North Carolina GOP Shenanigans At The RNC

This article is done from behind the scenes in the NC GOP delegation at the RNC. We had a reporter following us the entire week. He explains all the shenanigans that the NC GOP did. It is well worth reading.

Reinforcements are coming

We are joining the ranks and will back up our fellow liberty lovers and patriots here in NC. Enemies of liberty in NC, it's time to step aside.

Robin Hayes...

needs a couple of broken knee caps...same with Ada Fisher and Bill Lack. These a-holes that run things on the state-level and those who are complicit in the blocking of Liberty should be delt with swiftly and harshly!! Being polite and respectful? That wagon is full!!
I'm over it, folks...I will be running for local office and anyone who tries this crap WILL get a bloody nose...Yes, I'll spend the night in jail, but at this point I really don't give a crap. This is our nation...these are our communities, and they're being systematically taken away from us. Watch the 'Atlas Shrugged II' trailer that's currently on the front page of DP...
Playing by the rules and being polite doesn't work. We need to storm the Bastile and take this country back!! Torches and pitchforks for everyone!!!

The Violence You Propose...

is not welcome. Please don't bother running for office. Replacing a bully with a bully solves nothing.

agreed

Violence only creates more violence. We will go much further if we take a peaceful approach.

Is this "the American Dream" all the RNC's cliche-ridden

speeches were talking about?

OK, what do you all think of my open letter to Mr. Hayes:

Here I am, Mr. Hayes. I am a wife & mother & have been a loyal registered Republican for 24 years. I also happen to be a business owning, law-abiding, chuch-going, school-volunteering, tax-paying, cash-contributing natural citizen. Unfortunately for me and the rest of the Republicans of the State of North Carolina, none of those things matter to you.

Here is where you need to listen: I also pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands. That part of this great Republic whose voice you purport to represent is loaded with an irate, tireless minority that doesn't appear to have a voice in what you call the North Caroilina Republican party.

Someone's got to go. Is it us or you? I'd start packing by 2014 if I were you.

looks good

He will be packing sooner than that. I can bet good money he will bail by the end of the year and appoint Wayne King as chairman so he can run as incumbent next year.

Hmmm..

I will look him up. We are being over-run by the wrong kinds of Republicans around here. I can't believe I actually might sympathize with the Blue Dems, especially in the governor's race. A first for me.

David Rouzer (R-NC) is running in my district.

Time for a Letter to the Editor. :)

fellow distrct member

I am in nc-7 as well. I was an alternate delegate in tampa. It was a mess, and i was in the room for the "chairman hayes show". Wasnt pretty.

Show love

When the media does good we should thank them. They covered us and it was fairly written. I will be sending my gratitude also.

Thank you North Carolina

I too was an alternate delegate in Georgia.Although I did not advance to the RNC...It is inspiring to see how many REAL Paul delegates really were there. The next step is to keep bringing the message of Policy change and for that to happen we need Liberty lovers from all political parties to hold their elected officials accountable. Call your congressmen, call your senators...every week and keep up with the issues...we can do this we are all Americans that love Dr. Pauls message of freedom.

pettyphy

Good for them

Let them cut their noses to spite their faces.

This will be the first time in decades that I will not vote for ANYONE. Ron Paul or no one.

Keepin' it real.

vote your conscience

Whoever that may be, write in RP. I did in 08, and I feel great for doing so.

same here

wrote him in and still feel great about that. We will never ever get what we want if we do not ask for it.

My respect and thanks to the delegates who went through this crap; I'm sure it was life-changing.

Felt sick to my stomach

Felt sick to my stomach reading this.

Southern Agrarian

Me too

What they did was wrong, and beyond despicable. Trust me we are coming for them next year. In NC all the leadership is up for election next year.

NC GOP Chaiman

Robin Hayes told the NC delegates they HAD to support their leaders and vote in favor of the infamous rules change at the RNC. Several opposed this, but he demanded that they fall in line and follow their leadership. He was visibly upset when he realized the meeting was being filmed. Temper tantrum ensued. These establishment Republicans have become so blatant in their attempts to suppress the fight for Liberty and our Constitution. We, the Liberty movement, aren't going anywhere....we are stronger than ever in our convictions. Get involved locally- organize, support local libery candidates, become a delegate and/or a committee member and take back your state GOP.

Peace Prosperity Liberty!

Video of the NC Meeting (my post from 9/3)

Perhaps mods would like to include video with this front page post.

It's Amazing

It's really amazing that the pro Romney officials, delegates and party chairs either don't see or don't care how hypocritical and stupid they look, bleating about dictators in other countries, then acting the same way at the convention.

These are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others."

--Groucho Marx

I don't get it either

They seem so cocky. They don't care who sees it.

I'm here in NC also, and as a

I'm here in NC also, and as a North Carolinian, I'd like to add a thought.

The gentleman who spoke towards the end of the meeting just before the vote took place, stated that the only time rule 16 would even be a problem for NC delegation, is if he, as a delegate, stated he was a supporter of one candidate, and then latter changed his mind ans stated he was now for someone else.

Isn't this what the whole election and vetting process is all about? What if I started out stating that as a represenative of my distric, I am a delegate for Romney, then latter I as well as the distric I now represent and give proxy vote for, now learns incriminating evidence about Mr Romney, can't I, and shouldn't I as my duty now change my stated allegence to another more worthy candidate, who more represents the integrity of the distric I represent as a delegate?

According to this gentleman I should be disavowed as a delegate! So now, if they set up a campaign that gets a huge majority for any one candidate early on in the campaign process, essentially the race is over. And besides without the delegate selection it's all fixed! They've already, long ago proven they know how to fix a primary, and a straw pole!

Question, can this Party be helped? or has it already burned to the ground like Caesar's Rome?
