The Ron Paul picture is gone...

I know that the Daily Paul is moving past focusing on Ron Paul's 2012 campaign, but did the Ron Paul picture on the right of the DP really have to get taken down? After all, our movement and this website IS still inspired by the good doctor even if it's no longer mainly about getting him elected. And that's all the picture said: "The Daily Paul is inspired by Ron Paul". Now there is nothing about him, not even a smaller picture. Does anyone else feel the same way?

What is the argument in favor of removing the picture?

I say PLEASE repost the picture...It appears I am not alone in that position.

Michael Nystrom weilds the gavel since it is his site and no amount of 'voting' otherwise counts. Personally,I feel it is an unfortunate decision on his part and hope he will reconsider.

If not, then I propose we all become basic subscribers ( $5 a month) which then allows us all to upload a picture which will show up with each of our comments. There are thousands to choose from!

That way the board will not only just have ONE pic of Dr.Paul, It will be covered with many Dr. Paul pics!!!

too, I have been meaning too for a while.

I dont know now, if this site does not stay dedicated to the Priniciples and teachings of Ron Paul, then I think I might have to find somewhere else, more free, or try and make a new site.

but I thought if a lot of us did this all at once then we can have Ron Paul pics all over each thread which would circumvent the decision Michael made of trying to make him disappear. Oh well, just a thought.

However I was thinking about this today and my conclusion was that it was a mistake to change the name Paul to represent Peace Gold and Love. The site was originally set up to honour Dr. Paul and his message and it can easily continue with that meaning. It would be like having a website devoted to the thinking of Thomas Jefferson called the Daily Jefferson with a picture of the founding father on top and an about section discussing his life and philosophy.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to realise that the more things change the more they remain the same. There may be a symbolic benefit to removing Dr. Paul's picture to say that it is time to move on but surely we are moving on in the spirit of what Dr. Paul stands for and always will stand for...the meaning of America. For that reason alone he should remain and the website should revert to the Daily Paul without the contortions being performed to make it something else.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. There is no shame in admitting you made a mistake and rectifying it.

A well-meaning friend of mine has been pushing the idea that the Ron Paul name should not be attached to the Movement anymore.... I could not disagree more...

I am PROUD to stand behind the MAN who started it all.... I will always be a Ron Pauler...this movement is his legacy... if we become "liberty Republicans" or what-have-you... the movement will be just as co-opted as the Tea Party was- but with his name attached there will be no mistaking whose values we represent...

This is the daily PAUL, inspired by Ron Paul, and built on the ideas that he's lived his life by! Why would the picture be removed?

I remember when the "Top Recent Topics" started getting fewer and fewer + comments (now most are single digit whereas double digit use to be common). Throw in the the bullshit about paying for a premium membership and giving me nothing, it almost feels like the nonsense Campaign for Liberty mails to my house!

This thread is why I think we are all united behind Ron Paul and his principles. There really is NO ONE. Not even his own son that can match up to his standards.

Ron was probably the only one that would've brought me into this movement, and we ought to remember him for that.

PLEASE LAUNCH A CAMPAIGN FOR 2016 RON as soon as you are done resting of course.
