this trip to the middle east wasn't so much a peace effort as it was an attempt to build up a war party against Iran. Here's the deal.... Iran sucks, Israel can bomb the shit outta them... game over.

Iran is intending to open

Iran is intending to open its Iranian Oil Bourse (or stock exchange) On Feb 11'th at the latest.

When they do this they will be selling the worlds 3rd largest supply of oil on a market that is not based on buying American debt. They will not be paid in dollars and will not thus be holding our debt. This will seriously impact the economy of America and will be the prime reason for any war with Iran.

This is what is now called blow-back

The rationalizations Bush is giving for his war mongering are so much smoke. We know the real reason he wants to attack Iran, its because just when our dollar is beginning to drop precipitously they have decided to sell oil in euros rather than dollars. This is the message we need to get out to stop this war. That and let people know that we simply cannot afford it. Every troop movement simply indebts us more to China, and as even the comptroller general says, our country is bankrupt and has almost no hope of meeting the social security and medicare obligations ever.

To President Bush: You sir are a hypocrite.

Ron Paul's message is going to grow like wildfire. Speeches like this from Bush, and if the Democrat candidates back it, Ron Paul's ideas will skyrocket.

So, this rhetoric, as long as it stays just rhetoric, could help the Ron Paul campaign tremendously.
