Ron Paul: Libertarian Johnson is “wonderful”

“I think he’s wonderful, and I think he’s doing a good job and people should look at him and every individual should make up his own mind,” Paul, who sought the Republican nomination, told Fox News.

Whatever you do, keep fighting

It could have been some of you who are reading this right now who got my attention in late 2008 after the election. Had it not been for those of you posting youtube videos, along with the occasional Ron Paul for President sign, I would not know who he is, as I had also given up watching TV, and knew about what I was looking for. Thanks to your diligence, I found it. As a result, I have a small brigade of Ron Paul converts around me after I spread the word.

It's not in vain.

Far too much is being made

Far too much is being made here of the word "wonderful" being used with the tone and in the context in which he uses it. You might easily substitute for it "fine" or "very well and good" without changing Dr. Paul's apparent meaning. He is saying Johnson is one fine alternative, and there are others. I can't think he in any way would ever consider voting for anyone who consistently supports the granting of unconstitutional powers to the central government (e.g. the power to impose gay marriage, abortion, marijuana, etc. upon unwilling states and localities).

So you want to "substitute" Dr. Paul's words to better suit you?

Ron Paul didn't say "fine" or "very well and good". He said "Wonderful"!!! Who are you to put words in Dr. Paul's mouth?

In actual argument, as

In actual argument, as opposed to mere jeering, we frequently have to recognize that words have different senses in different contexts. In showing the different senses, we have to use other words. For example, we might note that in one context "umbrella" means a tool for keeping rain off. In another it may refer to a type of insurance that covers a variety of risks. This is not "putting words in someone's mouth." You may prefer jeering to argument, and that is your right, but don't attack argument because it is not jeering.

Wonderful:

1 : exciting wonder : marvelous, astonishing
2 : unusually good : admirable

Which of these definitions from Merriam-Webster is in the proper context for Ron Paul's use of the word "wonderful"? Is Gary Johnson an exciting wonder, or unusually good?

Nice jeer. Irrelevant to my

Nice jeer. Unrelated to my argument. Contexts in which words are used are not the same thing as dictionary acceptations. Enough of this for now.

Dr. Paul will vote for Gary Johnson

I'm still appalled at the way Romney and the GOP mistreated Dr. Paul.
What better way for Dr. Paul to give them the F@#k U bird than to endorse Gary Johnson? Have you heard Dr. Paul say one word of praise for Romney? Stay tuned. I'll go further to say Ron Paul will vote for Gary Johnson.

I'm quite convinced that if Dr. Paul does not run 3rd party...

...or independent, that he will be voting either Libertarian or Constitution party in November.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Read between the lines!

Ron Paul said the Libertarian presidential candidate is wonderful, and doing a good job. Where did he say this? At the Republican convention! Hilarious! I have no problems voting for a presidential candidate that Ron Paul says is wonderful and doing a good job. That's all the endorsement I need.

Why is this video highly

Why is this video highly ranked?? They are dilliberality mocking us.

What?

Who is mocking us? It's not Kennedy or Stossel, they are both libertarians and like Ron Paul.

YELL IT WITH ME!!

RON PAUL 2012!

GARY JOHNSON 2016!

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

This Clip should be milked daily on the DP

That would be "Wonderful"

Also, there should be daily posts of blogs referencing this clip.

Perhaps if this is done long enough we can convince ourselves that RP and G-D himself command us to go GJ.

"You are a den of vipers and thieves."

I mean to rout you out!

-Just because you are among us, does not make you with us

-The door is wide open, anything can slither in

Kennedy interview on Stossel

Go to about 2 minutes and 40 seconds in, and you will hear Ron Paul talk about Gary Johnson after about a minute. This is for those on here that don't believe it.

Ron Paul Told Fox News - Ron Paul : "Gary Johnson is Wonderful"

“I think he’s wonderful, and I think he’s doing a good job and people should look at him and every individual should make up his own mind,” Paul, who sought the Republican nomination, told Fox News.

But Jesse Benton, who directed Paul’s 2012 presidential campaign, told the Daily Caller that Paul “will not endorse Gary Johnson.”

Yeah

i don't think Paul is going to endorse anyone....he believes people can make up their own minds.

Johnson

What else is he going to say about his VP!

well, at least hes better than Romney

...

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

I have to agree with the good doctor.

I too think Gary is wonderful. Perfect, no. Wonderful, yes.

You don't have to be a Johnson supporter to agree

This is a win against the establishment! Congratulation:-)

Bunch of Romney stooges here knocking Gary Johnson.

OF COURSE Gary Johnson isn't Ron Paul. Nobody is Ron Paul. But Gary Johnson is the best of what is left.

false

write in Ron Paul

If you write in Ron Paul in most states ONLY YOU will ever know

you did it. It will not be recorded or counted. So you may as well stay home.

Gary Johnson is a Koch-backed neocon

Gary Johnson is no Ron Paul. He is not a man of peace and non-intervention. He doesn't understand the basics of what the Fed does to impoverish everyone. He is at best a fool and at worst quite evil. Educate yourselves:

Spending/debt went *UP* during his time as governor of New Mexico:

Gary Johnson: Statist:

Confusing foreign policy (e.g., not opposed to foreign intervention):

Then make up your own mind.

I have

I'm actually still trying to find their sources and I'm also wondering if this isn't a ploy to keep Liberty supporter divided just so that Romney will win. I'm not just going to take someone's word for it. Just because it's on the internet on official looking website, doesn't make it true.

This is also why I think neither will win. Gary Johnson has a better chance because he's on the ballot, but as long as stuff like this keeps going around (with no video evidence to support it), we are all going to be stuck with Obama or Romney.

As for the debt, He had cut spending tremendously. A lot of government jobs were dropped. He also vetoes an awful lot of legislation to be any sort of statist.

Also if he was so evil, why would Ron Paul support him? Wouldn't that make Ron Paul compromise his values? Knowing what I have seen of Paul, I don't think so.

about 3 minutes in

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aetQXRCdQIU

and despite what this guy says in the other comment, Gary Johnson did cut spending, but not on everything, since many of his veto's to keep the congress from spending were undone by the NM congress.
