Liberty movement is the future? Not without local liberty candidates running and getting elected.Submitted by ArsenalGunners11 on Tue, 09/04/2012 - 07:39
I've been saying this for a while now, but I'll say it again. Our local representatives are one of the biggest keys to whether or not this liberty movement grows.
May the Ron Paul type, Constitutionally & Liberty principled candidates please step forward. Maybe in the next 4 years, one will be you.
Think about this: all of the candidates running for president on the Republican side this year, were either governors, senators, or congressman, except for Herman Cain.
In 2008 & 2012, we have seen the Champion of the Constitution go 1 vs. 9 up on those debate stages, getting 89 seconds to speak in a debate put on by CBS, and getting blacked out by the MSM. Wouldn't it be nice to see more Establishment GOP candidates start to get pushed out of those debates? Just imagine 5 or more Ron Paul types up on that stage running for president. Just imagine if Ron Paul would have been able to look over, and say, "Okay, I'm not the people's pick, but I proudly endorse Tom Davis, Justin Amash, Judge Andrew Napolitano." (a Ron Paul lady, or someone else).
As for 2012, knowing that now we are going to get either Romney or Obama, we owe it to ourselves to send those guys some of the best liberty minded state representatives for Senate & Congress that we can get. We owe it to our states and towns to really research quality judges and other various representatives as much as possible, and get as many Ron Paul types as there may be out there, in to office this year, in 2014 for Congress & Senate, and then in 2016.
It took a lot of republicans to beat out the Whig Party back in the 1860's, and it is going to take a lot of liberty candidates getting into office, if we really hope to ever make our next stride.
If you could pick 10 candidates for 2016, who would they be?
