Questions for my DP friends...

I have some questions about who to vote for and I definitely want the opinions of my fellow Ron Paul supporters here. If Ron Paul doesn't run third party, who should we really vote for? I have a family and a little kid that I want to protect so I will not vote for Obama under any circumstances. I think he is trying to bankrupt the USA so he can declare martial law. Under Martial law, the current President can be President indefinitely. I'm afraid that is what he is shooting for and I think he wants it to happen before the general election but that may not happen. The way I see it, Romney or Obama will be the next president. If there is hope for Gary Johnson I sure will keep that in mind. This whole time I figured I would vote for Romney if Paul lost because of a few reasons. One, he was never president so you really don't know really how he would be since he is such a flip flopper. Another, I'm not sure he would declare martial law and purposely bankrupt us, also Rand Paul may have some influence on him. I support Rand Paul but I DO NOT support his endorsement of Romney at the time he did it. Now after watching the RNC, I am wondering if I could really vote for Romney and have a clear conscious afterwards. To me he acted like a spoiled rich kid that must get his way through his dirty lawyers. I don't like Romney in any way shape or form. The choices for president make me sick. One thing I would like to plant in everyone's head and ponder is, If Obama wins and does not become a dictator, wouldn't we just have 4 years of hell then another 8 because Romney would run again? My conscious is telling me to write in Ron Paul so I can live with it but not sure if that is the right thing to do. Just want some ideas because I have not made my mind up yet. Thanks!

Update: Just wanted to add I am sick at our choices for President between Obama and Romney not Gary Johnson, although I do not support Gary in his Pro choice in any way! I am PRO life! That is my big issue with him! Also I want you all to know I love Ron Paul like family! He is my hero and always will be! I was physically sick with how he was treated at the RNC and still am. I'd do anything for Ron Paul!

Take solace in the fact that,

Take solace in the fact that, no matter what you decide, your one vote won't make a damn bit of difference in the outcome.

So if you must vote, just do what you think is right then forget about it. If you vote Romney and he makes a mess of things, which he almost certainly will, it won't be your fault because he would have been elected anyway.

What's more important - MUCH more important than voting - is living life in harmony with the principles of liberty.

Virgil Goode

6 time congressman Virgil Goode. Christian Conservative with libertarian Ideas. He will only run for one term and will not accept more than $200 from anyone. He in many ways like Ron Paul. Not sure if he is on the ballot in Ohio but probably. If you can write Ron Paul in I would do that. I live in Nevada. Virgil is on the Ballot. Though he once was a Democrat, he is a conservative and a christian and very Pro-life. His main issue is sovereignty and the securing of our borders. Like Gary Johnson I don't like their foreign policy as much as Doctor Paul. Virgil is anti- globalist, pro second amendment and will stop agenda 21, so he is much better than Obama on foreign policy. Romney would attack Iran at the first chance he could....that is why Doctor Paul was blackballed.

I don't Mean to be a prick but..

Your vote doesn't count. This election is fixed.

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

One question eh?

One answer. And you know what it is.

And hang in there.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

I'd vote for Gary Johnson happily.

He has proven that he has the ability to listen to flaws in his politics. He is still young and don't let this sentence discourage you from his becoming liberty-oriented stances in the recent months.

He is very much a practical libertarian. He believes in laissez faire economics. He understands, in as much a practical sense as Ron Paul, that the truest of free markets produce the greater goods and products for everyone.

His foreign policy is nearly identical to Ron Paul's. He addresses the use of Marque and Reprisal, a declaration of war is constitutional only by congress, and foreign aid is not to be distributed, except through catastrophe; and that is only when we have the money.

So, I propose to you that if you have conflicts with these issues, don't vote for him. If you would vote for him, do as you did with Ron Paul and disseminate his message as far as you can.

Love thy enemy.

I am 90% sure I will vote for

I am 90% sure I will vote for GJ. I suppose there is a very small chance I would vote for Obama, just because I don't think he is the worst president this country has ever had, but in the end it will probably be Johnson.

A lot of people on this site think that it doesn't matter Mitt or Obama, they are both the same and so it doesn't matter who wins. While I disagree with Obama 80-90% of the time, I'm a bit different and believe that Obama is better than Mitt and more fit to be president. We'll see what happens in the fall, but as of now I am in the GJ camp.

I also was having a tough

I also was having a tough time deciding how to vote. My vote will likely go to Johnson, though it will not be an enthusiastic vote. A vote for Romney is a vote for Obama.

I agree it is hard

It's physically sickening. You want to do what is right but what is right? Thanks for your input.
