cases they were selected at the state conventions, and in other cases they are appointed by state committees or its chairman.

Campaigns select the electors

Ypou apply to the campaign, and then the campaign vets you, you get a letter from the campaign that you need to get noterized and then mailed into your Sec. of state.. on election night they call you to tell you when ypo come in and you drive/fly to the state capital and make your vote.

I was an elector for Ralph Nader 04.

Deny Rmoney status as a national candidate!

I have been advocating just that here:

Hope my state of Minnesota does this
