Will we support Dr. Paul if he does NOT pursue the 3rd Party Option?

Crunch time guys.

There are a multitude of practical reasons that Dr. Paul may chose NOT to pursue this 3rd party option that many are excited about. There are also, probably, some reasons that we know nothing about involving direct threats, etc.

If Dr. Paul announces tonight that he and Carol are going to take an "around the world" cruise .... instead of the announcement that we want, are we going to RESPECT his right to do that as an INDIVIDUAL who has already given enough?

Are we going to grant Dr. Paul the RIGHT to back away and turn the movement over to US? Or is Daily Paul going to be filled for weeks and weeks with articles on how Dr. Paul "BETRAYED" us.... "let us down".... "didn't do ENOUGH", as if we have any right at all to DEMAND what another individual choses to do?

Are we so infatuated with the "quick fix" option of one election, and so DAUNTED by the prospect of building from the ground up over decades, that we will abandon and reject the man who ignited the movement?

Let's all examine our libertarian consciences carefully before tonight. Do we REALLY believe that an individual has NO OBLIGATION to live for another? Or are we just "emotional" libertarians, who are going to go to the dark side of "force" when the going gets tough?

Of course, he's been on the

Of course, he's been on the same message for 25+ years. RP deserves some time in the garden and some cookie time with CP.

*Wisconsin Constitution* Article I, Section 25 "The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other law-abiding purpose"

100% respect & admiration.

I will always support Dr. Paul.

He has busted his aspirin for us, now it is our turn to do the same.

I'm totally ready to hear

I'm totally ready to hear what Ron's next plan will be!! I personally hope he hops onto the Libertarian ticket but I'll fully respect him if he decides to walk into the sunset and head back home to his loved ones for some well deserved rest! =)

I will respect whatever decision Dr. Paul makes - even tho...

...I would love to see him stay in this thing somehow.

But he has singel-handedly done so much that if he wants to slow down, I certainly would not deny him or his family that.

Most of us will be lucky just to be alive at 77 years old.

Let alone take on the awesome task of 2 presidential campaigns in a row.

I predict much disappointment tonight

I predict a happy, relaxed, funny and delightful Ron Paul on Leno. But NOT an announcement of a third party run or shared run. Probably even a rejection of such a notion.

I hope those on this site keep their heads! Lot's of hype and adrenaline over the past few days. (sigh)

I'll say it again

Keep your heads, people!
This movement is NOT a one shot deal. It's not going to be wrapped up in a tidy little package. It's going to be long, and hard and messy!

I want Dr. Paul to do exactly

I want Dr. Paul to do exactly what he wants to do! For me, nothing he does now can undo the tremendous impact he's had on me, and I think that goes for a few (million) other people too. (Well maybe him endorsing Romney would be a tough one to take, but I'm not worried about that!) It's our fight now anyway and if he stays in it a little longer I'll be thrilled. And if he retires and devotes his time to his family I'll be thrilled for them.

Ron will not throw away everything we've built

Ron is not going to run third party and leave us all hanging who won hard fought positions at all levels in the GOP. The third party proponents -- mostly online vicarious revolutionaries rather than street fighters -- fail to take into account how far we've gotten and how much sweat and dollars it took to get here.

This is not an argument against VOTING third party or not voting at all, but against quitting the party and leaving all our officeholders hanging in the breeze.

I'd support him

if he wanted to retire and collect SS and Medicare benefits and speak/campaign on behalf of Democrat candidates for the next 20 years.

He is THE ONLY well-known and PROVEN Patriot in US politics and probably only one in the 20th and 21st centuries.
He has been mocked and $hit on consistently for a couple decades by the gop
He owes noone anything.

If he wanted to leave politics for good, I would not hold it against him. He has showed us how, now it our turn to run. That said, if he continued providing his input as the Liberty Guru, I would be most grateful.

I respect him no matter what he chooses.

What I will not respect is people who will attempt to say that, because Ron chose the Republican Party as his party of choice, and Rand may be running in 2016, liberty advocates should stay on the GOP reservation. Not going to happen.

Support the Constitution of the United States

Ron Paul has made great strides

Being put up on the LP ticket could undermine what he's accomplished. It's a tough call but I'll fully support and trust whatever he decides.

Of Course

I would love to see him run, but if he chooses not to, of course I'll support him and continue to look forward to hearing from him in other avenues.

Hell yea

If anyone deserves a cruise its him... Matter of fact take 10 cruises. Around the world.

I do support Ron Paul!

I will support Ron Paul!

You betcha!

I will support OUR guy until my last breath.

I first became tuned into Ron in 1999. And what he did in CONgress and the committees, how he grew up and how he lives his life - wow!- I was in awe of such a magnificent man.

All he has done and what he has accomplished is phenomenal. He is SO very special and a moral compass for everything that is good in the world.

As he says "We must all strive for virtue and excellence." And that is Ron in a nutshell. He has changed my life. Each and every day he is a part of my life.

There is No one who has worked harder for We the People. No one. Period. And I will support him whatever he chooses to do.

He has stated that he is not going to endorse anyone and I do not feel for a second that he is going to run 3rd party.

When his term as CONgressman in Texas is done he will be done with the political machine. In in that arena HE has changed it. It will never be the same. He was the spark who started a Revolution.

It has always been about education and he has succeeded wildly in that endeavor. More people are awake than ever before and the globalist agenda is being exposed.

He deserves the time to be with his family and get some R & R. Although, I know he will not stop fighting the good fight.

I truly do LOVE this man. He is a statesman of the very finest kind. The only one we have and we who have and will continue to support him are truly blessed to be able to a part of his life and all he has done.

God Bless Dr. Ron Paul

Ron Paul is My President

Thanks Sunny

Good comments!

I don't think he's going to do this third party run either..... and I am dreading the next few weeks on DP as the trolls, and the emotional have their way with the forum, and insinuate that somehow Dr. Paul let them down.

Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.... who knows.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

Ron Paul is the most important politician in my lifetime.

So I will always be grateful to him and support him.Of course we need to support other truth/freedom/peace candidates. But may I also suggest that we need to unite and become a more powerful economic force.Money talks and makes people listen. To achieve this,I am thinking along the lines of a website, maybe this one, where we are focused on boycotting or supporting different businesses based on their ethics/morals/values.For instance ,I stopped using cable tv 6 years ago and I know many others here have also done this.If we can link truth/freedom/peace to economic prosperity,I think we could be an awesome force for good.I think it would also be a good thing to discuss and organize localized humanitarian groups to help people who truly do need help, such as the elderly, sick and handicapped where people could invest their own time, food and efforts rather than just donate money to a charity, unsure of where the money is really going.

Thank you for inviting me into the GOP to take a committee seat and become a national delegate armed with the Constitution.

Our rEVOLution has been the greatest good fight of my life and I have no regrets, even if I am tossed into a FEMA camp for standing WITH you, I appreciate what you have inspired in me, to do what I want and be prepared to suffer the consequnces.

Have a wonderful cruise and KNOW, I love you both, and hope you have a wonderful time.

God Bless you abundantly and constantly, peace being with you for ever and ever.

Granger, you're the best

I feel the same way. I would literally die for this great man who has awakened all of us to the thrill for fighting for what is right and good.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

I support Ron and Carol

Going on a Cruise and relaxing 100%!!!

I had been in support of a grassroots 3rd party push months ago, as a tool to get the GOP to think twice about disrespecting Dr. Paul. Who knows if it would have helped then. I don't see what good it would do now. The money is stacked up in the establishments corner and both Romney and Obama would go after us with both barrels blazing, and we just don't have the ammo at this time to fight back with much more than rocks. And if Dr. Paul didn't get into the debates we might as well trade the rocks for feathers.

So of course I support Dr. Paul if he doesn't run 3rd party!

I am!

Well Granger...

You won't have to worry about fema camps. You are well protected for the time being by voting for romney. On second thought, after elections are over and he has no use for you anymore, well...enjoy the dirt floors lol.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

who on earth . . .

created this junk?

Does anyone take responsibility for it?!

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

I don't know

But I do know that many Democrats here agree with it. It why Obama needs to go. It is what we are up against. We live in a little bubble here on DP, where folks forget, we are a minority.

Without Question

Without question, I will NEVER question Dr. Paul.

I fully support, respect and love Dr. Paul whether he accepts our offer or not.

My plea to Dr. Paul is not a selfish one. It is to educate and motivate others that have not been involved in our movement, prior to November.

I still feel that there are many people out there who have not heard Dr. Pauls message. This may likely be because Democrats don't give a hoot about Republican affairs and have not yet heard him speak, either at rallies or on tv.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Dr. Ron Paul will make his own choice

as he always does.

I think it was right to let him know we HOPE he will give one last try. He is so humble he may not have realized we would all support him if he chooses an independent run, or new Liberty Party. It would make such a statement to the world.

I support and respect his choice whatever that choice will be. The revolution will go on no matter what choice is made. We are all Ron Paul.

I agree with you on everything

I think showing him that we would support this was right.

My concern is more for those who have become so hyped up about this that they will need someone to emotionally "blame" if he choses not to pursue it. Emotions run high here, and it is sad and disappointing to watch the down side reactions at times.

Hopefully everyone will find their philosophical core intact, and get the emotional side under control should Dr. Paul decide that this would be an unwise move.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

thank you for making this point . . .

I don't like people who push--

I know some see it as a virtue, but I really do believe in individual liberty, even for Dr. Paul--
