Ron Paul Supporters, You Are Too Naive!

Let's stop being gullible and naive and start being more rational.

It seems as though every time there is a politician/talk show host, for example Palin or Glenn Beck, agreeing with just a minute number of Dr Paul's policies, or when somebody says something positive about Ron Paul, we are quick to throw our support to them. Palin/Beck is a perfect example. Palin...Really? PALIN? BECK?

Also this third party issue has come up far too often. Ron Paul gives the same answer ALL the time. Ron Paul is consistent and has always been that way. From his consistency we should be able to conclude that he is not going to run third party based on the numerous times he has answered the same question. But we should already know that!

This guy below was just telling it as it is, yet the crowd here remained in denial. He was just telling the truth, and received 50 down votes as a result... I know we are more rational/independent thinkers than that.

We down vote this post

And at the sametime we up vote this post?

I think maybe we are clinging on to too much hope which is blinding us from being rational.

You're not being fair!

Although I was NEVER a GJ supporter, and although I discouraged this "VP" slot idea being proposed to Ron, to imply that the delegates and "others" gave into the rumors for a 3rd party run is just not fair.

Why? Because Ron always left that door open, if even a little, so what would you expect of his supporters, by and large?

Bashing RP supporters? Not. People on this website, by & large, do not "bash" each other. They give the facts as to how they see it. Some agree. Some disagree.

You, if anything, seem to be putting yourself above the rest of us! I don't like that. Say your opinion. Leave it at that, but~~

Who are you after only 11 months able to do this, unless you are Nystrom with a pseudonym, or someone else he knows!

I'll tell you what's not fair! THAT's not fair...

But what's evident?

That he has no plans for it, or that he most definitely won't? Just like the whole election, he and many of us here didn't expect him to win, but you never know right? I personally don't believe he will run third party either. However, why didn't he completely rule it out? It's because whether it's a 1 in 10 or 1 in a trillion, - there is a chance that he may reconsider. He may be waiting for the right offer, he may be just taking some added time to think about it, he may just not want to but would do it anyway if pushed enough, or he is simply mean-spirited and wants to keep our tiny little hopes up (that's obviously not it). For whatever reason, he hasn't entirely, completely, ultimately, etc., ruled it out, has he? Can you answer without a shadow of a doubt "why"?

I expected him to win and I

I expected him to win and I still think he won the hearts and minds of many young people. lol, just because he has not completely ruled it out does not give me an excuse to cry wolf and say "Ron Paul is running Third Party!" No! It is more appropriate to say he has no plans to run third party and he keeps an open option for it. To me that is being more true and honest. Ron Paul speaks the truth why can't we do the same?

If hoping is naive we are all

If hoping is naive we are all doomed. Including you Mr. "Rational".

There is nothing wrong with

There is nothing wrong with having hope. All I was saying was it seems like we have TOO much hope to the point where we can't discern. We are bashing each other and not opening our eyes because of TOO TOO much hope.

Using emotions and whims as guides to reality...

is not reliable.

Rational thought... much more so.

"Have fun" -- Dr Paul

You're not doing it right.

Let your emotions guide you to downvote me...

It just proves my point.

I do my best to tell the truth to the best of my abilities regardless if I think it will be popular. I challenge anyone to find a post or comment where I have not. I try to maintain logical discussions grounded in reality.

If I get downvoted for that, so be it.

The downvotes

(and I didn't do one, you don't make that much sense to me) are a proclamation of disapproval of your insulting attitude. To call any one here, much less all of us, naive displays a dismaying lack of judgement and temperament. If you care to continue with your condescending and insulting behavior expect reactions such as the ones you have taken umbrage of. And I'd gladly participate in a "rational" discussion with you.

There are no politicians or bankers in foxholes.

How about rational discussion?

Not up for it?

Downvotes with no reasons... pretty typical...

It's what I've come to expect.

Take it with a grain of salt.

We were f&ck3d in Tampa and need something to lift our spirits.

Hope is the enemy of dictators.

We will gather our bearings soon enough. Consider this much needed "down time".

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

I don't see how venting on

I don't see how venting on fellow rp supporters who are trying to speak the truth lifting our spirits. I rather would go to a Romney Rally and yell out "Cheater" when I see Romney speak, to lift my spirit.

It's all the desperate GJ koolaid drinkers

They're just looking for a figurehead to follow and cheerlead behind.
