Zogby: unusually strong showing among younger voters by Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson

...Among the most intriguing results of polling that John Zogby disclosed during a presentation for reporters at the Democratic National Convention here was the unusually strong showing among younger voters by Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson...Zogby’s survey research did note a striking trend among members of the 18-to-29-age group, specifically that about 10 percent of them plan to vote for Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson.

All this squable

was going on when in 2008 there was a split by the Liberty Movement over Voting for the Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin, the Libertarian candidate Ralph Barr, and write-ins for Ron Paul. Can anyone say Deja Vu?
I don't think there will ever be a consensus between the whole movement on the support of any one candidate except Ron Paul when he is actually running. Is this how it is going to be in 2016? I sure hope not. How are we ever going to all get behind another Liberty Candidate? We need to be united if we are going to take over or begin a new party. How is this going to happen? From reading posts for this one and against that one. It's going to be a up hill battle just for us to come together.

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

This time

Constitution Party this time has a horrible candidate and is not on many ballots.
So GJ is a clear choice for the Liberty Movement.
He never raised taxes in NM and actually lowered them 14 times!

Write in Ron Paul

A vote for Gary Johnson is a wasted vote, and so is a write in vote for Ron Paul, but at least my protest vote supports the issues I'm fighting for.

Gary Johnson doesn't seem to know anything about fiat money or give a damn. He's either a puppet, or not worth listening to.

So you disagree with Ron Paul...

...that Gary Johnson is "wonderful" and "doing a good job"? I think I'll trust Ron's judgment on this one.

Freedom cannot reign with stupidity at the helm!

Umm- in order to protest - doesn't they voice need to be heard

Not sure where you live- but I don't think here in CT anybody even looks at the ballots - so who's eyes would thy protest fall upon??
Johnson will not win - but his numbers WILL be posted.

That is a protest.

Write in whoever

you want....but in polls i think we should all voice gary johnson because that at least could potentially get another candidate into the debates, and get a portion of our message out to the masses....otherwise noone is exposed to anything but what barrack and romney have to say.

Gary who?

No seriously...Gary Who?

They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds. -mexican proverb

Gary Who?

Mainstream media in NM was asking the same thing and was laughing at him saying he has absolutely no chance to win -- and he won in a 2 to 1 democrat state.

Johnson

I will not VOTE for Johnson based on the life issue. Without life, liberty is meaningless. However, if POLLED, I will express a preference for Johnson, and I think all Paul followers should do likewise.

So will vote for Romney, the

So will vote for Romney, the only Pro-:Life candidate?

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Nope

Nope, not voting for Rombot2012 either. I would if I thought he was really pro-life and would do something about it (like Ron Paul), but he won't.

Also, the shenanigans at the RNC! I definitely will not be voting for either of the hairballs the dominant parties have coughed up.

GJ

GJ said he would appoint Judge Nap to SCOTUS and Napolitano is pro-life.
GJ says it's up to states to decide on this issue and that's also Ron Paul's position.

Paul vs. Johnson

Paul also had a plan to legislatively strip the federal courts of jurisdiction over the life/abortion issue.

I'm not sure the courts will ever overturn Roe vs. Wade. It will probably have to be done some other way (probably by government collapse, if you want my bet)

I just don't think Johnson is 1/10 of the man that Ron Paul is, and if I am going to cast a protest vote, it might as well be for someone that I truly agree with on all of the important issues (not sure there is someone out there like that with Paul out of the picture)

Let's give the libertarian

Let's give the libertarian p[arty 15-20% of the vote... then things will begin to change..

stop throwing the vote away on write-ins etc..

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

in this 3 way race

I wonder -- could 35% be enough to win the election?
Low turn out...Obama and Romney destroying each other with nasty tv ads...
