Wasting Your Vote on the Lesser of Two Evils

Is there really a choice in the 2012 Presidential Election? We have to choose between a socialist, Obama, and a socialist, Romney. When I was in school, it was taught that communism was evil (communism is just an extreme of socialism). Some would say we have to choose the lesser of two evils when we vote, but let’s think about that. In order to pick the less of something, you have to have something that is substantially “less”. Here are some of the issues: government controlled health care, gun control, abortion, gay marriage, bailouts, corruption, NDAA supporter, war, the Federal Reserve, to name a few. A very important question is, where do these “candidates” differ?

I want to address the premise that we have to “vote for the lesser of two evils” in the first place. The people of this country have somehow been hoodwinked on this concept. Every four years, we are somehow made to believe that we “must” vote for a horrible candidate because the other guy is even worse. Common sense tells us, voting for the “lesser” of two evils is still voting for evil! If that doesn’t start getting you to think, how about what God says in the Bible in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 – Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Both candidates not only support government health care, they both “wrote it”, hence, “Obamacare” or “Romneycare”. It is unbelievable that so many people have accepted socialized medicine. A whole generation was fooled with Medicare. In the end, do you really think the government is going to “take care of you”? Well, in a sense they are because Obamacare contains death panels. And don’t think for a moment that Romney would change that.

Obama wants to disarm the American people – we already know that (UN Small Arms Treaty). As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney signed an assault weapons ban. Under either one of these two “candidates”, your right to bear arms is in jeopardy.

On two “social” issues, abortion and gay marriage, Obama and Romney are no different. Regarding bailouts, Romney took a 10 million dollar bailout and “saved” Bain Capital because of it. And the media tries to get us to think that Romney is a great businessman. Is this truly how someone should run a business? We already know that Obama supports bailouts – just think GM. The National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA for short, substantially reduced our liberties. We already know that Obama signed it. During the Republican Party debate in South Carolina, Mitt Romney said that he would sign the NDAA. Both support the Patriot Act. Again, there is no difference between the “candidates”.

The Federal Reserve is a secretive, privately owned entity in partnership with the Federal Government. They print our money and charge us interest. They print this money out of thin air, without any backing (if we do that on our printers at home they call it counterfeiting). Also, they loan out money through the fraudulent Fractional Reserve Banking System. Both Romney and Obama fully support the Federal Reserve and believe that the president should not question the “independence” of the Federal Reserve. Both Romney and Obama oppose a full audit on the Federal Reserve. Maybe both want to protect their biggest financial backers, the bankers.

Remember the song from the 1960’s, Fortunate Son, by Creedence Clearwater Revival? Google the lyrics and read them and think about what they say. They will draft OUR sons and daughters - we are not millionaires or politicians, unlike Romney or Obama, who can pay or make deals for their children to escape being recruited into required military service. So OUR children will be conscripted to fight their foreign wars. That’s what it all comes down to – money and power. Their children will not be used as disposable pawns. Henry Kissinger, who is infamously known for referring to military men as “dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy”, has just been announced as a foreign policy advisor to Mitt Romney. Both Romney and Obama will attack Iran and they will use OUR children to do it. Think about why and remember the United States of America killed many Iraqi and Afghan people and many American soldiers died. Why? Did Iraq or Afghanistan attack our country?

Everyone knows (or should by now unless you are in a coma or something) how corrupt the Obama administration is. What about Romney? Did he honestly get the GOP nomination? How many people do you know genuinely support him? There are numerous incidences of fraud, cheating, and corruption during the primaries and caucuses across this nation. Don’t take my word for it, Google it! Even at the Republican National Convention the rules were changed before the vote was even cast. Part of the rules change was how many states a candidate needs to carry, increasing the number of states from five to eight, even though one of the candidates besides Romney already had the five required states before the vote. (How convenient for the Republican Establishment and the Romney campaign to eliminate any other candidate from being nominated by changing the “rules” of the election at the Convention.) During the vote, the teleprompter displays the words or “script” of what the chairman reads. The outrageous thing was that the teleprompter had the results for a rules change vote before the vote was cast! And further, the chairman called the vote in favor of the rules change even though the voice vote did not corroborate what was actually voiced. What amazing blatant dishonesty and corruption proving that the Convention is just ceremonial and the will of the American people is rendered irrelevant. In addition, Google what happened to Maine’s delegates at the Convention. What it all boils down to is that the Republican Party Establishment picked Romney for us time and time again with the help of a controlled and complacent media. And somehow we are to believe that a Romney administration will be more honest than Obama’s! It’s just “politics” as usual, isn’t it? There is no “change” we can believe in! Are you mad yet? You ought to be!

And can you really trust a single word that comes out of Romney’s mouth? He would probably win the award for the biggest flip-flopper that there is if there were such a contest. He even flip-flops his stance on an issue in the same day. He is worse than a typical politician. He is a LIAR! He doesn’t stand for anything. And of course Obama’s record speaks for itself. Did he even keep one of his campaign promises?

So, hopefully I have demonstrated that there is no difference in the “candidates” who were chosen for us by the “bosses” of the two party system. These two “candidates” are both socialists who are enemies of freedom. Mitt Romney is just a carbon copy of Barack Obama which means there is no “choice” in this election! I propose the American people vote their conscience and protest this madness and write in a candidate to prove to the powers that be that they will insult our intelligence no longer. For the most part, we don’t have an election system anymore, at least not on the Federal level. So why continue to play the game? If someone wanted to play Monopoly with you and you knew that they wanted to be the bank and cheat while doing it, would you agree to or even want to play? What would be the point? Therefore, what is the point in voting for either major political party’s “candidate”? This “game” is no different. And don’t tell me if we write in a candidate then we “wasted our vote”. The Establishment of the Republican Party gave us a weak candidate on purpose. Why? Get away from your TV long enough to ponder that one. The only “wasted” vote is one that goes against our conscience, common sense, and what is right. Shame on you if you fall for this mentality yet one more time! There is a saying attributed to Einstein that says that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I used to wonder how in the world the Germans could have voted for Hitler. A century from now people will be wondering how Americans could have been so ignorant and voted for socialism (communism). Once enlightened, protest is our only option other than revolution. What would the American colonists have done?

If you can’t stomach writing in Ron Paul, who is founding father material and believes in the Constitution and a free market, who has a consistent voting record for liberty, small government, believes in a non-interventionist foreign policy, and wants to audit and reform our financial system, and who is really the best and honest candidate we have had in our life times, then vote for Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny or Aunt Clara or even yourself. It would be a better vote than one for evil.

This an excellent and points

This an excellent and points out many facts many Americans refuse to accept. The two videos still available on youtube Romney Obama the Same? and The Ultimate Mitt Romney Flip-Flop Collection would wake up anyone capable of critical thinking. We have become a nation of sheep. many instead of reading the many available books, publications and doing their own research still depend on the corporate controlled news media for their information. Judge Andrew P. Napolitano's book, A NATION OF SHEEP points out much of America today. G.Edward Griffin:" If America is to survive as a free nation, its citizens must become far more politically educated than they are at present."

You're correct

As I go around campaigning for local candidates so many people have to tell me they watch Fox News every day. It's very depressing and downright scary that so many people are brainwashed this way. They believe everything they see and hear on Fox as gospel truth and NEVER look any further!

Excellent article

Ive brought up these very same points/evidence to Republicans of how Romney is no different than Obama.

I used evidence and logic (often videos with both candidates supporting the same views).

Most of these people seem to hate logic and evidence. It interferes with their opinions - usually parroted from Fox or Limbaugh.

The Dems are no different.

Jefferson was right. A democratic republic requires an informed and moral people. (Moral in the sense of respecting the rights of others.)

We seem to be neither.

So true...

Maybe it's the flouride, GMO, or vaccines. But I think the biggest cause is the black box of Babylon (TV).

Bumper stickers

My "Turd Sandwich 2012" bumper stickers arrived yesterday. I cannot bring myself to stick them on my bumpers - not because I think voting for the lesser evil is a Good Thing, but because I have never displayed anything scatological anywhere besides the internets.

Who ever we vote for we should not reward the Duopoly!

Whether we vote Gary Johnson or write in Ron Paul we should try and get a very large block voting. We are having the same problem that stopped the Tea party in their tracks, everyone has their own idea on what should be done or vote for. The Tea Party split in different direction and became ineffective.

After what the RNC done to the Paul delegates, we need to try and punish them. If we can remove 10 to 15% block from the duopoly and give it to another candidate this would send shockwaves through the GOP. They would think twice before doing this again, because it could be the end of the duopoly.

I remember when Ross Periot took a large voting block and gave the election to Bill Clinton. The GOP was wandering around like lost puppies the first year. This was the time when Rush Limbaugh show really took off and got the GOP back on the Wrong track.

Who ever we do vote for we should vote to punish the GOP for their past sins. I am leaning towards the Libertarian Party, if we could get the party up to 20% this would really hurt the GOP. I don't believe Gary Johnson has a chance to win. The election is in Obama's hands no matter what.

Thank you - that was very well written!

I loved the line,

"The only “wasted” vote is one that goes against our conscience, common sense, and what is right."

Back in January we wrote to several hundred people,

"Why don't we collectively vote our conscience every time and get out of the rut we've fallen into? Who ever came up with “the lesser of two evils”? Is that supposed to be a strategy? We don't want evil to any degree!"

I marvel that so many nice people look dumbfounded when they learn of abuses of power "How can they get away with this?!" they exclaim and I tell them, "Look, if people continue to vote for the lesser of two evils, they shouldn't be surprised when they're evil."

So I love your paragraph,

"I want to address the premise that we have to “vote for the lesser of two evils” in the first place. The people of this country have somehow been hoodwinked on this concept. Every four years, we are somehow made to believe that we “must” vote for a horrible candidate because the other guy is even worse. If that doesn’t start getting you to think, how about what God says in the Bible in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 – Abstain from all appearance of evil."

Thanks...

for your encouraging words!

I'm starting to be less concerned with this one office

I'm starting to be less concerned with this one office, and more concerned about the 4,000,000 other government employees. The president comes and goes and is influenced by the same people.

The other people entrenched in saving their jobs and pensions stick around forever.

Currently consuming: Morehouse's "Better off free", FDR; Wii U; NEP Football

Hitler had the whole world fooled...

He was even Times Man of the Year.

I'm glad there is a 3rd choice...

not only two that will be listed on my ballot.

EXCELLENT !!! BUMP !!!

Much more can be quoted from the source of truth; scripture. but very well said!
Thank you!

A patriot must always be prepared to defend his country from his government.

Lesser Evil?

Com'on their giving you a choice.

Do you want to be run over by a bus or simi?

Seems an obvious pick to me.....

Matter of

Principle, I am leaving Ron Paul's name on a piece of paper in the voting booth if I have to. No ones going to change my mind.

Insanity Indeed!

If after the now obvious-to-all malfeasance perpetrated by the criminals at the Republican convention, Americans choose either of the two controlled, appointed and paid-well-to-lie puppets, then they get what they deserve! It's just sad that the rest of us have to suffer the consequences of the willfully uninformed electorate!

Presidents are front men

Our presidents are front men for the same 10 fat cats, so the debate of lessor evil is mute.

It becomes an issue of WHO is on board their parties.

In the Obamanation camp we have Hillary who controls the central committees working to dismantle the constitution and give us, and the world, global corporate control in a NWO of, by, and for global corporations.

In the Robme camp we have few Neocons fighting to dislodge the Ron Paul Republicans, Tea Partiers and Palin Earthquakers who are working together to hold Robme to his loyalty oath to the constitution, and Bill of Rights.

The 10 fat cats and their corporate rats, which control MSM, want Obamanation to have another 4 years to achieve this goal. Robme's job is to dismantle the GOP, bankrupt it, and render it a third party giving Obamanation the power of the Republic of Communist China's Communist Party, where we will be yoked.

Both fronts are evil, so no one can vote FOR either front man if they truley want liberty and freedom, but a voter can vote FOR the people manning the committees and offices under the front man, either FOR a Global Corporate Government, or for those who are fighting within the GOP to Restore America.

I'm NOT voting FOR Robme, however, I AM voting GOP FOR the Ron Paul Republicans, Tea Partiers, Palin Earthquakers who need the opportunity to restore America to constitutional government.

Sorry to disagree...

Sorry to disagree, but a vote for GOP is a vote for Romney, no matter how you want to explain it. I see no reason whatsoever to cast a vote for GOP even if we have hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul Republicans in the mix - and I'm quite certain each of the hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul Republicans will understand perfectly.

Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof

Sorry to disagree with you...

Just so you know I'm not voting for the two-party system. I'm either voting for Virgil Goode (Constitution Party) or writing in Ron Paul. I like Gary Johnson on a lot of issues, but not pro-choice. Can't do that.

The Presidency IS a puppet show. Only those who are anointed by the CFR and Bilderberg's etc, get in these days to fulfill their agenda. Obama has just gone really fast with the agenda and has awakened a sleeping giant. Romney will fulfill the agenda, just subtly. Incidentally, Romney was invited to the Bilderberg's secret meeting, so he's probably going to get in.

However, as Ron Paul has told us - focusing on the smaller races to get liberty candidates elected to represent us will pay off in the long run. Its good strategy to elect congressmen, senators, etc...who are Ron Paul Republicans and Tea Partiers (Tea party sometimes need a little help, but they're much better than the average neo-cons). So I don't understand why you wouldn't vote for even one of hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul Republicans (oh, if we should be so fortunate to have so many!!) and then expect them to understand why you didn't vote for even one of them?

No matter?

That's sad, but it's very appropriate for GJ, which I don't agree with you that hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul Republicans.. supporters maybe.. GJ got 21 votes in my entire county. http://www.disinfo.com/2012/06/gary-johnson-politics-be-damn...

C_T_CZ's picture

21 Turns Into 200 or 2000

So in your county when Johnson goes from 21 votes to 200 or 2000 votes, and that same story is repeated all around the country, and Romney loses by a margin covered by the Johnson vote...Well, you tell me.

If Romney loses, by a margin covered by the Johnson vote, will that sting the GOP like nothing else we can do? Or, do you think that by voting for Romney, you are sending them a better / more powerful message? I would suggest that if you vote for Romney, you are playing into their hands and perpetuating the two party system that gives us evil and more evil in every election cycle.

Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof

It's not going to happen

I don't want Obama to win. You do.

Obama wont win

Romney will lose

No matter weather Romney or

No matter weather Romney or Obama wins, America loses.
